I am a dentist practicing full time and just didn't realize the havoc that my profession had been doing to my body, until I finally was in so much pain with my neck and lower back that I was told by Duke that I needed yet another back and neck surgery which would have put me out commission again for several months, promising even more continued debilitating affects from the surgeries. This is my first review I have ever written about anything!! I feel compelled to write this because Dr. Ju has literally changed my life and the possibilities of how I am able to show up in the world now! I am a very fit and active 40 year old woman with three young children 6 and under. I have experienced neck pain of and on over the last 8 years. Some months were worse than others. I started a new job in January that has me driving in the car a lot. The pain in my neck literally became unbearable. I couldn't sleep because I was in so much pain and I dreaded going to work because the driving made the pain so much worse!! This of course effected the way I showed up to my family at home and limited the things I could do with them. I found Dr. Ju in April. I want to Dr. Ju because I was in a car accident and the regular chiropractor I went to made me take X-rays and after looking at them she said she couldn't help me or anyone else in this area except Dr. Ju since he is the best in scoliosis treatment that can help me. The only doctor that was qualified to help me was Dr. Ju. My first time at Dr. Ju office I was so fascinated by all the different equipment. I never seen in the chiropractor office look like this before. I told my mom that everyone in his office is so nice the energy was so welcoming. Dr. Ju had me take a lot of X- rays and a MRI we had a consultation after I was finished. He explained to me want he thought needed to be done since I have scoliosis. Dr Ju is a dedicated and amazing Doctor with helping patients achieve a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Ju told me I would have to wear a back brace for my scoliosis. Which I did not want to at first since I was going away to College. However I thought it was wise to get treatment done now since I am still young instead of waiting till I get older. I have been wearing my brace since May and I can see a difference in my curve in the small amount of time I have been getting treatments done. I purchased an introductory 4 session Laser Sculpt Lipo offer from Groupon so wasn't sure what to expected as my last experience purchasing a similar service with another provider didn't go well. To my surprise and relief, I walked into a great environment, with smiling, friendly front desk staff and well lit space. The check in process was also pretty painless even though there are about 6 or so patient information forms to complete on your initial visit. Fahya took my vitals and explained the technology used and the packages offered to me which was really informative. The Groupon offer is for basic services with an initial 40 minute session and 20 minute follow up sessions, but you do have the option to purchase an upgrade with more sessions and longer time(which I did) for a very reasonable price. Emily actually performed my procedure and she explained the process step by step, which was very reassuring. She took my measurements and my "before" photos and we started the procedure which is painless and easy. Both of those ladies were extremely knowledgeable, professional and very personable. The treatment rooms are cozy and inviting and the ladies help you feel at ease throughout the process. What sets Dr. Ju apart from all the other chiropractors is that he is very thorough on his findings and that he actually does corrective care through many different techniques but most importantly through CBP. Many Chiropractors claim they do corrective care but unfortunetly do not, and it shows. Upon my first appointment with Dr. Ju, he went over my symptoms I was experiencing, did a comprehensive exam to see how my range of motion was and to top it off, he also performed x-rays, in house! On my next appointment he went over the x-rays that were taken. I could not believe my results. He was able to show me the root of my problems. Unbelievable!! I knew I needed to take action. After 3 months of care with Dr. Ju he performed another set of x-rays to show exactly how my spine had taken to his care. My spine had transformed drastically for the better!! My discomfort that I was experiencing was no longer there. He was able to help me achieve the natural curve in my spine again which helped alieve the majority of the symptoms that I was experiencing. Dr. Ju has been such a blessing. I have been going to him for a little over a year and a half now. He is extremely intelligent and very knowledgeable. When I first started going to him I had a lot of issue for 23. Since, I have started going I don't get sick as often, less headaches, much better posture, extremely tired all the time, along with a lot of other things being resolved. There was one time I went in with a headache and after the adjustment, it was gone almost instantly. He wants to improve life for you and will do what he can to get you to the best/healthiest you. I am very happy with the comprehensive care I am receiving from Dr. Ju. Both he and his staff are very knowledgeable about the importance of spinal health and its impact on overall health. I like that exercise and nutrition are an important component of treatment and maintenance. My husband has head neck pain for a few years - radiating down his arms and decreasing his strength. We have repeatedly gone to specialists - only to be told there was nothing wrong.
