They were extremely inconsiderate toward my mother--who is 92 years old and in poor health who arrived on time for her scheduled appointment with the podiatrist, Dr Yu. The staff member, G Yu was very insensitive toward my mom. I tried to explain to G Yu that my mother had an open wound on her back and was in pain; despite having arrived punctually for her scheduled appointment, she was left waiting for over an hour and was the last patient to be seen. I was attempting to kindly intercede on behalf of my mother, who suffers from dementia and cannot speak for herself. G Yu completely disregarded my concerns and in retaliation she told me not to bring my mother back again. G. Yu appears to be the person in charge of the facility--the one who initiated the despicable act of patient abandonment--since the doctor simply complied when she asked him to discharge my mother and hand over her discharge papers. They are clearly in violation of ACA and HIPAA. I would like to remind this family medicine practice that they are not in China. We are in the United States of America, and people here have the right to be treated with respect and fairly. They advertise this website that does not exist: www.advancedmedicalfootcare.org. The other (3) Doctors and practices simply tried shifting weight off the area with new shoes, and shoe inserts which would work for a few weeks, and then after the ulcer opening again they would just try skin grafts, or other inserts. I was referred because of the last open ulcer to Family Foot and Ankle Specialists for wound care, and Dr Riera was able to see the bone protrusion that others had missed/overlooked as the cause. After an out patient one day operation, the speed of my healing was so rapid compared with my history of other attempts proved to me that it was obviously the cause of my troubles. I cannot stress strongly enough that if you are not getting the results you expect from your doctor(s) to get a second opinion from Family Foot and Ankle Specialists.

Was told for diagnosis, to schedule appointment with regular doctor, which I did, but was booked with a PA, not doctor. 45 minutes past my appointment time to see a PA for 5 minutes who did nothing- no new tests, still no diagnosis. Someone suggested a surgeon there. Again almost 45 minutes late past my appointment time to see an older very grumpy surgeon who acted completely annoyed to answer questions . Not a professional environment in my experiences. There are several admin people when you first walk in, most not doing anything but would not check me in - said you have to do it yourself at a touch screen kiosk that no one was sanitizing after multiple people touching it. They were fast to ask for my credit card to get a copay once I checked myself in.

I left a message Saturday morning and heard back in a matter of a couple hours. Instead of recommending I go to the ER on a weekend, he took time out of his day off to come to the office and care for my issue. I was blown away, I did not expect this act of kindness. I have never met a doctor who has gone out of his way to this extent to help. Aside from those great things, the office is clean and welcoming. Doctor Resnick is very friendly and patient. I recommend Doctor Resnick to all!
