I was told we have no record anything that you are talking about so moving forward when you call here listen to what is being told to you and give us the respect that we are due. I tried to explain to her that I was sitting there when the other dentist called them the office manager continued to over talk me and would not listen to anything I had to say. She hung up on me twice. If you are loosing records/notes and being that disrespectful what are you going to do during the procedure that I will be paying you to preform on my mouth. When a tooth recently cracked, and I wanted to get a crown on it, I needed to have an impacted wisdom tooth removed so the crown could sit properly. Not surprisingly, my dental anxiety showed up immediately and in full force the moment I found out I was going to have to have not one, but three wisdom teeth removed. And this was after having a preventative root canal performed on the tooth that needed a crown. So a root canal, then the removal of three wisdom teeth, and then crown - proof that all bad things come in threes! Or. So. I. Thought. I went into my appointment today at 8 am and by 8:20 am the procedure had begun and by 9:30 it was finished. The person who recommended Dr. Doriot to me had all four of his wisdom teeth removed by him as well and said he never felt any pain during the recovery period. I thought this was perhaps a small exaggeration, after all, how can they rip teeth out of your head and have it be painless...especially after the drugs wear off. But, surprisingly, this was exactly my experience as well. I am writing this review about 12 hours after the procedure and I feel such indescribable relief due to having the procedure completed and being in no pain at any point in the process. The cherry on top of this perfect dental experience? Dr. Doriot called me on my cell phone a few minutes ago to ask me how I was feeling and to answer any questions I had about future dental care (of which I had many). I thanked him for the kind gesture and he said that he "can't sleep until he knows his patients are doing well." It is so readily apparent how much Dr. Doriot cares about both his patients and the quality of his work. In a world shifting to tele-health and requiring that doctors track their time in the way that lawyers handle their billable hours, Dr. Doriot is a refreshing throwback to a bygone age when the primary concern of medical practitioners was more about the patient experience rather than the vice grip placed on them by complying with the never-ending requirements placed on them by most insurance companies today. TL;DR: Had three wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Doriot 12 hours ago. I am a big baby, at no point was in any pain at all (fingers crossed) and Dr. Doriot called me personally to check in and answer any and all questions I have. I've seen Dr.  Bayoumy as a patient a few times now and he's been phenomenal. So when my son needed a specialist to check his wisdom teeth I didn't even hesitate at requesting a referral for Dr. B for him as well.  Unfortunately, with my own appointments and now my son's, the office staff has dropped the ball too many times. Focusing only on the current issue with my son; not only did his dentist have to send the referral twice to even get them to schedule the appointment in the first place, the day after confirming his appointment (almost a month after making the appt) I received a follow up confirmation text for a completely different appointment time. When I called to ask why I was getting a confirmation text for a different time, I was told "I don't know, do you want the new appointment, or no?" completely dismissing my inquiry as to why nobody called me to request or confirm the reschedule. As to not further delay him getting checked, I agreed.  Less than 24 hours later, at 7:30am the day of the appointment, I received a text asking if I had a copy of the referral. I explained that I did not, because it was sent directly before they would even let me schedule the appointment in the first place. I was then told they didn't have it and would "try to get it" before his appointment that I've now had to take a whole day off of work for. I'd had this happen at my original appointment which delayed my appointment by almost a week so I told them to cancel the appointment.  I've been a medical receptionist for 3 years. This is not only inconsiderate, but honestly just flat out poor patient care. Again, Dr. Bayoumy is amazing, which is why I've tolerated the consistent incompetence by office staff in regards to insurance, scheduling, and communication, but I'm afraid we will be seeking care elsewhere.  I'm sure losing one or two patients won't hurt you guys (not my intention), but as previously stated, as someone who works in healthcare, it's careless and just disappointing.

Like most people, the dentist has always invoked absolute fear and anxiety. I have been very self conscious about my teeth and everyone in this location was not only very kind, but gave me a lot of hope for the future. I couldn't thank them enough for helping me when I really needed it. The scheduling seems to be handled by a central office that may not always be in sync with the individual locations, but the staff here really did go above and beyond. I can't thank them enough.

To begin, I'd like to highlight the dental assistant, Melecia, who completed my comprehensive imaging and blood pressure and made a wonderful first impression with her warm, patient, and attentive approach. She also made genuine conversation, which helped personalize my experience and put me at ease. Unfortunately, there was confusion regarding the purpose of my appointment. I had scheduled what I believed to be a cleaning with the hygienist, but the visit turned out to be an establishing appointment only. This was not clearly explained beforehand or during the visit. I later learned that a full assessment is required prior to scheduling a cleaning, which I understand; however, this could have been communicated more effectively. Had I known, I would have attempted to schedule both appointments on the same day, but that was not presented as an option. The lack of clarity left me feeling uneasy, created a feeling of mistrust and uncertainty about the office's priorities--I questioned whether quantity was prioritized over quality. When I expressed my frustration, I felt my concerns were not fully acknowledged. The interactions with the providers created discomfort, and my concerns appeared to be passed along to other providers (Dentist to Hygienist) rather than addressed directly, which ultimately led me to request my imaging and recommendations to continue care elsewhere. Once a negative interaction occurs, timely acknowledgment and follow-up can make a significant difference in restoring patient comfort. While I have decided to seek care at another office, I hope this feedback helps improve communication for future patients. I do want to give credit where it's due -- Melecia was exceptional, and I also appreciate the office manager, Tami T., who took the time to speak with me afterward to understand my experience and potentially resolve the situation. I filled out some forms in the waiting room. I got called into the exam room by the hygienist just a minute or two after I was done with the forms. The cleaning was very thorough. After the cleaning and digital x-rays, the dentist did his exam. He was friendly but firm with the instructions to floss daily, as usual. A new patient exam with x-rays and a cleaning came out to be under $224. Subsequent cleanings are $129. Insurance is accepted too.

I had to have a broken tooth extracted in March of 2023 which my general dentist could not handle,…read moreso the dentist referred me to an oral surgeon (Empire Oral Surgery). The appointment required well over a month, and I asked if the healthcare staff wore masks while performing the procedure and got an equivocal assurance that they did. When I arrived for the procedure I found that all the staff at the practice were not wearing masks of any kind, and when I asked if the attending surgeon would be wearing a mask I was told that he would not (you can read my May 18th review of Empire Oral Surgery if you want the details). I know that there is no longer any law requiring that healthcare workers wear masks and that politicians have declared that the COVID pandemic is over, but the pandemic is *not* over and the law often is wrong. I had to beat a retreat and then search for a surgeon who would observe basic biosafety protocols. I called my general dentist and asked for any other oral surgeons he might recommend and came away with a list of four. To their credit the first two offices were honest and said that they would not wear masks (one "No" and a second "Hell no") but the third, Dr. Gelder's office, said that they'd "take it under advisement" and get back to me. They called me back an hour later and said they'd wear masks for the procedure. I offered to furnish the N95 masks (sealed and factory stamped) but they said they had them on hand. The only problem was that they'd have to schedule the appointment two months out. I accepted and babied the broken tooth for the next couple of months. Once the appointment came I have to say the experience was completely different than Empire Oral Surgery. I was greeted by a nurse wearing an N95 mask, taken to a well-ventilated surgery suite, and was worked on by Dr. Gelder who also made a point of wearing an N95 mask while entering, administering anesthesia, performing the procedure, and suturing up/telling me how to handle aftercare. This was not a simple extraction: it involved a tooth that had vertically sheared and broken below the gum line, and it required a studied hand to handle it (believe me, in the five months I had to wait for this procedure I had plenty of time to read about it on the internet). Dr. Gelder and his nurse were extremely good at their work. If you want a very very good surgeon -- Dr. Gelder (and his nurse) are the people to go to. If you want someone who will respect your concerns about COVID -- Dr. Gelder (and his nurse) are the people to go to.
