Midwest Mountaineering can set you up in wool with a "hiking Patagonia" look, but only Sun and Slope can get you the same fabrics, ready to wear in the streets of Paris. If you're lucky enough to visit often, you might even be able to build yourself an "I get cold easily" date-night outfit or two off the clearance racks (they're generous about leaving items there long enough to find a good home at a more affordable price--$40-$100 instead of $80-$300). I highly recommend this store to anyone in the market for fashionable performance wear -- there's nowhere else quite like it in the area that I'm aware of.

They are very thorough in looking through your items, and do not take things with stains, etc-which is great for the buyers! My first visit I found a fabulous pair of Rock and Republic skinnies and a Vince blouse amongst all the great stuff while my items were being scoped out. They send the checks out of state to me at my permanent residence, and when I misplaced two, I called and they actually were kind enough to go through, figure out which ones had not been cashed, and send out some more! That is amazing service. My things all sold for decent money, and as a buyer and consignor I would say its a great deal for everyone involved. :)

She was so intrusive she stayed between me and my daughter! I finally stopped shopping and sat on a bench to try to calm her down, waiting while my daughter finished trying on her clothes. She kept rushing into the dressing room, obviously she was accusing us of shoplifting. I was so disappointed because my daughter was visiting from another state and it highly upset her (for hours). It was dispicable behavior for such a seemingly nice location. Get cameras if you need them, or sell the business if you are that anxious; but please don't behave in this completely unhinged aggressive way toward people who simply don't look like you. Maybe due to cut or brand, so I just went with it. Tried the jacket on and took a look in the mirror - pretty good fit and quality. When the salesman asked if I'd try on the pants, however, I let him know I was more curious about the jacket fit and was just looking for the moment. Never saw him again - he straight abandoned, disappeared and never returned for the jacket or to help look for other styles. I suspect he didn't expect a sale and utterly left without a word. Rude and snooty aren't descriptions I'd normally use in a nice place like Plymouth but the treatment stank of elitism. Great quality and products, not impressed with some of the staff so far.
