I noticed there wasn't a page for this company so I decided to make one in hopes that maybe other people can share their experiences? To my understanding they have been around since 1998 so that's good at least.
TLDR: horrible horrible communication unless you are persistent with emails and follow up with phone call(s) through the whole process, and ask questions (they won't volunteer, not out of omitting it, but I guess just out of just forgetting?) And some mild unprofessional behavior and processes.
I managed to get a viewing with a unit owned by this company and had no issues with the viewing process other than the agent didn't show me around; I had to wander the unit (even though it was small) on my own and the agent didn't know what the current tenants were like, or know anything about the bill rates in the building. I received a piece of paper detailing how to apply.
I'm an international student here on VISA so naturally I had many questions regarding applying without an SSN, but none of my emails were returned, and phone calls rang through. I almost gave up until my third phone call someone picked up. I've been working with this person ever since which I am thankful for - her name is Madeline - and I managed to get an email chain with her going which was successful but required many follow up emails and phone calls saying, "hey I emailed you". I was thanked for my persistency but I wish it wasn't necessary.
Fast forward, I signed the lease but there were mistakes that I had to edit after asking about them. I went to turn in my move in-fee and first month rent but it took 3 days to deposit after what looked like a new intern received my deposits and wasn't sure what to do with them. Hmmm ok. I emailed asking when they would be deposited after being concerned about the safety of the money I listed on the checks, and it was promised later that day they would be deposited. I wonder what would have happened if I didn't follow up?
Later on I received an email saying that I would hear back about how to pick up the keys. I figured then this would be a smooth process and I'd hear about how to move in - through the front or back - and how to transfer the bills to my name. No word for about 4 or 5 days and at this point it was June 29 and I had 2 days before I had to move in, and still no keys or information! Emails went unanswered in those days so I called again. I was promised information that afternoon regarding pick up and thankfully I did receive it but I was instructed to pick keys up from someone's home address rather than the office -- sketchy? And still no info on how to move in or transfer the bills. I haven't picked up the keys yet so hopefully it goes well and I am safe in picking it up from the maintenance person's house.

That being said, the unit is beautiful and quirky and well maintained to my understanding. I rented a 1 bedroom in Albany Park for $975/mo, stainless steel appliances, stone bathroom, hwf throughout except carpet in bedroom, porch and an accent exposed brick wall, cats and dogs allowed. read more
