Meet the Business Owner: Ken S.
Ken has participated in the family business for the past 45 years. He followed in his father's footsteps by serving as the president of ARA from 1989-1990. In an effort to promote environmentally sound practices in the recycling industry, Ken advocated for responsible removal of mercury switches from vehicles. Ken and his daughter, Sarah Schram-Pilcher, created an instructional video entitled, "The 48 Second Solution," to demonstrate the proper handling of mercury switch removal as part of the National Vehicle Mercury Switch Recovery Program (NVMSRP). In addition to advocating with her father for environmentally safe practices for the recycling industry, Sarah is a fourth generation family employee working as the Human Resources Manager for Schram Auto Parts.
