When we first got our black horse he was very under weight and horse lovers haven had helped us get him back to a great weight. The owner very clearly cares about our horses. She will listen to you and help to get your horses the best care they need. She has this place purely for the joy and passion of horses. I love that they have several turn outs and an indoor arena, most places only have an outdoor. Their head trainer Bethany has 100% transformed my horses under saddle, and transformed our riding making riding an awesome experience for us all. Thanks horse lovers haven!

This is necessary because there are around something like 80 horses here. Following the rules ensures the barn stays safe and clean. I appreciate this very much. There are different ages and riding styles all over here at the barn. I love being around such a diverse clientele and learning more and more about horses. We both enjoyed the time with the horses and exceptional instruction. As an adult, I was worried about looking foolish or paying for what would just end up as a pleasure ride. I wanted to really learn how to ride. Under the excellent instruction of several instructors, my husband and I really found joy in new assignments, and were challenged by the instructors to master techniques in "equitation". Within his first year, the owner of the program approached my husband saying he was ready to compete in shows if he desired. It is such a different experience having a hobby to grow and work on new achievements in. We absolutely loved being able to ride together and it was a highlight in our week. About a year and half ago our 4-year-old horse-crazy daughter wanted to do riding lessons and so I looked up Oak Haven again. She is very strong-willed and often acted out. Within a few months of starting lessons with Leslee, she has experienced a total turn around in her behavior. She is sweet, helpful and obedient and constantly talks about her time with the horses. She has bonded with a few of her favorite horses (as have I) and works hard to "earn" her lessons. Additionally, she has grown in her riding skills and has developed great confidence in herself and her abilities. It is wonderful being able to see her shine with something she loves so much. Leslee is her instructor now and Leslee takes great care to make sure that my daughter is safe, confident and always challenging her to try just a little harder to achieve her goals. I highly recommend Oak Haven to anyone.

I spent almost a full 3 years taking riding lessons from multiple different instructors at Sage Creek. The atmosphere at the facility is toxic. The owner and other riders snap at each other, screaming and swearing at each other. This is not a family friendly environment. From the start of my time, I told my first instructor Jacob that I wanted to continue practicing my English riding and horsemanship. It took him 4 lessons before he was able to give me an English lesson. After me asking multiple times if he was able to put me on an English saddle. Jacob and other coaches I worked with consistently pressured me to do competitions when I had no interest and made that clear. All instructors, including the owner, Donnette, are unreliable. I drove from an hour away, and it was not uncommon for me to arrive to find out my instructor scheduled two lessons at once, if not finding out the whole barn was out of town for a show and the staff simply weren't there. Donnette, specifically would consistently forget about lessons. I would have to confirm with text to make sure she'd be there just to have her still schedule another student on my time. Donnette has a history of emotional outbursts, discussion and communication are impossible with Donnette, if you expect to have a working relationship with your riding instructor she is not for you. Donnette expects sub-ordinance and no questions. Donnette, Dana, and Rebecca all contribute to the toxic environment at the barn by complaining about their clients loudly. I knew the barn had a problem with gossip and bullying but never imagined it could be so childish. One day I arrived at the barn and was told I was double booked. I was irritated but started to prepare for the lesson anyways. As I put in my ear peice radio, I heard Donnette around the corner with her previous client on her own radio. She was belittling me, thinking I couldn't hear her, " ...she looked like she was going to cry!" I told her I was leaving after I heard her and she yelled at me that I'm banned from her property and didn't stop yelled at me until I walked away. This barn is a joke. I refuse to stoke the owners ego anymore, and do not know why I put up with it for so long, such a waste of money. If anything this barn is 100% NOT child friendly.

Of course, the inconvenience this posed to both my daughter and myself was never considered. However, when our family suffered a sudden death, and my daughter needed a same-day cancelation, this organization hit her account with a $75 charge. Policy or not, this is bad business practice and goes against everything this company claims to stand for. We expected understanding. We expected support. Instead, it was all about the money they felt they were out. This also happened to be the time my daughter let them know she would be discontinuing therapy at Courage Reins because she felt they were not adequately paying attention to or addressing her mental health needs. While we were told repeatedly this charge would be refunded, it was not, and both our calls and e-mails were ignored. Never mind the likely thousands of dollars they billed our insurance, they felt entitled to an additional $75 as a punitive measure when our family suffered a loss we could not have anticipated. Beware. They pretend to care about the mental health of their clients, but it's really all about their bottom line.

She texted us a couple of days before the event to confirm plans. She was on time, amazing with the kiddos, knew her Star Wars facts and stayed in character the entire time. I asked if there was anything else I could do because I had to work from home and I depended on those 3 hours to get work done. NO. My experience with the school was entirely unprofessional and disappointing. There was ABSOLUTELY clear favoritism shown to some students versus others when I would drop off and pick up, which was very frustrating to see. A side note: Children often act out when they feel uncomfortable or unsafe in a situation. Obviously I wasn't there during the class, but I think that is something to think about when choosing a preschool for your own child.

During the summer and especially during the fall Conrad Ranch is beautiful. We had our wedding and wedding reception at Conrad Ranch this past September 2011. We had an outdoor ceremony under a large grove of trees on the property next to a small pond. The fall colors on the surrounding hillsides were out in almost full force and it was gorgeous. The evening was very pleasant with great weather, not too cold and not too hot, and as the darkness set in we moved inside for our reception. Darryl and Linda Conrad operate Conrad Ranch along with help from their daughters, one who does catering and another who does flowers and decorations, and additional help from other family members. We choose a small buffet for our wedding reception for sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit, and of course plenty of desserts! I'm pleased to report that everything was delicious and we were very happy with the catering services. The floral arrangements we paid for including my wife's boutique were also beautiful, especially her boutique. Again the Conrad's did a great job. One of the reasons we choose Conrad Ranch for our wedding is because we loved the outdoor setting. It was beautiful like I said. We also liked it because it was a little off the beaten path. Unlike some other venues and event centers Conrad Ranch only has some event at a time. It is private, personal and intimate -- tucked away in the Wasatch Mountains. It is worth mentioning that given the distance and the dark canyon some older people may be deterred from coming to your event. Some stayed away because of that but others carpooled and made it perfectly fine. It's not far away by any means but the canyon is dark at night and there is also wildlife, so be careful driving the canyon. When it came to price Conrad Ranch initially seemed like a terrific value, the price was almost half of what we had found at other venus in Utah County and they provided a lot more at no additional charge. However, when it came down to the nitty gritty details the charges started adding up. They charged $100 for us to have a photographer, $100 for the band, $100 for the photo booth, and other fees that just seemed extraneous. When it was all said and done I feel like we still got more for our money than if we had booked at one of the other veneus we looked at, but I wish Conrad Ranch had been a little more upfront about all the fees. They never provided any kind of price list specifying any of the additional fees that would be charged. So if you are interested in booking with Conrad Ranch just make sure to ask more questions then we did so you won't be surprised. Overall we had a wonderful experience at Conrad Ranch and they took great care of us and our guests. We couldn't have asked for a better venue and a better experience for our wedding.
