They even knew my pets names the first day. We hired Matt to paint the entire inside and outside of our house, the outside of our shed and shop, and pressure wash our driveway and patio. Matt bid the high-end Benjamin Moore outdoor paint by default, which was competitively priced with the lower end paint bids by others. The other unique item was Matt's work came with a 5-year workmanship warranty. If I had questions or thought something needed to be touched-up, Matt answered questions or touched up work no questions asked. He wanted to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. One thing that pleasantly surprised me was when added to the scope of work. I sent photos, he gave a bid, and we agreed to the price. When he came to the house, Matt said he could do the work less and reduced his bid even though we already agreed to the higher amount. Matt's team are good painters and it's clear he takes pride in the quality of his work. I strongly recommend him and would hire him again. The only heads-up I would give (not a negative, just a heads up) is if you want any texturing work done, make sure to communicate your expectations with Matt. Matt was clear with us regarding his team's texturing limitations, which I appreciated. Matt did a good job sanding and texturing to remove an obvious line across the middle of the room, this isn't part of his normal scope that was included in our bid.

I also had a hiccup with a door that wouldn't close properly after painting. (It was probably a very tight fit before painting). This door also needed some off-site work to shave down the top, so it would close correctly. The team came back on a Saturday morning to bring me the restored closet doors. These little pain points come up with lots projects. You need a company that will take care of things when everything doesn't go perfectly. ESP will make sure everything is taken care off.

I hired Eric's company to do some very tricky staining work on a new triple set of double hung…read morewindows from Sashwright. These were period accurate wood reproductions, unfinished on the interior and already installed into their frames. The sash cords where bright white, so detail and care were paramount. Mistakes at this phase had the potential to ruin a lot of hard work and so I wanted someone with a meticulous attention to detail. Eric's company is Sashwright's partner painter, so I went with them. Eric came by and assessed the situation, and we agreed on a quoted price. A short while later we reached the top of his queue and his crew came by and set up. They applied the appropriate protections for the area and we did the test match stains. Unfortunately, I think I messed this part up and green lit a stain combo that I later felt was too dark. During that discovery phase Eric & his crew were willing to discuss possible course correction options. Ultimately, after weighing the options I decided to stay the course rather than risk a lower quality result with rework. The final results are growing on me, and the quality and precision of their work really stands out. I'm frankly impressed with how well they look, knowing that they were stained and sealed in-situ! Our deck got wrecked after we had our windows replaced and so we joined the masses in needing a…read morepainter to come out during prime summer season. I was only able to get a reply from Eric and another company. I was surprised to see how high the quotes were, as I was expecting for things to cost half as much. Luckily, Eric was kind enough to explain the cost and his quote was $100 less than the other company, who didn't respond to me despite my contacting them several times. Communication with Eric was great, he was responsive and would return phone calls/emails the same day. They were busy but they were able to paint our deck before the weather got really bad. His crew spent the day meticulously painting our deck, they detached the railing instead of trying to paint around it (hence the extra cost) and did a double coat of paint. It rained later that day/next day so Eric told us to contact him if touch ups were needed, and they came out first thing in the morning the next business day. They use Benjamin Moore paints and it was easy to look up the colors online. The paint still looks like new several months later. I'm keeping him in my contacts for any future paint jobs!

The owner stated that only one painter, among the 10 or so that he employed, was trained to spray the exterior of our three-story house, and this painter was leaving the company. But rather than postpone our project while another painter was trained to, uh, paint, Final Touch simply canceled. Now we have to start all over again finding a reputable painting contractor who can fit us in during the busiest season of the year. What a frustrating waste of time.
