The tenants above us must have had a herd of cattle, there was so much stomping and dragging of furniture that after several hours we called management. It stopped for about 20 minutes after management called their room. Tenants totally denied being loud and said it must have been someone else. After spending close to a $1,000 for our stay, we are very disappointed and we will go elsewhere. Agate Beach Motel will be our go to.

We were only there one night, but I have to tell you, it was a really nice hotel experience! I reserved the Family (fireplace) suite. The hotel has two floors and this was on floor 2. We had a nice roomy balcony with two chairs for sitting in while soaking in the beauty. The room itself was really large, with a king bed in the main and a queen, I believe, in a separate room. TVs in the main room and the bedroom. The fireplace was gas, gave off nice heat at night as it got chilly outside, and added to the ambiance. This hotel has breakfast! This was also a pleasant experience. They had the usual cereals and yogurts, but also had big waffles and biscuits and gravy! The food was good! We brought a bottle of wine ourselves, but I did notice they sell wine and beer in the lobby, which is nice, right? I definitely would (and will) stay there again the next time we are in the area. I forgot to take pics of the room itself. Sorry about that. You can check out their hotel website to see it. The next time I stay there I will fix this! One of the chipboard doors we could not open at all. Would we stay here again, I don't know. It was easy to check in, easy to communicate with when you had questions.

The staff has consistently been warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. Dining is also a highlight, with everything from quick, casual bites at Provisions to an outstanding dinner at The Attic. We've been impressed by both the variety and quality every time we visit. There is also an incredible amount to do. Our family loves searching for the locally blown glass floats hidden around the property, listening to live music, riding the on-site bike trails, borrowing bikes to explore the grounds, golfing, hiking, and relaxing in the warm and welcoming pool and spa area. Salishan is also pet-friendly, which makes it an especially great destination for families traveling with their dogs. One of our favorite things about Salishan is its location. There are beautiful trails right on the property, and you're perfectly situated for exploring the Oregon Coast, including some spectacular nearby hikes, beaches, forests, and waterfalls. What really sets Salishan apart, though, is the atmosphere. It doesn't feel like just another hotel or resort--it feels like a place you actually look forward to coming back to. There is something incredibly peaceful about being here, and every visit seems to leave us wishing we had booked another night. My room had an impressive view of the entire Bay, the historic Yaquina Bay Bridge, & the sailboats tied at the Embarcadero Yacht Club's Marina. Noisy room heater non-stop. Couple in the next room was engaged in loud screaming and swearing (mostly the guy). I was on edge waiting for something worse. Lauren was kind and sympathetic with an apology, but I really believe a discount should have been give (I stayed 2 nights), maybe even with a night's credit. Lauren was great with food recomentations however. Overall the property and room were shabby and in need of maintenance and general upkeep. Not the best. I won't stay again.

I may consider calling you depending on the outcome of…read morethe State Public Health inspector's determination if the uneven pool deck constitutes a trip hazard, especially to people wearing footwear appropriate for a spa area. I believe the rules for trip hazards are more strenuous in spa areas. Street shoes are more rounded in the front, my flip flops have a rigid one half inch sole that caught on the tile edge when I put my foot down right behind a raised tile. I fell on our first full day at this resort. I had a relaxing soak in the hot tub before I tripped and broke my wrist. I was so looking forward to many hot tub visits this trip because I had just completed all the treatments for breast cancer: chemo, radiation and surgery. My hope for a positive trip was ruined by what I believe was negligence on the part of the resort. I am a 75 year old widow that lives along in my house. I have had more expenses because of my broken dominate wrist. I have had to hire more help with my house and yard. I fear this may be a life changing injury for me. It will be interesting to hear what the safety inspection shows.
