Instead, I encountered a greeting card featuring an image of a noose with the message, "Congrats on tying the knot." As an African American woman and a descendant of people who were enslaved, lynched, terrorized, tormented, and dehumanized, I cannot separate the image of a noose from that history. I find absolutely no humor in this image, only hurt and sadness. I understand that humor is subjective and that the card may have been intended as dark or provocative humor. But intent does not erase impact. For me, seeing a noose presented as a joke made me feel uncomfortable, hurt, and unsafe in the store. It was especially upsetting because I was there with my family and had expected the experience to be welcoming. What makes this particularly disappointing is that Page & Post publicly describes itself as committed to "sustainability and social responsibility," "deeply invested in our community and our people," and "inclusivity and sustainability." I emailed the ownership and leadership of Page and Post to explain my experience and ask them to consider whether this card, and the decision to sell and display it, was consistent with those stated values. I have received no response to my email. I did notice that the card has since been removed from Page & Post's online card catalog. I appreciate that the product is no longer being presented on the website, but I am not satisfied that simply removing the card addresses the concern I raised. There has been no acknowledgment of the hurt caused, no response to my questions, and no indication that the underlying concern has been meaningfully considered. I am sharing this review because I believe businesses should be accountable not only for the products they sell, but also for how those products affect the people and communities they serve. I hope Page & Post will take this opportunity to seriously examine whether the products it chooses to sell reflect the inclusivity, social responsibility, and community-minded values it publicly claims. I am not asking Page & Post to agree with me about humor. I am asking the business to recognize that a noose is not a neutral image for everyone and that for some of us, it represents a very painful history that should not be reduced to a wedding joke. - Samantha Y. I honestly don't even know where to begin... it was that incredible of an experience…read more I live in California, and today I went to a pen show with two of my wife's fountain pens that needed repair. There were a few places offering repairs, but even after waiting all day, we couldn't get our turn. I've owned many fountain pens, but I didn't have a single Pelikan. I've always been curious about them and wanted to buy one--however, one of the two Pelikans I had gifted my wife had a nib issue, so I hesitated. Because of that, I brought that Pelikan along with another broken Sailor fountain pen to the show. While I was still debating whether I should buy my first Pelikan, I met this gentleman. And truly... he has hands of gold. In about five minutes, he repaired both my wife's Sailor and her Pelikan like it was nothing. The moment I saw the results, I immediately purchased my very first Pelikan right there on the spot. What impressed me even more was how thoroughly he inspected the nib and made sure everything was perfect. His deep knowledge, genuine love for fountain pens, incredible skill, and--most importantly--his humility and kindness made this experience unforgettable. Because of him, I was able to leave the pen show with a truly happy memory. To anyone living in South Carolina: you are extremely lucky to have someone like this there. Even though I'm based in California, I will definitely purchase pens through him next time. Highly, highly recommended--and thank you again for today. Truly.

Now can't recall caught my attention and a friend also wanted to go into the store. It reminds me of those neat boutiques in the resort/beach towns. There are many customized items and if you were going to a baby shower or bridal shower, this could very well be where you may want to go! They have lots of bath fizz soaps, lotions, bath bubbles, those quaint sayings on things . . . things that I don't like in my house because I'm bad enough about getting rid of stuff, so I try to avoid buying more things to accumulate. It was quite large and we were roaming around in it and I'm really quite surprised no one came up to ask if we needed any help. Anyway, it was neat to see all the items, there were post-Easter materials there but as graduation and summer beach are arriving soon, I'm sure you can find something needed, or at least wanted. I must enjoy going through these stores more when I'm completely chilled and relaxed (or on vacation) so didn't see anything of interests but it was neat!
