I just left Swoozie's not ten minutes ago, and I am fuming! Avoid this place like the plague because they don't know the FIRST thing about customer service!
I walked in and no one said a word. No hello, no welcome, no nothing! I went to look at the stationery, where one of the sales staff was helping a woman. I waited patiently for her to finish with the woman, during which she walked by me twice to get something for the woman. When the woman had what she wanted, the staff member WALKED AROUND ME again to go back and sit down at her little desk! Maybe they simply hate men, but I guess it never occurred to them that I might be trying to buy something for my daughter.
Anyway, I went up to the counter where the cashier was standing with the phone to her ear. She wasn't saying anything, just standing there. When I caught her eye, she turned and walked behind the wall next to the register. No "one moment please," no "I'll be with you in a moment," and not even a single finger held up to indicate she would get to me as soon as she could. I turned and saw one more staff member working on a display. I walked up to her while she was calling across the store to one of the other staff members. When she was done yelling, she turned and continued working on the display without so much as a glance at me.
At that point I left. No "have a nice day," no "thank you for coming in," and no "come again soon" was forthcoming.
I don't know if Swoozie's just hates men or if this is typical bad service they give to everyone. I was on lunch break from my office so I was dressed nicely - no torn jeans or ratty t-shirts, not that that should make a difference - but they ignored me nonetheless. I guess the owner of Swoozie's is independently wealthy if they can afford to be so rude and ignore the customers who come in. I will never go back into that store again, and I will tell every last person I know to avoid them as well.
Oh and by the way Swoozie's, INSIDE OUT AT HOME is right up Woodruff Road at the intersection of Hwy 14 and they actually value their customers and help them! What a novel concept - you should look into it. read more
