Mrs. Loretta needs to work on her customer service skills she was extremely rude and disrespectful (and today is my birthday) and she made me cry by embarrassing me in front of the other customers. All I asked for is for her to check the balance on my gift card apparently I didn't go thru the line correctly there was one customer waiting at the time with product to purchase and I assumed they could use a self checkout since I can't use that to check balance on a gift card I went to a register by the time I got to Loretta she told me with an attitude I needed to wait in line and at that point there were multiple people in line waiting. Next time I'll go to another location since she could have been nicer. read more

Walking into this huge store for the first time... very huge but very scarce on decorations for Halloween! It's only October 1!! The nice cashier told me that they put it out in August and that's what is left!! Well I see Xmas decorations are out but can I just get thru one holiday first? read more

Staff is always super nice and helpful. Usually have what I want & if not, staff is willing to help me order it online and/or check about getting it in their store (or give me ideas for where else to check). Michaels has always been my go to place for crafting. I'm disappointed they no longer take competitor coupons! They continue to always have what I need with some decent clearance. The store was very well organized and the employees were polite and friendly. FYI they are requiring you enter with a mask on but not really enforcing the 6 feet rule. read more

left the store around 1:30 pm on 3/2/23. I waited in line and didn't use the self checkout because I didn't know how to do a gift card on that line . I waited until I was acknowledged and I told the end registrar what I was trying to do so the cashier that was talking to the store at the time to come on down . As I came to sit my items down , I sat them down near the shipping bags . The cashier responded with no you can place them here SIR or whatever as if she didn't know how to identify me. I was livid because at the end of the day I'm ( NOT) a whatever. Also there is no way anyone can confuse me with what gender I am. THIS IS & WAS DISCRIMINATION ‼ I asked to speak to the manager at the time and asked was she the store manage that person name was Sue, and she was off for today . She asked me to come back with her, which was the office I told her ( NEVER ) in my 40 something years on this planet have I encountered such IGNORANCE ‼ She proceeded to say " I don't think she meant any harm by it . ( Are you KIDDING ME( . Customer be mindful of where you shop this type of tomfoolery should not be allowed Or excepted. I'm looking into seeing if an attorney will accept this case . People are judgemental/ disrespectful/ discriminatory towards ANYONE should NOT be allowed to work at this establishment and I'm not going to allow this cashier to get away with this . BEWARE ‼‼ I have also reached out to corporate and was told someone would call me within 24HRS it never happened. I emailed the CEO and my email was ignored. The lines are typically short and fast-moving, and the cashiers are always very friendly and helpful. Finally, coupons and sales are frequent and a huge money saver. It is always a good idea to check the Michaels app for additional coupons. I went specifically for wall frames and there were two employees behind the counter who did not acknowledge me when I walked up and gave me the impression that customer service is not their forte. Another employee, Dawn, came behind the counter and asked if she could help me. She was very good at helping me select two frames for the prints. Luckily, the frames were on sale, too! I would have given fewer stars, but Dawn made up for the difference. I bought two frames at a good price and was very satisfied with the service received from Dawn. read more

A big part of my reason for 2 stars is the state of the restroom at this Michaels store. I was there on a Tuesday morning and had to make a run to the restroom. It was utterly filthy. Of three stalls, one was out of order and one looked like a bomb had gone off in the toilet (waste everywhere, the human kind) leaving one usable stall and even that one was not flushed. No hooks for hanging my purse (c'mon, Michaels, 99% of the people who shop with you carry a purse, no exaggeration...) The hand dryer blew cold air. I left feeling dirty. As for the store, it was bright with wide aisles (rare for Michaels) and seemed to be pretty well stocked. But that restroom - still shudder to think of it. read more

I had a painting which was done for me by a friend of mine and I wanted to get it framed. I knew Michaels had a framing shop so I took it over to get some information. The woman who assisted me suggested that I purchase a ready-made frame which was more cost-efficient than a custom framing. I selected a frame and left my painting in the caring hands of the staff. I can honestly say I felt very at ease and when I picked up my painting today I was blown away at the results. Matt was extremely informative and helpful, and he was open to my suggestion of trimming the frame a fraction of an inch when we came to a bypass in the form of a stubborn bottom end of the painting. With that minor adjustment, it fit like a glove and was ready to hang! The store is well-stocked and organized and everything is easy to find. I would undoubtedly choose Michaels again for any of my framing needs. Thanks Michales and thanks Matt! This have nothing to do with COVID-19. I have been shopping with Michaels for years and this is a continuous problem, you can not find anyone to help you and when you do they act as if they do not want to. I went in to buy candle wax and as usual there was none on the shelf , when I asked an associate they only looked on the shelf not the system and said they were out. I went home placed an online order which detected the wax in the store and i was able to pick it up in store later. My online order made the associates and the manager find product which was already a day in store. This is not the first time it has happened here. read more

An afternoon well spent!!! This store is well organized store. You will find arts, crafts, decorating materials, collage frames and tea lights, etc. My husband picks up lot of stationary for his sketches and he is never disappointed. They have awesome knitting collections. The staff is very helpful. Incase you don't find something, the staff will direct you to other location which has stock. They have great deals going on all the time. I have never purchased anything full priced, isn't that cool. read more

EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE! I had ordered some frames from Michaels online because this store didn't carry the color I wanted. When the six frames arrived, two were broken. I didn't have time to return them and get replacements, so I called this store to see if they might be willing to swap out the glass in two undamaged frames for my broken glass. The salesperson on the phone, Abigail, agreed immediately that she would be happy to do that for me. When I got to the store, Abigail didn't just give me the two pieces of glass, she took the sealed packages with the two damaged frames to the back room, disposed of the broken pieces, cleaned up the frames, and loaded the replacement glass into them. I am a frequent shopper at this Michael's location. It is about impossible to find someone to help you that isn't working the registers. The lines are typically long, but move pretty quickly. But y'all the amount of times I've had to stand in line to ask an employee to check in the back for an item is ridiculous. The shelves are only ever 1/3 stocked in the fine art section. Normally I wouldn't want to bother them to ask if they had an item, but ever since I've started asking there is almost always product in the back. I've never dealt with a rude employee there, but I do feel for them because they always seem to be understaffed. The coupons and rewards are a great perk! The key is to check the weekly ad on the app for sales. Canvases go 40-60% off (a great time to stock up). This store is in such a convenient spot (who wants to go all the way to Hobby Lobby down woodruff??), I just wish they could fix the staffing problems (which was an issue way before covid) and that they could keep items in stock/out on the shelves! read more

Went to this store a few weeks prior to Christmas. Customer services went WAY below what I was expecting. I was purchasing a crystal hanging ornament that was on its own turning display with the price posted on top of the display ($5.99). Get to the register to find the item ringing up for more than double the displayed amount. Cashier called the manager to verify. THE MANAGER held the item in her hand and blatantly told me that it was not a "hanging ornament" I then showed her the loop on the item that is hangs by. She then stated it was not an ornament. I then pointed out the tag on the item that plainly said HANGING ORNAMENT. Instead of agreeing after seeing that she was wrong, she argued with me to the point I refused to buy the item. Highly unprofessional in all ways. 1. Never "argue" with someone who is spending their money at your store 2. Own up to it when your shown that your answer is wrong. read more
