I put my job - major trim on four trees, and two trees to remove - out for bids via yelp/projects…read moreand have been very happy with the results. I had seven responses within a day. Joe at Earthworks was the first to respond. I had four outfits visit the job site and provide quotes. Joe's quote came in right in the middle of the pack, and he could schedule me the next week. And he very much seemed to be on the same page for what I was trying to accomplish. He and his crew just departed. They showed up on time, and took the time estimated. They were very careful around my landscaping, and did a great job of the tree work. They have completely cleaned up and left my yard in great shape. My front garden now will get the light it needs, and bigger than that, I now have a year round view of the Blue Ridge from my front porch. I'm very happy with their work, and believe I received very good value for the cost. Very highly recommended.

They came less than two after looking at what we wanted done, less than a week after our area received 2"-3" of snow. They were careful making sure our house and fence were not damaged at all, removing all brush and limbs, and hauling away the large logs created by the trees. They did an excellent job cleaning up before they left, and did not leave until they made sure everything was taken care of and we were completely satisfied. Darrell and Scott with Sky Valley are good caring people, the price was affordable, and guess what? THEY SHOWED UP! I would and will definitely use Sky Valley Tree Service again! Thank you Darrel and Scott for helping us out.

I had asked that the wood chips/pulp be removed from the property as the stump was from a black walnut tree. The work was done efficiently, and all debris was removed as requested. Had Brian remove a big red oak from our yard. From the start tree removal initially went well…read morehowever half way through it was delayed due to his climber cramping up. No big problem, things happen, I understand. Two days later they resume and complete taking the tree down. However, they didn't remove the two trunks until days later. Also, the lawn was unnecessarily damaged by his backhoe carrying branches unnecessarily over large stretches of my lawn instead of utilizing the driveway nearby. They also dropped many logs onto my lawn resulting in many holes or divets that needed to be repaired by me. However, the worst part was the stump removal, or I should say lack thereof. I've included photos of what Brian repeatedly said was a sufficient removal of the stump. You be the judge. I didn't see this initially because the whole area was covered in stump grindings and assumed the stump underneath was gone. Brian is a smooth talker who will promise everything and deliver very little.

I'm already recommending Jose's to my neighbors.
