Schnucks Lindbergh is like grocery shopping in a friendly cave--tight, twisty aisles, low ceilings, and lighting that feels one step away from handing you a miner's helmet. Every turn is a game of "will my cart actually fit?" It's cozy... maybe too cozy. The employees are absolute gems--genuinely nice people who seem to know half the customers by name. That part I get. But the rest? I'm still scratching my head. Why does everyone love this place? It feels like it's been frozen in time since the 80s, right down to the layout. You keep expecting to see someone buying Tab cola or asking if they still rent VHS tapes. Don't get me wrong--the food's fine, the service is wonderful, and if you like your grocery trip with a side of nostalgia and a dash of claustrophobia, you'll be in heaven. But if you're looking for wide aisles and a modern vibe, you might want to bring a compass, a headlamp, and a good sense of humor. read more

I love this location. The staff is always super friendly. It's a smaller Schnucks, but still has everything at least that I need. It is very clean throughout the store and everything is very well labeled. She could easily find what aisle you need to go to. read more

I consider this an upscale Schnucks. You'll find a lot of things here that you don't normally find at your local neighborhood Schnucks. For example, a wine case that is locked and contains $100+ bottles of wines. The cheese selection is huge and the butcher is also amazing. So if you're having a fancy dinner party, come get your meat here. My only complaint is that the aisles seem narrower and some areas it gets very tight and congested. Staff on the floor are helpful and friendly, but the cashiers were quiet and not so friendly. I was there right at opening, so may-be she needed coffee. read more

For several years, I have been able to buy a couple Brats or Sausage links in the meat department. As someone who is single, I don't need a pack of 5 by Johnsonville, that comes frozen and you can't refreeze them after you use 2 or 3. Packaged brats are normally 4 oz links, the individual ones that I have been able to buy at Schnucks have been at 4oz of slightly more, maybe 5 oz for several years. I bought a couple links last Friday and found out when I got home and was putting them on the grill, the two links were 0.8 lbs or each link was about 6.5 oz. When I questioned the Meat Dept. Manager, I was told that they were making them in response to the supermarket ownership orders. The other Schnucks at Bellerive Plaza is now doing the same thing. So, it looks like I can either find a different place to buy Brats or buy 1 instead of two and cut it in two before I put it in the bun. I'm just glad that Schnucks doesn't package hot dogs for customers. I actually consider a 4 oz hot dog to be on the large size, can you imagine if hotdogs were 6-7 oz each. read more

Following yesterday's lunch that was catered by Panera, I needed something that I could eat on my keto diet. I stopped into Schucks on the way to the office. At just after 7am, they were still setting up and the store was just about desolate. The deli wasn't yet open, but I had a good choice from the prewrapped sliced meats and cheeses. The store is clean and well stocked, though this is a smaller footprint for a supermarket. I didn't spot anything that they don't have here. Whoever did the planogram for this store needs a different profession. I shouldn't have to walk several laps around the store to find what I need. I walked up and down the isles several times and gave up trying to find what I was looking for and just abandoned my merchandise. Why is it so difficult to stock your sports and energy drinks with the rest of your beverages like every other store? Why do I have to go on a scavenger hunt every time I come here?!?!?? One of the original Schnucks stores still left! It's had quite a lot of improvements over the years but when you're in the main part it still has that old Schnucks feel. I've been coming to this store my entire life. I grew up in this neighborhood. I almost always see someone I know here. Still one of the better Schnucks in town. I'll be back! read more

Bodega by Schnucks (5 star) HOWEVER- Very small awkward layout grocery store (3 star) with large selection of pre-prepared food, drinks & alcohol reminds me more of a bodega than a normal Schnucks. I stopped grocery shopping here because of the limited selection & this location seem to run out of items. I started stopping here on the way to work for quick grab foods, drinks &/or cash. I have also run by on the way home to grab alcohol because this location has a nice selection. They really need to change the name, emphasis & layout on this location to go with the strengths. read more

I usually visit this location after work on Saturday's for some last-minute meals. The selection here is actually really good and I am glad they are so organized. The deli section is great! Nothing is better than fast service at a deli! Props to Schnucks for doing it right. I also enjoy the selection through the produce department. I always get god deals on their fruits and veggies. I don't always have time to visit the Farmer's Market each weekend and so I am glad I come here to get some organic items as well. What I really enjoy at Schnucks in general is they they offer an entire liquor store selection of specialty items; wine, champagne, tequila, etc. This makes me happy. I guess this store really can be your "1 stop shop"! I don't usually have to wait in line at this location either. Most times I find a good lane and get taken care of immediately! Yes, this is a good thing. This location is convenient, organized, clean, and pretty awesome! I'll be back! read more

Horrible store manager at this location. I worked at schnucks for a little over 2.5 years. I worked at this location for a little over a year once I moved to St Louis. I will NOT spend anymore of my money in a schnucks again. I have never been treated so horrible for standing up for myself when I felt like I was being treated so horribly. This store manager didn't listen to what I had to say or try to help work it out. When I asked about transferring all I got was well you wouldn't get 40 hours at another location which wasn't my issue at the time as I was so severely unhappy working for this store manager. She did nothing to help me but she did do a good job in belittling me until I left in September of 2019. read more

I stopped by this Schnucks to grab some wine today for a get together. While this location can be annoying to get to during rush-hour, the wine selection is quite nice! They have a ton of choices when it comes to alcohol compared to a lot of other Schnucks of comparable size. The one thing I did notice about this one is how much smaller all the isles were...They had all the great choices but it was a bit more congested. They also were missing out on a ton of checkout lanes. They probably have half the normal number. Overall, this location seems outdated but the product and service is top-notch! read more

Good place to get a donut but it is a little bit annoying that it requires staff assistance to do so. Also, the layout of the store is a little strange. The vegetables are towards the back of the store and not arranged in a way that makes it easy to shop. Unlike other Schnuck's stores, the pharmacy is beyond the registers so you can't really have them ring up a couple of items from elsewhere in the store if you're combining errands. read more

Stopped in here for a delicious donut after lunch. The lady who helped us was very friendly so we asked her a few questions about the impressive display of bakery items. Most of their cakes come in frozen, but they have some very talented decorators who embellish them in-house. They had some cakes that had what looked like flower petals on them - everything was really beautiful. Next I moved to the sushi display to pick up some seaweed salad and california roll for Teen. The sushi chef was really nice too, and thanked me for my selection. Finally I hit the deli for some chicken strips for Teen (don't ask, the kid can eat!). The guy who helped me asked me about the logo on my shirt, and we had a little convo about how Teen likes to stock up on Polynesian sauce from Chick-Fil-A and use it on other people's chicken strips (shh!) This store had the friendliest customer service that I have experienced yet in a grocery in STL; bummer that it's inconveniently located for me. read more

A midsize supermarket that punches above its weight with some interesting products that you wouldnt find in a typical grocery. For example, new orleans ice cream (love the creole cream cheese flavor), Albanese gummy bears, australian/irish cheeses, newer apple varieties like snapdragon and ruby frost, etc. Friendly service too. I needed some soup ingredients, so this wasn't a long trip through every aisle. One cheese I couldn't find and asked a man sweeping the floor. He was so helpful. Then I got to checkout. The cashier was preoccupied with helping a clerk fix a clock that wasn't running. Hello!! Hello!! Hello!! Dang, that took a long time! No friendly faces. No "Hi." No "How you doin'?" I generally go to the Hampton Village location but stopped by this Schnucks during a visit at my mom's. It was easy to park at but I was surprised how small it was inside from the look of the building outside. The carts were in a corner that wasn't easy to navigate with a baby carrier I had a hard time getting one out and getting my baby inside for a short trip. I think this location is known for their wine and spirits selection which is large for a grocery store. However, it seems like this is the only thing with good variety in this store. I had a hard time finding organic fruits which there were surprisingly few options for a store in an affluent area that wouldn't mind the higher prices. Also something of note is their Pharmacy is completely outside the shopping area on the other side of the check outs. So I ended up having to check out with my food and go check out again at the pharmacy just to get eye drops. Seems like an unnecessary hassle. I think I'll stick to my home Schnucks unless I'm in the area again. read more

Schnucks is my go-to grocery store. This location is the closest to my work and I went the other day to get their drive by meal and it had been my first visit to this particular location. I think its small but that's Frontenac for you. However their choices are expansive especially when it comes to fresh cooked food. read more

Like many Schnucks it feels like stepping into the 1980s, this being no exception. I get this is an old location but why not modernize? Added to age/feel of the store is also the 80s/90s Muzack (piped cover songs). I also noticed in the wine section that pricing/sale pricing can seem misleading. Wine 'on-sale' is mostly bettered by Total wine prices and many times even Whole Foods pricing. When I compare Schnucks to Wegmans, Hen House, Tesco, there is a lot of room for improvement in both decor and product. On the positive,staff are friendly and helpful and the pharmacy is always efficient. read more

This is the closest Schnucks to my home so I am here often. If you require the mega-store experience, this location is not for you. The size of the store means they can't stock 20 types of one item like Des Peres, but they do have everything I need. Staff has always been friendly and the pharmacy staff are unbelievably kind and great at their jobs. I'm always able to get in and out of the store quickly. Exiting the lot is dicey during rush hour, but again, that's what comes with a smaller store located at a busy intersection. It's worth it to have a store so conveniently close that also allows me to avoid Manchester Road. read more

This is one of my favorite Schnucks. I love their ready made, grab n go, and bakery. Their bakery is the BEST! I don't know what it is, but it's super fancy. We order their cakes at work a LOT. I've also had several other desserts - somehow their cookie cakes are also the best. I love that they have a separate entrance for this area AND a separate check out. Great for an easy in and out. They have some specialty items here that you can't find elsewhere as well. Fancy schmancy - I would shop here more frequently if it were closer to home. read more

$7 for a small box of organic butter is an outrage! Their prices for items sold at other Schnucks locations are significantly higher just because the store is located in Ladue. Also, their isles are very narrow and are tough to navigate. Lastly, they don't have a single healthy bread out of dozens that I saw there. 99% of their breads have high-fructose corn syrup or other such ingredients added. read more

Schnucks sells kaldis coffee. What a wonderful convenience in the morning. I grabbed a cup, prepared to fill it only to realize that the largest supermarket chain in St. Louis does not stock Splenda at its coffee bar. I do not like sweet and low and need to avoid sugar. I used to work at this schnucks. I think it's a pretty well run store and the employees are generally very helpful. They have a good wine and spirit selection as well. However, I had several bad experiences shopping there recently that basically came down to the sommelier being an asshole. First of all, he never asks me if I need any help even if the store is dead. When I ask him for help, he is condescending. He has basically suggested that I couldn't afford certain products. Most recently, I asked him about a bourbon that I know for a fact other Schnucks carry. He said they didn't have it, and I responded that his specific store must not carry it. He looked at me like I was an idiot and told me that the product I was talking about didn't exist. Later that day, I went to the Schnucks on Big Bend and bought the product I was talking about (it is made by Schnucks). The guy doesn't give a crap about you unless you're over 50 and wearing a suit. read more

Extremely bad experience in the floral department today. Lack of customer service is evident throughout the store. I asked the floral sales person a couple questions before asking her to put together a small bouquet for me. I felt like I was bothering her and she made no effort at customer service. There was no other customers in the department but the floral associate was not helpful and lacked the desire to help. Flowers were overpriced and wilted. Will not return. read more
