I originally scheduled a cleaning (which i made pretty clear that's what my appointment was for) and also wanted my wisdom tooth checked since it was hurting. When I arrived, I was told they would not be doing a cleaning that day and that I would need a separate appointment so they only examined my wisdom tooth and recommended removal. After that, I was told to wait in the lobby so someone could explain the next steps for surgery. I waited around 40 minutes, and I was very patient and made it clear I was still waiting. Someone eventually came up, realized I had been waiting, and had another staff member speak with me. Even then, I waited another 10-15 minutes. When I was finally seen, the explanation was very quick (less than 5 minutes) and I did not receive any real information about how to prepare for surgery or what to expect. The staff member also seemed rushed and uninterested. On the day of surgery, I was told I had a copay of over $175 without being informed beforehand. I also explained the lack of communication from the previous visit, but it felt like that concern was ignored. I was not given any prior call or clear preparation instructions. Additionally, my medication was sent to a pharmacy I had already asked them not to use for the second time. The only positive part of my experience was the surgeon and surgical assistant, who were kind and professional during the procedure itself. Otherwise, the communication and organization leading up to it could definitely be improved.

I was able to see specialist Dr Lin, as I needed a root canal. He was so amazing, very gentle and explained everything that he was doing. I even got to see the X-ray they did in the room with me just sitting there. I then was able to see Dr Morales, which I needed 2 crowns. I was super sore but he was super gentle. I did have a bit of an anxiety cry. Which I felt so bad but Dr Morales, Lucio, Delilah & Angel were so kind. I got to interact with all of them. My crowns look so beautiful!! I hope I can be better for my next visit & not be in anxiety mode.

So she lost her permanent tooth and of course they wanted her to get an implant. Her other root canal never got a crown either. Let me put this review into context a bit - I have been to 6 different dentists and Mountain View Dental is my 7th and not all of those were horrible. In fact some were great. But not one was absolutely exceptional the way this office is. I have extremely sensitive teeth and gum recession which causes pain even when I am brushing my teeth or breathing in cold air, causing the need for a lot more patience and precision for the folks at a dental office working on my teeth. Most dentists are more concerned about patient throughput than actually taking care to not cause unnecessary pain with the extra time it takes. But not here - Dr Rivera and her staff are so gentle and comforting I almost feel like I am going to a spa. I have never felt more well cared for then at this office. They provide soft, cozy blankets, tell light hearted stories to keep my mind off the procedure, and put on good TV shows even though I am too nervous (read - uncontrollably crying from anxiety and nerves) to open my eyes to watch them. They don't shame me for this as other dentists have done - they just make it as quick and easy as possible to take good care of my teeth. If you are looking for a new dentist, a second opinion, or simply want to experience the way going to the dentist should be, I cant recommend this office enough.

From the time I entered the office everyone was professional, courteous and very welcoming. The front desk is very helpful, organized and friendly. The dental assistants and technicians were outstanding, as well. My name was even listed on the board of the office to welcome me to their practice. Their waiting room is clean and videos are very educational, too. Dr Reza reviewed my x-rays and suggested treatment(s). Everything was completely on board and I felt no pressure regarding his suggestions. The follow-up visit involved repairing (3) of my existing resin tooth fillings (which I already knew were an issue) which has now been completed and I can't be any happier with the outcome of my experience. The only suggestion that I have is that additional signing for the (2) entrances at the back of the building from the parking lot would be helpful. When I asked the front desk clerk whether patients regularly consumed them in the waiting room she confirmed that, yes they do. When asked whether the waiting room was regularly cleaned to assess how much of a risk my child was in sitting in the chairs, she said they clean once daily. The staff did not seem concerned about the risk to my child. They also did not seem educated in preventing allergic reactions for future patients. The clinic was clean and the staff were polite albeit uneducated in food allergies. Those with a tree nut allergy be warned.
