Alright, before you read this let me say I totally understand and agree that you normally would not…read moreassociate a dental procedure to a pleasant experience but hear me out on this. I had been having a tooth ache for months and my regular dentist (who is fantastic- Dr. Robin Su) told me that I more than likely needed a root canal as my tooth had been cracked and it was not going to improve. Without boring you with the details, Dr. Robin referred me to Upland Endodontix. So throughout my life, all I've heard was that root canals are terrible and literally everyone had nothing but negative things to say about them. I mean people have even said "I'd rather have my appendix removed before having a root canal". Well, needless to say I was not overly excited about this and even contemplated just living with the pain. Well, fast forward. I walk into the office and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff. Ashley and Alexis handled all the paperwork and were very friendly and professional. After only a few moments, I was brought back where I met Al, who took care of me the entire time. He was very helpful and explained everything in detail. Dr. Vu was also very professional and completed the process in about 30 minutes. Seriously, a root canal in 30 minutes. Now let me tell you I hate needles. I mean Ive had several big surgeries and before this, I would have put this right up at the top- total sissy. But as for the process, I could not have been more wrong. When I say this entire process was nothing worse than having a normal cavity filling, that's how I would describe it. Sure it's more in depth but the way they handled was very straight forward- you get a few shots, they cover your face, and do some drilling and filling. Anyways, this review is already too long but I had such a positive experience I felt compelled to pass along. The entire staff was top notch and if I could give them 10 Stars I would. I absolutely, without a doubt, highly recommend Upland Endodontix.

My wife developed sudden, severe tooth pain that quickly turned into intense headaches affecting…read morethe entire side of her face. What started on a Saturday night became an hour-by-hour struggle. We first saw a dentist on Monday, where they diagnosed an infection, prescribed amoxicillin and 800 mg ibuprofen, and recommended extracting the tooth. Unfortunately, the medication provided very little relief, and the pain continued. We sought a second opinion on Wednesday. That office recommended a root canal but didn't have an endodontist available and couldn't see her until the following week. With my wife still in significant pain, I spent most of the night and early am searching specifically for an endodontist who could see her as soon as possible. We came across Upland Endodontix. We had actually been considering another office, but after reading reviews, I didn't feel as confident. The professionalism and consistency of the reviews here gave us a much better feeling, so we reached out. They contacted us first thing Thursday morning and scheduled her for a 2:00 p.m. appointment that same day. From the moment we arrived, everyone was professional, kind, communicative, and genuinely caring. The doctor explained everything clearly, treated her very gently, and was able to save the tooth with a root canal. The difference afterward was incredible. Before treatment, even with antibiotics and prescription-strength ibuprofen, the pain never really went away--it was only slightly dulled. After the procedure, the same medications actually eliminated her remaining discomfort, allowing her to finally begin recovering. She was in and out in about 45-50 minutes, and the experience couldn't have gone better. We're incredibly grateful to the entire team for fitting her in so quickly and providing such excellent care. If I ever need an endodontist myself, this is exactly where I'll go. I highly recommend Upland Endodontix.

What an amazing experience…read more I walked into the office of a maxiofacial surgeon expecting to get my tooth pulled that day. The surgeon explained that because of my age, I would not be able to receive an implant until 10+ years and that I would run into issues with that tooth if I decided to pull it so early. He then referred us to RC Endodontics for an emergency root canal. I walked in terrified because of the poor thoughts on root canals and the issues that could arise later from failed root canals or root canals in general. They got me into the office in about 30 minutes, which was wonderful because I had been losing sleep over this tooth and experiencing horrible ear aches and jaw pain for days. They took a look at the tooth and saw that I had bone loss and a severe infection through that part of my jaw and tooth. Dr.Parmer was extremely kind and helped with my worries and concerns without judging. She performed the procedure and injected me multiple times to make the procedure more comfortable. It's been about 3 months since I've received it and I'm no longer in any pain and my bone has gone back to its normal state. I am so grateful for such a kind office and such a well done procedure. Thank you for saving my life.

Not sure if he's in any other insurance network, but even if he isn't, he will 100% not tell you that. My dentist referred me here for a root canal. Apparently they used to be in-network until about 3 months ago, but aren't anymore. My dentist was unaware of this. When I called to make the appointment, they asked for my insurance provider, member ID, Group #, all of that and never said anything about being out of network. When I got there they did another x-ray, even though my dentist sent over the x-rays he just took earlier this week, and did a quick, 2min exam. They then tried to have me sign something else and said they were gonna start the procedure but I asked for an estimate of my co-pay first. Literally every other dentist I've ever been to has always provided me with an estimate before doing any work and I found it shady that these folks didn't. The nurse seemed anxious when I asked for it but she went and put one together. The estimate FOR MY PORTION / CO-PAY was over $800 for JUST the root canal since my dentist was gonna do the post and crown himself next week. My dentist's receptionist had looked it up for me when I was there earlier this week and told me my co-pay for the specialist would probably be around $40-$60 because I opted for the best dental insurance my employer offers. When I questioned the unexpectedly high cost, only then did she admit to me that it's because they're not in-network for Delta. I let her know that there was no way I was having the work done there when it would be less than 1/10th of the price at an in-network Endodontist and she completely understood. As I was leaving I asked her what the charge would be for what little they did today and she told me it would be $170. For comparison, my dentist did multiple x-rays (rather than just the ONE the endodontist's office did) and a much longer exam and the whole visit was covered by insurance, zero co-pay. At this point, it became clear that that's why he had her do that single x-ray despite the multiple angles that my dentist had sent him. He was trying to milk the appointment for all he could. Of course, I disputed that amount on the grounds that I wouldn't even have set foot in his office had they not hidden the fact that they were out-of-network. She went and talked to the dentist, came back, and said they'd be waiving the charges. I have no input as to how good or bad his actual work is since I didn't really allow him to work on me. All I know is that I'm down 3hrs of PTO at work for nothing, and am going to have to suffer at least an extra 3 days, since it's currently Thursday afternoon, with this tooth ache while I find and make an appointment with an in-network endodontist. Had they told me on Tuesday when I called to make the appointment that they weren't in-network, I might have been able to book an appointment at that time to have the work done this week by someone in-network. Regardless of how good or bad his actual dental work may be, Dr. Hockin is just a terrible person.
