It was terrific but the seafood counter has changed management. Team from 2014 is no longer there. Unfortunate.

No creamy lusciousness. No herby clammy umami. They sell clam juice. They should use it. I bought it, tasted it, added everything I could think of to make it taste like something but nada. Didn't mention It's watery? Zero clam taste? There are clams for sure, but I doubt they are fresh. Ps I hate potatoes in my soup. It's a cheap lazy way to add bulk, but red potatoes??? After tasting it, I was so mad that I thought to go back and nicely tell them to stop cutting corners as this will only lead to the closure of yet another failed biz, but instead I threw it out. These owners own a few places out here. Why would u mess with tried and true recipes? You have to spend money to make money. Sell less junk! Keep the good stuff we loyal patrons come back for over and again! Hey guys, read the room! We r a beach community filled with local fisherman and seafood lovers. Don't mess with perfection. She helped me navigate how much we would need and the best part- they cook we eat! The lobsters were delicate and not overcooked and the clams; I'm not a big clam person but I devoured more than my fair share for sure. We also got a container of their garlic butter OMG. By the end of the meal we were all doing butter shots! Thank you Stuart's for a fab experience.

Tonight I had the Shrimp/Scallop Diavlo and it was terrific! Really delicious and not too hot/spicy - just right. The shrimp and scallops were just perfect. And the hot garlic bread might be the best I have ever had, much better than at the other 11946 restaurants here, that's for sure. The local brownie was the right price and very good. I would definitely recommend this place and return here. It is a not a gourmet restaurant, but still excellent for its type of eatery. Check it out if you love fresh seafood!

This is a top location and workers were stressing and edgy. Two more people needed at least. In food - Build it they will come! Crowd wise at least. Asked about the Manhattan - no taste offered Just a scoop lifted and comment about it being Manhattan clam chowder . Oh ok so then just give me the small - cant do a quart untested - lol Over comes the New England - eeek Ok so then when told - insisted I told him New England and the classic flinging out of the cup after saving the chowder - Thanked Was grateful for the soup - tipped and thought wow - they need to ramp up the front counter - who were also getting clams - one woman gave a waiting tables away to a new person on the line - heard that stressing out my soup guy - When in the Hamptons chill out and thank them - it's a lot to go from 2 to 100 in a few weeks. Dockers is the only place that nails it every time - but you're going to pay for it. All around ok place for all types of seafood - Manhattan chowder is Meh - watery potatoey - But a few fresh clams - so ok. Their claim to fame is their clams and steamers - fresh and delicious. Nice outdoor picnic tables on the deck before the door. Wait service and cool drinks or beer. Insider a few tables for dining in. Very reliably good. Go to chill out and enjoy real locally made soups and fresh seafood.

Wild Caught Fish has brought my once borderline-high cholesterol down to normal levels. I love their Wild Ceviche, Wild Calamari, and Wild Rock Shrimp. Prices of seafood are comparable to those of other high-end grocery stores on the Island, such as Wegmans and Whole Foods Market, but Citarella has a larger section of wild caught fish; for example, I do not see Wild Caught Ceviche anywhere but here. The store has other things that I want: gourmet cheese, smoked salmon, caviar, Wagyu beef, nice homemade soups, etc. Everything always looks fresh. Staff gives expert advice and stellar service. Today Zaheer, from the butcher chop, took my order and did an excellent job. Lastly, there are small tables outside to dine. You will find everything you need here for a quick lunch. I enjoy grocery shopping here even though it takes me nearly an hour's drive to come. This was my 400th Yelp review, and I proudly chose Citarella to mark that milestone. I hope that my experience delivers an impact on those who read this review.

Bought our dinner from here for the second time in two days (can you tell we're fans?) Yesterday, we ordered two 2 lb lobsters and 2lbs of Cod. For no extra charge you can get the lobster steamed and partially broken down (made easy for you to crack open and get down to business ty v much) Naturally, we opted for the pre-steamed/broken downfare and passed on the live option. I absolutely love lobster but I don't think I could ever cook (kill) one, myself tbh. This weekend, we were going to go into town for oysters and wine but upon yelping the prices (average price of $3/oyster aka yeah right. No thanks, buddy. When you can get great $1 oysters at many reputable NYC restaurants you find this to be lowkey insulting) we decided we should buy our own bottles and check out Alice's oyster offerings. Jot this down: most liquor stores in Greenport/Southold/Mattituck carry a variety of bottles from various north fork vineyards so wine not stock up. Of course, Alice's did not disappoint! They sell a dozen oysters for $12.50. So basically I could buy three dozen oysters (roughly) for the price of one dozen in town. If you give them an hours notice they'll even shuck them for you free of charge. Hosting an event? Alice's offer a raw bar party option where they'll set up a raw bar table and prepare the oysters/clams etc. in front of you at your event. So to sum up this super long review, Alice's is wonderful, attentive and of the highest quality. Go check them out on your visit to the North Fork
