Their local corn is fantastic this time of year. So sweet you don't even need butter. We've gotten eggplant, corn, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, nectarines, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, and lettuce here and you truly can taste the difference. It's a nice local farmer and quaint and full of charm. They have their own parking lot off the road which is great and much safer. They also sell local flowers which are beautiful and the most perfect sunflowers during the summer. The staff at Vicki's are friendly and helpful if you need it!

We live in Nassau county, but never mind the drive, the traffic, or anything because of how wonderful Helens (and their staff!) is. We don't have children yet, but truly do it all just us and it always feels nostalgic to me- we pick the pumpkins right off the vines, buy sooo much fresh produce/baked goods (you MUST get the cider donuts), mums, hay, and now that they have apple picking, it has become our one-stop shop for everything Fall! We love their fresh roasted corn and corn dogs from the snack shack, and truly look forward to our visit every single year! Because we come back, the staff usually recognizes us and always says, "It's so nice to see you again" & the feeling is more than mutual!!!! We love Helens and already can't wait to come back

I kind of felt overwhelmed with how much and just how huge this place really is. I passed by it hundreds of times on my way out to the North Fork but since I need to redo my yard, I figured I'd stop in. I was seriously impressed by the selection. Prices even for the more mature trees and plants are rather reasonable as well. They do offer delivery but that's going to hit you hardest in the wallet. The staff is hit or miss, you'll either get someone who is friendly and helpful or a complete snob. This is a great place to come for plants since they seriously have nearly everything and recommended. I just wish they were closer to where I live.

Mid season, the familiar faces were gone and so did the great service and produce. My gripe is with their cases of tomatoes. For years we were able to adjust boxes (meaning swap out bad tomatoes) or "top off" the case. This year however, there was a $5 upcharge (anytime they felt like charging it, depending on who was working that day) which is fine because I get it, prices change but be consistent. Also the case is "as is" which means I now have to wonder how many rotten tomatoes I'm gifted with. Only to be told quite rudely "if you don't like it, don't buy it" Where are the sisters who ran this farm exceptionally?? So disappointing.
