All the drilling, the needles, the numbing, the taste of that Satan paste they use for your fillings... Then there's that suction straw, am I the only idiot that accidentally closes my sinuses every time and feel like my brains are going to get sucked out of my skull? Despite all of that unpleasantness, I actually love visiting Dr. Dennis Abere and his team. (Side note: Dennis is the most common first name for dentists. Real fact. Chew on that a minute. Then spit.) All of the hygienists are super friendly and awesome, and so is Dr. Abere. Admittedly, I am not the most dedicated flosser, but this doc never tries to guilt me into flossing more. I mean, I know I should. He knows I know I should. It's all good in the hood. When he's not poking people's gums, you can find him and his wife volunteering at Irish Fest selling beer and wine tickets for fun. The whole fam comes here to take care of their chompers, so when we all go to Irish Fest it's kinda like "Where's Waldo?" - we just have to drink enough beer to visit each ticket booth. Don't have a dentist? Book an appointment here. Have a dentist? Switch. You won't regret it.

Dr. Plecas heard I was standing in a wedding the following week and nervous about swelling. He called their other locations to see if anyone could assist Monday but then instead made time same day in between patients to get the tooth pulled. So beyond grateful to everyone who helped get this done today. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, I truly am amazed they made it work for me.

I recently had some significant tooth pain and called them first thing when they opened. When I got…read morea hold of them, they were booked for two days but understood that I was struggling and in pain. They told me they would try and move some things around and they called me back within an hour with a same day appointment. When I got there they could tell I was in a lot of pain and they took the time to hear me out and work through some tests to help me find a solution. While they didn't see any obvious issues, they did call a partner specialist while they were in the room with me to try and get me seen by them that day. I'm super grateful to Dr Plecas and his team for accommodating me when I needed help, and making sure they took the time to work through it all. They are always super nice, non-judgemental and take great care of their team and staff. I am super thrilled I found my way to this group and will recommend them to anyone in need of a great dental practice!

First, I came in with a very painfully infected tooth. I felt like they used my pain as leverage to try and get me to spend between $500 and $900 that day. They could have done something to manage some pain. Told the only way to manage pain was to spend $500. I did have the procedure done about 2 weeks later. Again faced with a lot of pain. Especially upset at that point because the partial they made was a significantly different color from my teeth or other denture. I asked about this a couple of times and was told that in reality it is what it is and that they only have a few shades to work with. Something should have been said when they were scanning me for the partial. I'm told in 6 months they can do better. I highly suspect they just don't want to spend the money and correct their mistake when scanning, before printing the partial.

I have had three extractons. The staff, although friendly, is never the same. I've been attending…read moreappointments since late October and STILL do NOT have my dentures!!! They made three uppers and have yet to get it right! I was told they would try "one more" time! Thousands of dollars. Dr Patel used old, ill fitted and broken, dentures to get an impression fir the new dentures. I've had canker sores in my mouth for months as I'm wearing "temporary" dentures. I cannot chew food and need to cut up all food. To be told they would make one more upper denture and that's it. Imagine?, a total of three months, I may walk out with my original partial and denture. HOW will I manage when the teeth that were fit for the partial have been extracted? I was given a lower denture as the final product- They do not sit on my gums because the impression was taken with the original teeth still intact. Ridiculous. I mentioned this multiple times asking just how the new denture will fit if there are pockets of where the teeth that were about to be extracted. YIKES! sure enough - pockets in the final lower! Then the manager stepped in and said "no, that's a mistake, that was a temporary lower - I ALREADY HAD A TEMPORARY LOWER. I'm shaking as I write this. The owner was there for one of the "final uppers" were given. She totally agreed that they were unacceptable. When I went back I was seated in a room where I sat for nearly 30 minutes with nurse Kim appearing to say "we'll be right in". I left. Finally went back only to be given the SAME SHAPE, FIT AND COLOR as the ones Dr T, the owner, wrote specifically what needed to be done. I surrender. I still sent my son there for an extraction as I like the staff and appreciate the owner and the managers concern. Too bad, Dr T, the owner was there but once in the three months of appointments. After her opening a few more locations I have been extremely disappointe. I would go to CHOICE before choosing Aspen.

I do admit that Dr. Salm is a very good dentist, but he is a fantastic sales person. I went in for…read morea cleaning, explained to him that I did not need any crowns because I was not in any pain and nothing was currently broken, I just wanted to have my teeth cleaned. He gave his very best pitch and convinced me that I was in need of two crowns. Well my insurance wholeheartedly disagreed, so on top of the $2000 that I already paid, I now owe another $1200 because it wasn't covered at all. Even though the quote says that they are going to call for an approval, they don't. Over $3000 for two crowns I did not want. That is a lot of money.

The building is visible from the main road and very easy to get to. It's much larger feeling than the old strip mall location and offers plenty of parking. The waiting area is spacious with plenty of seating, and there is still a tv to watch while you wait. You know you don't want to miss out on HGTV ;) Oh, and bonus! There is a guest bathroom just behind the coffee area. Remember the cookie basket and bottled water? Still there. So is the coffee machine and a children's area. It's full of the same friendly faces from the old location which is awesome. I loved the staff before so I am glad they all were willing to make the move. The rooms are all really clean and brightly lit, and The ones I had the pleasure of visiting had large windows to look out. It is definitely a different vibe than the old office. It's a lot more relaxing!

These guys weren't even willing to call my insurance company to tell me if a new one would be covered or not. Seriously think about that - they wouldn't even call my insurance so I could get them paid. I had to call them. They also didn't tell me the dentist that referred me to them didn't send over the referral and panoramic information they requested until the very last minute the day before my appointment, then waited until I showed up in person to tell me that I need a new panoramic. Every last sentence I had with the staff there was greeted with hostility. Seriously I was treated so bad I wouldn't come back in if they gave me the extraction for free.
