He says he uses a third-party to maximize insurance payout and after that is received, he would refund anything that insurance covers. When I asked what patients do when they can't afford this treatment, he became defensive and explained that he couldn't provide services for free (which I wouldn't expect). I found a local (TMJ & Orofacial Pain Treatment Center) doctor who is excellent, fitted me with a night guard for under $200, and that has very clear patient costs for services after insurance, and charges much less overall.

I would not go back to him and neither will my friend. She will also lodge a complaint with the State so that other folks with public insurance will be spared from his non-professional, rude attitude.
