I love Schlotzsky's, but so disappointed with how shiesty they are with the meat. I literally got two slices of turkey On my sandwich.

I've had sandwiches in NYC and Boston, but Tony's were definitely better! The menu is overwhelming because so much sounds good, so we went with two 7 inch sandwiches to split--one hot and one cold. Although a helpful tip from the cashier is that you can order any cold sandwich hot. We had the Lucky Luciano (hot) and the Sophia (cold). Both were really good--it was hard to choose between the two. But if I'm being honest, that cold sandwich was reminiscent of subs I loved in the early 2000s from places that no longer exist...with that super thinly sliced turkey, thick slice of Swiss cheese, and basil mayo--it really hit the spot. We also had a cannolo--not as good as others I've had. The bottled root beer was delightful. The Lucky Luciano was the kind of sandwich I came here for, and don't get me wrong, it is deliciously cheesy and will make your hands messy. But the Sophia is the kind of sandwich I'll be craving. My only regret was not taking a sandwich to-go for later. Open a location closer to Houston, please. :)

They are a pepsi place (booooooo!), and there's no diet pepsi (pepsi zero is their only zero calorie soda option). If you drink Diet Coke (most popular diet drink in USA), then you don't want diet pepsi, but you'll probably drink it if you have to; however, you're very likely to hate pepsi zero (and Coke Zero, too), so no soda for you here anymore! A full Coke setup that also includes Dr Pepper AND Diet Dr Pepper is ideal. I realize a pepsi fountain is more profitable because of distributor incentives, but pepsi is favored by almost nobody and hated by many...so is it really worth it? Tony's is so great that pepsi just does not fit in. Hopefully they don't deteriorate further and change to Wonderbread for all of their sandwiches. Bottom line: at the very least, please add diet pepsi to your soda machine if that brand remains in place.

The staff were friendly, and there was plenty of seating inside. I went with the Manager's Special, which includes a half sandwich, a soup, and chips, and it's around $12-$14. One nice perk at Jason's Deli is the free soft-serve ice cream. They have cones and offer vanilla, chocolate, and a vanilla-chocolate swirl. This time, though, the ice cream was a bit icy and watery. Usually it's smooth and creamy, so that was a little disappointing--but it's free, and I still appreciate that they offer it. For my soup, I chose the seafood gumbo. It had six or seven shrimp in it, which really surprised me, and it was very flavorful. Overall, if you like sandwiches, soups, salads, or healthier options, Jason's Deli is a solid choice, and I'd recommend this location.

While visiting friends in Baytown and doing some Christmas Day shopping, we spotted this location and thought, why not give it a try? I thought of their oaded potatoes, but ended up going with the half sandwich, half soup combo instead. I chose the chipotle avocado chicken sandwich and the chicken pot pie soup. Service was surprisingly fast despite it being around lunchtime, there was only one other table near us. Once we placed our order, the food arrived in under five minutes. The sandwich tasted good, but it was a bit light on protein. I wish they had added a couple more pieces of chicken. The chicken pot pie soup, on the other hand, was tasty and very thick--almost gravy-like in consistency. They also offer free ice cream, which is a nice perk, though it was a little icy for my liking. Still, it's a fun touch. Overall, the experience was solid with quick service and friendly staff. They did ask if I had a Jason's Deli Rewards account and if I wanted to sign up, but it's not a place I visit often enough to justify it.

However, the rest of the staff is up for debate. I am a regular here at Jersey Mike's and I come at least once a week. I ordered the same order every time and there's no discrepancy when I do it with Jaz, but with everyone else, (Hispanic lead guy idk his name it might be Cody) there's always an issue. They can never make the simple accommodations that I ask for. And now just recently I'm being told that I cannot purchase an additional bread roll... when literally two days ago I was able to, now all of a sudden, I'm being told that corporate is not allowing people to purchase bread, which is quite disappointing being that I always spend money here and that corporate does not want to make an extra couple of dollars by me making an extra purchase. It's funny how I cannot buy bread so I have to go to the grocery store across the street in the next block to purchase it but when I asked to sub out ham for pepperoni, then suddenly I have to be charged for that, but I can't be charged for bread. They just want to make it inconvenient for you, but that's OK. I will not be coming to Jersey Mike's anymore. Thanks guys for ruining my go to meal.

Lots of seating, great wait staff, and the sandwiches are gigantic--as they should be for the price. $30 for a sandwich on average. We split an open face pastrami (which they brought an extra plate) and we are glad we did. The potato salad is tiny. Too much sandwich for one but not enough potato salad for two! The pickles they provide before your sandwich arrives are yummy- not like a traditional out of the bar pickle. These are what I remember from NYC. Garlic and not sweet. We also had the apple pie alamode. Also pricey and gigantic. It was warm and delicious. Glad we tried this icon. We went at lunch and they get quite the crowd. You are not rushed at all. You can even take some bakery items to go--if you are too full to eat there. Amazing selection of cookies, rugala, black and white cookies and more.

I'm feeling nostalgic about missing my mother's food, and so had to order it when I saw they had a cabbage roll appetizer. One of those oldie but goodie foods that your mother and grandmother knew how to make, but most of us lost the recipe. There is a slight hint of sweetness in it that's quite appealing, it's different than my mother's version, but I thought it was really excellent!! Will order that again. I don't normally wax poetic about a pickle, but the one they put on my Reuben sandwich plate is worth an ode. I asked them to make the Reuben with pastrami instead of corned beef, and add extra Swiss cheese and Russian dressing. Bib up, it'll drip juices but that's a good thing. Anyway, the pickle on that plate was a three bears story - not too strong, not too bland, but absolutely perfect. I was in a traditionalist mood and so I ordered blintzes for dessert with blueberry sauce. This is my first time eating here, the food was really great, and the staff was warm and wonderful. And you know, the coffee tasted really fresh and was delicious as well! Next time I will order the cabbage rolls again, definitely the blitzes for dessert, and then I'll have to try something else off the menu. Voyage of discovery. Definitely coming back soon!

Lots of good options on the menu, and I was craving their famous cinnamon roll pancakes, but then a server brought out migas to a table and I immediately knew I wanted that instead. Here, it's a little opposite from most places, you gotta pick your seat first then order as the seats, especially the tables, are hard to come by at times. There are plenty stools along the window but the tables are better and most tables are family style so you'll likely be meeting someone new. I also added a chocolate bread pudding for myself which looked really good. The rest of my group ordered the granny's breakfast with sausage, 2 scrambled eggs and Benny's tostadas. The food comes out surprisingly quick for as busy as they are. Everything was so delicious! People rave about the service. The service is fine. You order at the counter and get your own silverware and drinks. The food is another story. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and corn. Mash was fine. Corn was whatever. From can to plate. Nothing added. The CFS was atrocious. It was like breaded & over salted shoe leather. See the pictures. I couldn't eat all of it. The best thing on the plate was the toast. Oh, and they charge $19 for it. Whether frozen or homemade, which I doubt, to deliberately serve this to a customer, shame on you. My wife got the BLT. $13.50 for bread and lettuce with a little bacon. No mayo or mustard. Plain and bland. We realized later that you have to procure your own condiments, I think. Still, it was not good. The fries were undercooked and tasted baked. Sorry, but I feal betrayed by social media and what must be friendly reviews. This review is honest. The place is cool and I had high hopes but was sorely disappointed. Oh, I had a piece of cherry cheesecake. It was good.
