One was ridiculously high (this is our second install plus another at my mother-in-laws, sister-in-law's, and our son's, so we have a pretty good idea about costs and what increases that cost). Hitech was responsive, knowledgeable, reasonably priced and when they came out, there was an experienced electrician training a young journeyman electrician. They were both nice and made sure we were happy with the job. 18 months after intallation, my car started to send a message that it was sensing heat at the outlet and was turning off. When I called Hitec, they were very responsive and sent a tech out the next morning. He said they have not had any issues with the boxes, but he would check everything out. The only thing he found was that one of the four screws was not tight. He tightened it and told me that if I got a message again, to call them right back and they would send someone out to redo the work. We have not had any other issues. Their great reputation, immediate response and willingness to make sure the work is done right means we'll use them again for any future electrical work.

I will surely pay them with referrals and any future I needs that is over my DIY abilities.

This electrician found a smart, creative solution that others didn't, avoiding damage. That alone was impressive. What really stood out was the communication and follow-up. From the first interaction, everything was clear, timely, and professional. He showed up fully prepared for multiple scenarios, which made the whole process efficient and stress-free. Michael is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly takes pride in doing things the right way. There was zero pressure or upselling--just honest recommendations with real integrity. You can tell he's focused on long-term safety and quality, not quick fixes. Michael was also clean, respectful of our home, and left the space better than expected after the work was done. On top of that, he went above and beyond to make sure the final result was done exceptionally well, not just "good enough." (And he was so kind and patient with my dogs!) If you're looking for an electrician who is skilled, thoughtful, trustworthy, and genuinely cares about doing excellent work, this is the one to call. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone.

Initially we planned to take our terrible experience with Sunflake Electrical as a "life lesson" as…read morefirst time homeowners. After sharing our experience with other contractors & employees of Home Depot (just to ensure our dissatisfaction was warranted) they recommend we make our negative experience public so others don't go through the same thing. After researching on Home Advisor & seeing many positive reviews we decided to hire Sunflake Electrical to perform some basic electrical work around our home. · Main issues: o Exhaust Fan - installed but the hole was cut too large for the new fan. The electrician admitted to cutting a hole despite strategically purchasing the new fan based on existing opening size. o Kitchen Light - we did not purchase the correct light in advance & told the electrician not to proceed with installation. While at Home Depot getting other supplies he proceeded to install a non-approved light fixture, leaving us with an off centered light fixture. As the icing on the cake, we are also left with a jagged opening next to the off centered light fixture we did not choose. o Lastly, if the installation of other services would have gone smoothly, it would have also been easier to look past the mess we were left to clean up. · We shared the photos with the owner and he felt the electrical work had been done properly, and would be happy with the work in his own home. SEE PHOTOS. · We gave the owner multiple opportunities to "make this right" but his solution was for us to pay another one of his employees a flat rate of $250 to fix the two jagged holes. We are left with a jaded outlook on anyone coming to our home to complete repairs. Bottom line, avoid Sunflake Electrical! ADDITIONAL CONTEXT BASED ON OWNERS RESPONSE: Sunflake Owner: "Once the fan was completed, our electrician cleaned up the drop cloth that he had initially laid out and began cleaning the bathroom. The husband said he could clean the rest, so we proceeded to start the installation of the light." Response: Yes, the electrician laid a drop cloth on our bathroom floor that partially covered the floor (not the sink, vanity, toilet, etc.), and yes I offered to clean up the mess - the reason being, at this point the job had already taken longer than expected, and this was a matter of cost-savings. When replacing the kitchen light fixture, no drop cloth was used, and I was worried about all the debris falling into our garbage disposal, which luckily did not stop our garbage disposal from functioning properly. Sunflake Owner: "The customer asked to provide their own parts. We are totally fine with that at Sunflake." "If it had been a mistake on our part, we would have fixed the drywall no questions asked." Response: We are first time home owners, leaning on what we thought would be competent, trusted professionals to guide us in the right direction - not to receive an unfinished job and then be blamed for "our shortcomings." My wife ran to Home Depot mid-service to get additional parts for the duct work. The existing fan was already removed. She reviewed the previously purchased fan with the electrician at the start of the appointment but could have easily purchased another fan before installation. The light fixture installed was provided by Sunflake, because our two attempts to purchase something that work failed. My wife instructed the electrician to rehang the old fixture but he proceeded to install a light fixture he had on hand - which the owner also blames us for. Sunflake Owner: "Hopefully an intelligent consumer realizes the excellent value they received on this job and gives us a chance to earn their business." Response: The icing on the cake... not only does Sunflake Electrical perform an unfinished job, the owner then insults a paying customer by more or less calling us unintelligent. I truly hope that others steer clear of Sunflake Electrical, don't believe their higher ratings you see out on the internet.

When I used the Yelp Request-A-Quote function to reach out to a few electricians, Steven and his wife were incredibly responsive, and his quote was the most reasonable. We got him in the house right away, and we are so grateful he committed to a multi-week job. I asked him, "Do you have a lot of experience working on old 100+ year old homes?" and he reassured me that he's from England and has "worked on 400 year old homes"! We gave him direction and provided light fixtures and specific switches (LED dimmers) that we wanted, and then he went to town. We figured a ton of issues would come up with the old plaster, the old wiring, the logistics of the old home... but nope, he seemed to work around everything seamlessly. He only had to make a couple holes in the plaster, and he referred someone who patched them up real quick n nice. Steven made some suggestions throughout the process too, like better places to move the switches and outlets (no extra charge), which we were grateful for. He also updated our entire breaker panel which somehow had water damage and was barely to code, phew! The entire time, he was very communicative between calls and texts. We've been doing some other work on the house and it seems we run into snags with every simple little update. But I'm so thrilled that the biggest job of rewiring the whole dang house was such a cinch. I can't recommend Steven and Atlantic Electric enough!
