Happy with my lunch! As a group of 15, we were all very happy with the service and the food. I got the chicken salad sandwich and coleslaw. The smoked honey chicken was very good with a nice touch of sweetness and smokiness. I expected lettuce & tomato but it was plain and that's ok. The whole grain bread was thick and fresh with a lovely chewiness that went perfectly with the chicken salad. I also had a couple Raspberry Hefeweizen beers and they were fabulous! A friend really enjoyed her fish & chips.

Super neat place that is open and clean. We sat at the bar and had great attentive service with Cathy. We ordered the Chicken Wings and Reuben. The wings are amazing. That rub is to die for. The Reuben was delicious as well and wasn't soggy. Of course, the beer was great as always. I love the Raspberry Hefe the most.

Dave was an amazing bartender. He was so nice but super real and honest. It was a breathe of fresh air. Dave helped us with what to drink and food order as well! We tried the Brisket Sandwich Half rack of ribs Smoked ribs Caesar salad Everything was so so good! We will definitely be back soon! The wings were mouthwatering! Service was great! Dave even took off my croutons off my salad for me, I told him I was KETO. I will keep going back and just having him as our server! Ambiance was very relaxed, pub style and fun!

Schlafly Bankside is hit or miss. I've had really great meals here and I've had not so great meals here. It's hard to review because they are not consistent. Service is consistently slow and has been so for as long as they have been here. It seems like help is hard to find these days, so I don't fault the restaurant. If someone in the family wants to eat there, I won't protest, but I won't suggest it either.

Service was quick, the restaurant was neat and clean, and the food was good! The smoked chicken nachos were perfect and the jaegerschnitzel was great (minus the cabbage being hot)!

First time using our #pubpass and it worked like a charm. We had a burger, reuben, fries, all tasted great. The English muffin on my burger kind of disintegrated, but no worries! Everything was freshly cooked. We had a flight of 5 beers, all were very good, then settled on 2 pints for our passes. Our server was very friendly and efficient.

I was there with work. They were accommodating if we needed to add another table. We ended up not needing one. I ordered the French Dip with fries. I wish the top of the bun was a little more toasted. It was served warm as it was okay. Everyone's fries were extremely cold. Our waitress was very nice and was able to split checks for a large party.

Our Go-To Schlafly Bankside has been my husband & I's go-to spot for a bite to eat and a beer lately. We love going there and grabbing a seat at the bar. The service is always great and there are plenty of TV's around the bar for the sports-lover. The ambiance creates a chill and laid back atmosphere. We love the variety of beers on draft. I always find a seasonal item I love! They also do flights (even a "round trip" flight which is EVERY beer on the menu - perfect for sharing with a table). The buffalo chicken salad is a FAVORITE. The lettuce & avocado is so fresh, crispy Buffalo chicken bites, corn & black beans. I often find myself craving it at least once a week. The beer cheese soup is also delicious. My husband & I often get both and share! He also loves the smoked wings here. The Cajun turkey sandwich is my second go-to choice here. Highly recommend Schlafly Bankside while out enjoying historical Main Street St. Charles - or anytime!

Great beer. The Ukraine Strong Lager is my favorite. Not too hoppy. The Heffenweizen is a properly done Heff. Great biscuit finish. The Classic Proper Cider is also excellent... very much Apple, with little sugar. Cool place. Great atmosphere... lots of room for people to eat.

My husband and I were looking for a late night dinner on a Friday night and Schlafly in Old Towne St Charles came to mind. It may have been the first time we visited this location. The five stars come from the pleasant surprise that Happy Hour starts again at 8pm Monday - Friday. Drafts and Apps are all $5! This prompted my husband to order off the available app menu. He got the pretzels, nacho and gyros. The pretzels were excellent with a cheesy dip. The nachos had a smoky flavor. He ended up taking home the gyro and a great deal of the nachos. Now if it would have just me, the rating would have been much lower. I would suggest you add some plant-based items on the menu. Us vegans have no choices except maybe a modified salad. I ordered the fish and fries as an alternative and was disappointed. The fish was bland and the fries just okay. The happy hour Hefeweizen was great as expected. Our waitress was awesome! The location and historical building is always fun to visit.

I wanted a table but they were short staffed so I sat at the bar. I ordered an iced tea and the French Dip sandwich with french fries. The sandwich was served very warm and so was the au jus but the fries were disappointing, just luke warm. The shaved prime rib was tasty and tender. The Swiss cheese was perfectly melted and the hoagie was toasted just right. I asked the bartender for a recommendation but she just told me the top sellers. I rely on servers to guide me to solid favorites and what to avoid. I was surprised with the small lunch crowd. Old St. Charles has so much charm plus the Katy Trail is 100 yards away, which I hit after lunch.

A huge venue with a giant wrap around bar. 15+ beer options means there is always something you like on tap and the menu is a bar and grill vibe with a nod to German influence. Some of the best fried pickles I've ever had!

Narrow Gauge has a great microbrewery vibe, and the beer selection was impressive--everyone in our group found something different to try. I went with a 16 oz Mullanphy's, an Irish-style red ale, and it really hit the spot. Smooth, flavorful, and exactly what I was looking for after a long day. Since we had worked up an appetite, we ordered food from Cugino's Italian Restaurant next door, which pairs perfectly with the brewery setup. It made for a seamless experience--great beer and great food without having to go far. What stood out just as much as the drinks was the service. The manager on duty was attentive and made sure our group was taken care of, which added to the overall positive experience. All in all, it was a great way to wrap up the day. I'd definitely recommend Narrow Gauge for anyone looking for quality craft beer and a laid-back atmosphere.

The brewery is very comfortable with a variety of seating options. There is the bar, high tops and couches. They have a variety of games available, along with some pinball machines. I had a cider - an apricot cider, a unique blend from a Colorado cider. They have merchandise and beer to go, which my husband did buy some to go. They have chips and pretzels, but food can be ordered and delivered from local establishments. A great place to stop in if in the area.

For food I ordered the smash burger and fries. It came out fresh and hot but it was just ok! The ambiance of the building is what sold me. The elegance and high ceilings i absolutely loved.
