I had no pain at all before the procedure. Shortly after the filling, I developed severe and persistent pain. I returned for a follow-up on 10/18 and clearly reported significant pain. However, the issue was not properly diagnosed, and I was told to wait. I then suffered weeks of worsening pain, including pain even when breathing, before the real problem was finally identified on 11/8. At that visit, Dr. Jenna Bablouzian acknowledged that there were cracks in the tooth and that drilling had caused them to worsen, now requiring a root canal or extraction. These cracks existed before the filling but were not identified before treatment or at the first follow-up, even though they were later visible through simple intraoral photos. Most concerning was the lack of proper communication and informed consent. The risks were not verbally explained before the filling, and this was later acknowledged by Dr. Jenna. Had I been properly informed of the condition of my tooth and the risks, I would have chosen a different treatment plan and avoided weeks of unnecessary pain. I raised these concerns with the practice manager, Vanessa, but instead of accountability, I received generic explanations that did not address the missed diagnosis, delayed care, lack of informed consent, or the prolonged pain I endured. Additionally, after raising my concerns, I later received a bill for the intraoral photos taken on 11/8. I was never informed that these photos would be charged, no fee was discussed that day, and no charge was collected at checkout. Receiving a bill afterward for undisclosed charges was unexpected and deeply concerning. This experience caused significant physical pain and stress. I would strongly encourage patients to ask very detailed questions, confirm all costs in advance, and consider seeking a second opinion before receiving treatment here. After this, I received a voicemail from Dr. Jenna stating that because I requested a remedy and indicated I would file a complaint, she viewed this as a "threat," and that this was the reason a dismissal letter was issued. Hearing that a patient's attempt to seek resolution and exercise the right to file a complaint was interpreted as a threat was extremely concerning, and further reinforced my decision to warn others about this experience.

I asked why I wasn't getting a cleaning and she said she ran out of time and they would schedule a cleaning for me AFTER I get a crown. An annual cleaning (much needed due to covid) was being held hostage until I had a crown put in. I shared how unhappy I was with them and never went back. Thanks to Abington, I now get pretty anxious when I have to go to the dentist. Thanks for that. Response to the note left by manager: Wow! The fact that you cannot find me as a patient is not surprising as poorly as this office is run. And yes, I live in MA, and I have left the right review for the right place (although it did take some effort since there is more than one location).
