He was highly responsive and flexible with all of our requests and kept us updated throughout. I can't say enough about the quality of work he provided us. The ceremony was beautiful, and overall we felt like our loved one was honored considering the short amount of time that everything was completed. They took care of the slideshow that was shown during the service, they also took care of the playlist of songs, and they took care of the programs that were handed out. Norma was also helpful in making sure the food was stocked and displayed along with ensuring our guests needs were taken care of. The bathrooms were clean, the whole building seemed to be clean, and it didn't seem like that detail was overlooked which was highly appreciated after viewing other funeral homes. The lighting was good, and we felt like the staff was good overall as well. There was also a private family room attached to the main service room if anyone needed a break or wanted to use it for a kids room. This place was full service from what I could tell. The only part that I wasn't extremely satisfied with was towards the very end where it felt like we were a little rushed out. We did book for an extra hour to ensure this didn't happen, but things happen and we understand that part wasn't understood my some of the staff. I would recommend this place to anyone based on the services provided that we received.

After speaking with some of the larger chains, it became clear this wasn't the direction I wanted to go. I searched online and found a place that was Veteran owned. My Father was a Marine Corp veteran and I decided to call. From the time Fernando picked up the phone and patiently listened through my crying what I was trying to get across, then meeting with Nancy, I knew I was at the right place. Nancy even gave me her personal cell number and invited me to call anytime. I did just that when I was distraught, and lost in a city I was unfamiliar with. She and her staff took time out of their busy schedules to help me navigate to where I needed to be. Mr. Tom Shelton, the funeral director, contacted me to let me know that they were waiting on the doctor to certify Dad's death. Talk about being heartbroken at this revelation. It had already been 3 weeks since his passing. He assured me that his staff was contacting them frequently to get this done. Tom promised he would contact me daily to update me on this. True to his word, he did just that. We were able to have his service recently and Tom and his staff were amazing! The value I received for handling our affairs were significantly lower than these big funeral chains--some who never bothered to return my call. Funeral Caring USA's prices were more than fair, but the best value of all was their care and compassion during this difficult time. Thank You Tom, Nancy, Fernando and the entire staff at Funeral Caring USA. You all truly made a difference during this difficult time. The Herrera Family

I HIGHLY recommend Funeral Caring USA…read more We have used Funeral Caring's services twice. Both were for relatives in another state. We could not have asked for more professionalism and support during these trying times. My husband and I, afterwards, set up pre-need services for ourselves to ease the burden on our children when the time comes. We were able to sit down and plan out OUR wishes and needs, 12 plus years ahead of time (and counting), when emotions are not running high and time pressures are on... Another bonus, the price is covered with their pre-paid program, no matter how much time goes by. Other friends and family have also taken advantage of their pre-need services to reduce the stress on their loved ones on our recommendation. It does give you peace of mind.

We met with Richard at the Bandera location, and he was kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. After notifying them of our mothers passing, we spoke with Nancy Powell, who was our funeral director. From the point of notification, every conversation with her was full of rudeness, a lack of empathy and compassion and lies. She takes no accountability for her actions and when I confronted her on some lies she told, it was just shrugs and an "Oh well", and crossed arms. She didn't even have the courtesy of showing up to our mom's funeral, not that I wanted her there. I've already made it very clear to Nancy that she is an unlikable person. I dont know how or why she interacts with the public when she makes it clear that she doesn't like people or her job. If she is assigned to your funeral, I would strongly recommend going to another company

From the very beginning, their team treated us with such compassion, patience, and respect. They made an incredibly painful process feel a little more manageable and handled everything with such dignity. They worked alongside Any Baby Can, a nonprofit organization in San Antonio that supports families experiencing the loss of a baby, and together they created a supportive and comforting experience during such a heartbreaking time. Every detail was handled thoughtfully, and we never felt rushed or overlooked. Their prices were one of the best we found in San Antonio as well. Their kindness and professionalism meant more to us than words can fully express. I am deeply grateful for the care they provided and would recommend them to any family needing support during such a difficult moment.
