My uncle who is a Deacon in McAllen got approval…read morefrom Good Shepherd church to perform rosary for my mom (his sister) and Robbie told him he was not doing the rosary! she had no authority for that and second she should have discussed it with immediate family before telling him that and she did not! When my adult children went to talk to her about it. She was completely rude to them as well. Then after rosary I was discussing times of mass and burial with my family and she walked in completely cut me off yelled out wrong times and walked away! I seriously was in shock at how we were being treated! And really don't understand what we did to deserve that especially a deacon!! Please please please everyone, if you can avoid dealing with her I recommend it or just take your loved one somewhere else! I asked for a manager to call me back about it and i couldn't even get that courtesy or respect!!! Very unprofessional! It breaks my heart that someone like Robbie Berg even works at a place that requires sympathy, respect, professionalism and courtesy because she has none of that!! I will be filing a complaint with this place!

What made it even more difficult is the fact that he passed, a week after his partner, also another terrible loss in our family. They had never been apart from one another and evidently, could never be apart. When we finally came to the decision to euthanize our pup, it was after witnessing the rapid decline of his health, and no longer wanting to see him suffer. We went to Vanguard/Thrive Pet on Redland Oaks since that was their main Vet. They advised us on the options available from Fond Memories. We ultimately chose the Cedar Urn / Private Cremation package. I did request their contact information, in the event I had additional concerns or to check on the timeframe we could expect to have his ashes home. I was informed by the vet it could take a few business days. About 3 days after his passing, I called into Fond Memories to check on the status of his ashes since I never received confirmation they had picked him up or the progress. Upon speaking to the lady on the call, I asked on the progress, her response was not compassionate and lacked empathy -- I also asked upon where to pick up his ashes, since it was not fully discussed at the vet and her response was "yeah, sure, it's up to you if you want to drive all the way to New Braunfels or you can just wait to pick him up at the vet". I rated it a three, solely because when I received his ashes back from the vet and his paw prints, the prints came out as I anticipated but the urn box did not contain his name instead a serial number.
