She made this difficult time simple and seamless. Her timing estimate for picking up my mom's cremains was on target. I am very appreciative of their services and assistance. I highly recommend them.

I chose Lux because of a recommendation from a hospital staff member and it's only a few minutes from my house. The 2 people that came to pick up my mom were kind and very professional. Kenny Lux called me the next day and he basically booked everything for her services right away. He coordinated with the church and even assisted in booking her reception. I met with him in person a few days later and we finalized everything. Every detail was discussed. My mom's services were impeccable. My mother was meticulous in how she looked and carried herself. She was beautiful and classy. Valerie did an absolutely outstanding job for her viewing. I'm convinced she could not have looked better. Valerie captured my mom's true essence. I have planned a funeral before (when my sister passed) using a funeral home in Houston and it was stressful. Lux made everything so easy. After her visitation and subsequent funeral Mass, our family got many compliments on how wonderful the services were. It's all thanks to Kenny Lux and his team. One thing that I didn't think about when choosing a funeral home is if your loved one will be cremated, many funeral homes will outsource a 3rd party company to carry out the cremation. Lux Funeral Home is full service. They have their own crematory, so my sweet mother was in the care of the same compassionate staff the whole time. I will forever be grateful to Kenny Lux, Valerie, and the other caring staff at Lux Funeral Home. I know my mother would be so pleased.

After a very rough and long process of trying to gather money and get ends tied up we still did not have enough for everything. We ended up making a 5 year payment plan with this cemetery, but they explained that no head stone could be placed until our debt is paid off and a temporary grave marker would only stay up for 90 days. The day of the burial after the graveside service we witnessed the lowering of the casket into his grave, we are paying for double depth so my mother can be buried there as well, but when we looked in it looked very shallow. I waited until after everyone had dispersed and then went to talk to three people who work for the cemetery standing graveside to voice my concern, which was met with confusion and finally someone saying that it is double depth and not to worry. Well we were right, it was not double depth and a woman called me at the reception to tell me that they pulled my fathers body up out of his grave to dig deeper and then placed him back. We were not given the opportunity to go back to the cemetery to witness the moving of his body and to make sure he was treated with respect. That was taken away from us and there's no way to ever be sure it was dug correctly and he was treated respectfully. We buried him on September 3rd, there is still no marker on his grave 10 days later. It is very hard to get ahold of anyone in the office, they've already taken his flowers off of his grave but it is still unmarked.

I HIGHLY recommend Funeral Caring USA…read more We have used Funeral Caring's services twice. Both were for relatives in another state. We could not have asked for more professionalism and support during these trying times. My husband and I, afterwards, set up pre-need services for ourselves to ease the burden on our children when the time comes. We were able to sit down and plan out OUR wishes and needs, 12 plus years ahead of time (and counting), when emotions are not running high and time pressures are on... Another bonus, the price is covered with their pre-paid program, no matter how much time goes by. Other friends and family have also taken advantage of their pre-need services to reduce the stress on their loved ones on our recommendation. It does give you peace of mind.

We met with Richard at the Bandera location, and he was kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. After notifying them of our mothers passing, we spoke with Nancy Powell, who was our funeral director. From the point of notification, every conversation with her was full of rudeness, a lack of empathy and compassion and lies. She takes no accountability for her actions and when I confronted her on some lies she told, it was just shrugs and an "Oh well", and crossed arms. She didn't even have the courtesy of showing up to our mom's funeral, not that I wanted her there. I've already made it very clear to Nancy that she is an unlikable person. I dont know how or why she interacts with the public when she makes it clear that she doesn't like people or her job. If she is assigned to your funeral, I would strongly recommend going to another company
