Good evening, I received a call from the service department  at Schepel Cadillac in Merrillville, IN on 12/17/24. The service man stated they were not able to duplicate the leak and were told to give me my truck back in this condition. I refuse to be stuck with a vehicle that leaks andcan't be repaired as those responsible for fixing it cant get to the root of the problem.  I was hopeful that GM would realize the truck being sold to me was defective and would prohibit their customers from driving such a hazard.  I fear for the safety of my family, electrical fires can potentially occur and well as mechanical disasters from these leaks. It is not my intent to bring negative light to all those who are not in control of the outcome but I must take a stand for what I know is not correct. I was told to pick it up as it was no longer leaking on 12/26/24 and after a good rain on 12/28 my truck was a running faucet. Update at 6:11pm I'm confused! This morning I was told by Ryan the General Manger he was deciding to end our business relationship as I had made a public complaint and he felt I was trying to ruin the reputation of Schepel. I was told my appointment for this Thursday was canceled and to find another dealership to repair my truck! I'm not sure if this post is delayed but nevertheless I've made other arrangements for my services. I think Jake in service is amazing, dedicated to customer satisfaction and very honest and I think the sales manager Gabe is awesome! It's not their fault as their hands are tired. So I took the CTS I just bought here because of a recall, thought it was serious because it said "ignition service needed" all they did was put a plastic insert in the key. When I went to leave my car didn't start, so I asked the service manager and he was a di*k about it and said "oh it'll start you just hav to mess with it, probably ECU going bad". It eventually started. He said it would be approximately $1700.00 to fix. Took it to a local repair shop and it was only $376.00 for a new starter. Took my car in because the dashboard lights light up with warnings. Was told it needed a battery as that was the first thing they check. They put the battery in and the cost was nearly $500 and $175 of that was for labor. Well that is a lot of money for labor for a couple of nuts to be removed and replaced. Should have went to local parts store where they install them for free and don't charge full rsp. on the battery. read more

When the vehicle came in they sold it to someone else, but told me "the factory cancelled the order", then when the second vehicle arrived they sold it out from under me again while my financing was getting approved. I broke down on the side of US 30 the other day in my Cadillac and OnStar called Schepel. Out to the spot without any delay and got they were there in 30 minutes. Fixed the tire immediately and gave me a receipt. I picked up the fixed tire the next day and they could not have been better. read more

My family has purchased three Cadillacs from Schepel, and the service has become so poor, that we will never purchase another one. My mom and my 1 1/2 year old daughter went in and spent $1900 over the course of two days. Today she spent $1000 of it in four brand new tires that Keith told her she needed. When they arrived, he said it wouldn't be long, he kept them waiting for almost three hours, and never once offered them a Loaner car. If you have ever had a 1 1/2 yr old daughter, then you can imagine how that went. I am extremely upset and irritated by the service that my mom received. It makes me wonder if she really even needed those tires to begin with. Very poor service from what should be a luxury dealer. read more

I bought my new 2017 Cadillac CTS carbon black package from Schepel and I have to say that I had a really great experience with them. They aren't overly aggressive which I appreciate! Our dealing went on for a couple of weeks which was due to an unforeseen circumstance but nonetheless Paul staid in constant contact with me to keep me updated. What I also found to be really nice was that they didn't try to up sell me on extended warranties, "special fabric coating or rust prevention" which I personally believe to be a hoax but that's just me. We were greeted by a guy that looked as though he was going to mow the lawn? His dockers were all frayed, shoes were stained and his attitude was as disheveled as his clothes. I have been to Lexus, BMW, Mercedes, etc and have had professionals dressed as though they were selling 40 to 100+ vehicles. This place has a good reputation, but is a throwback to the 1950's. Went to look at a new Cadillac, and was surprised to see that every single employee was caucasian. from the Office staff to the service and sales departments. Obviously owners never heard of nor care about diversity in the work place. Kind of surprising as this is a general motors agency and GM took government baillout money and should not permit this. Ended up discussing purchase with a salesperson that identified himself as Greek, and was proud of the fact that he kept a loaded gun in his office space! On the way out we were greeted by a manager with a southern accent who became indignant and angry when I spoke in our native language with my companion. The entire experience was very unsettling and I would never purchase a vehicle from people like this! read more

It was time to replace the four original Michelin tires on our 2008 Cadillac CTS4 with 73,000 miles on them. While the tire tread wear marker was not yet showing, the tires were getting to the point of slipping slightly on wet pavement. With winter snow coming, better tread was necessary for safety reasons. I made an appointment after determining Schepel Cadillac had them in stock. I had found a lower price quote from another business, but I wanted Schepel Cadillac to do the work because of the excellent service they provide, and Schepel matched the lower price. I brought my CTS in for service a number of weeks ago for general service and for a front end noise. I was treated very professionally. Unfortunately, the front end problem was not entirely fixed and I had to return the car. This time is was fixed appropriately and at no charge for the additional part and labor. They even washed the car before handing it over. While I was expecting push-back and an argument - this did not happen. They owned up to the issue and took care of it promptly.
