We had $1,500 to $1,800 quotes just to move the furnace over where it should have been and clean up the installation so I'll have to do it myself. We made the mistake of using this guy that Locke Supply recommended. The job was simple, install a new furnace in the closet below where the old furnace was so it wouldn't be installed in our hot attic. They had one job, they did it half-assed and failed. This job has lazy written all over it and the sad thing is that Dennis was there to oversee it and actually put his stamp of approval on it. At the time, we were just happy to have our AC running again but in hindsight, we should have made them fix it then and there. I guess at the time we were so flabbergasted at what we saw that we didn't want them in our house again. They were there way too long and thus was the result? Instead of putting the furnace all the way to the left side and leave us the ability to utilize the right side of the closet, they stuck it in such a way that we have about 2 feet of wasted space to one side. I can guarantee you if he did this in his own house, he would have done it correctly. The other thing I've noticed is the way they left the wiring with twist caps exposed and just hanging. The area around the top of the furnace was left open and he said that any drywaller should have no problem finishing that off. If the install wasn't half-ass, that may be true but there is no way to correctly finish this off. It would be a fire hazard. The other thing that really pisses me off is that they literally hacked into the nice plywood base I made for the intake. I guess that doesn't matter since I have to move the whole furnace over and I'll have to make a whole new sheet for a base anyways. Hopefully the pictures will show what a crappy, careless, unprofessional hack job this is. They even left the old dead furnace in place for me to disassemble and remove. By the way, it couldn't have taken but 10 minutes longer at the most to have done this correctly.

I was not home at the time, they waited for me to get there. As soon as I got there they got right to work fixing the noticeable issues with the door, rails, springs and cables. Water was gushing from the wall behind the shower which meant the whole system had to be shut down until it was fixed. Other plumbers we called were too busy with other spring time rush calls and we couldn't get anyone to help. Although Northridge was also busy they sent out a guy to make a temporary fix and stop the gushing, thus allowing us to open up the water system to the rest of the house. A few weeks later Northridge plumbers returned to make a permanent fix to the shower. These guys were personable, hard working, and efficient. They redesigned the slope on the faucet, to ensure the problem would not occur again. A second leak in a different place occurred a few days after the shower was fixed. They came out the same day and fixed it promptly. It's hard to get good plumbing services in the northwoods these days due to shortage of workers and too many cabin people needing services. My first choice is Northridge. I'm grateful for there presence and the help they provided to us this spring/summer. If you need great plumbing these are your guys.
