He proceeded to take quite a bit of time on the phone giving me advice on how to go about troubleshooting or attempting to fix an issue and giving me general advice that seemed super honest. The place is always clean and sometimes they offer sales and even contests where they give away stuff if you sign up to get notified. I haven't won anything yet but maybe I will eventually. They also have a big parking lot and lots of street parking available. Parking is free in the lot and on the street. They are located across from the Empire Center and not far from the 5 freeway.

He was professional and I really appreciated how carefully he evaluated my antique violin and bows. He repaired a couple top cracks, removed unnecessary old fillers, and made a custom bridge. He also trimmed and fitted the pegs, smoothed the fingerboard, and re-haired and cleaned up both of my bows. The body of the violin was also thoroughly cleaned and given some much-needed attention. What impressed me most was the quality of the work and the very reasonable price for everything that was done. He even sent me the picture of the inside which I had never seen before! It's was great to find someone with this level of experience and craftsmanship who is also honest, friendly, and fair with pricing. I just played my violin for the first time since getting it back and the sound has been restored to the beautiful brilliance I knew it to have. I'm very happy with the results and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled and trustworthy luthier.

The turn-around was quick and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend anyone looking to have a professional experienced luthier who knows his craft and doesn't try to upsell you on unnecessary work or upgrades. I started taking guitar lessons with Teri in January of this year. I played piano and french horn…read moregrowing up so I already knew how to read music, but I always wanted to play guitar and didn't have the discipline to learn it when I was younger. In the ~6 months I've been with Teri & Gerard, I've begun to learn how and why music works the way it does, and not just how to read what's written on the page. My lessons are completely customized based on what I want to learn. I have learned everything from scales and arpeggios to classical Spanish songs to improvising blues riffs. I can bring in a song, let Teri listen to it a bit, and then she'll teach me how to play it. It's amazing! They are honest and generous people and I really enjoy my weekly lesson. I've only bought one guitar from them when I started, but I wouldn't bother going anywhere else if I wanted another. I think their prices are more than reasonable and they've always been straightforward about how the lesson scheduling and prices work. Teri and Gerard have always been kind enough to give me free extra time on my lesson whenever it works out that way with scheduling, and they've given me great prices on any merchandise I've picked up. I highly recommend Teri and Gerard!
