Talk about amazing customer service... It's hard to find nowadays... I ordered this awesome hardware pack and I thought I would have to wait several days before receiving it... It was shipped quickly! And of course with this style and groove that only Pro Drum Shop can do! I live close enough, but I'm getting lazy, the last time I was there I bought some great gear while 'Dice' entertained the few of us that were there! Long live Jerry, Stan and Pro Drum Shop! read more

The best drum shop on earth. Everyone that works here is so knowledgeable and helpful. If you're in LA - this is the spot to go to. They'll always make sure you're taken care of and make you feel like you're a regular from your first visit. There's a reason all the legends went here and continue to go here. If I could give them more stars I would! read more

'Have been a happy Pro Drum customer since playing back in the 1970s, restoring vintage drums in the 1990s, and today. Bought new drums there, had gear customized and repaired, and always found rare and unique vintage treasures. There's no other drum shop on the planet with such a rich legacy, a veritable museum-worth of drumming history, and every possible percussion item you could ever imagine. Owners Stan and Jerry are both walking encyclopedias of drum knowledge and make the Prod Drum experience the absolute best! read more

If you need anything drum related and don't go to Professional Drum Shop, you are blowing it. It's family owned since 1959 and have the best, most knowledgeable staff. read more

Great store with a ton of history. The Drum Shop had a good selection of drum kits as well as accessories like cymbals and pedals at fairly competitive prices. The staff was friendly and helpful, did not bother you as you walk around (like some store do) but were there in case you needed anything or had any questions. They also had what looked like a wall full of drumsticks to choose from, it was pretty awesome (had I known we would be stopping by I would have picked up sticks there instead of ordering them online). Lots of parking nearby as well as behind the store. As soon as we walked up we heard someone playing the saxophone at the near by repair shop. Just an overall really cool place and a must check out! read more

Hands-down, the best drum shop in the world. Garret is such a pro and will set you in the right direction with whatever you need. The selection is unbelievable as is the service. Do yourself a favor and support a local business doing it right. read more

Pro Drums is where it's happening! They have everything you need and some stuff you may not need. But they got it! Stan and Jerry are 2 cool cats that can sell you a new kit, fix your old kit, wrap your old kit, if it pertains to drums, they do it. However, if it can't be done, they can't do it! Love me some Pro Drums !!!!!! read more

This shop is a drummer's dream! I've loved coming to Pro Drum shop since I was a young teen. My amazing drum teacher Kay Carlson (who is so missed) first recommended it to me and I've been a customer ever since. They sell drums, cymbals, and accessories (vintage and new), and fix equipment. Incredibly knowledgeable staff and fantastic selection. Parking lot around the back. Stop by and support this legendary local shop! read more

There is no better shop of any kind that I'm aware of. Friendly and helpful proprietors, unbeatable history. Loads of cool new stuff and a few corners to dig through for vintage finds. Worth the trip just to look at the pix on the walls & shoot the breeze. I've been going there for almost 40 years and I'll never go anywhere else for drum gear, and never will - period. read more

Stan Keyawa was there to help me along with Chris and Garrett. A Saturday and it was hopping. They treated every customer with care, attention and kindness. Really THE place for drummers. I have been playing drums since I was 9 and when I lived in LA I would frequent PRO DRUM SHOP for years. I'm 65 and still do what I love. I recently made an online purchase for an LP product since I now live in the desert. Tom took my call and helped me greatly with his World Class Customer Service....there is a reason this place has been around for decades, they have everything a drummer needs, with great service. There is no need to shop anywhere else...and I do mean anywhere. Thank you Tom. read more

One of the best drum shops ever! The real deal. Especially in repairs or work that you need done on vintage gear. There is no better

They're an LA institution if you play music. 1/2 drum shop, 1/2 museum, and 1/2 hang.

The name says it all: these guys have been around forever and they're knowledgeable and very cool. I've been a customer for more than 40 years and keep coming back. Jerry a great guy fun to talk to, and they have everything, including the ability to repair or customize just about anything, at reasonable prices. Can't say enough good stuff about Pro Drum, and the real players know it too. read more

60 years old and still going strong, professional drum shop is not just for drummers, but for any music aficionado who knows about the illustrious history of LA session musicians in the sixties 70s and early 80s. You can feel the history here and imagine what it must have been like for Hal Blaine to come here in the Heyday and pick up some gear. Located next to Stein on Vine and across the street from the former Musicians Union Building, Pro Drum Shop is a spot I recommend to any music history fan. it's definitely worth a visit. read more

THE BEST!! Stan and Jerry are like family... a drummer named ART WOOD showed me where PRO DRUM was back in 1973.... And in the years following I wouldn't know how much stuff I bought there... there are worse hobbies than restoring vintage drums... I was so obsessed with LUDWIG I can't even describe it... STAN in particular was so friendly and kind to me from age 20 through about 30... I'll never forget that time period in the late seventies... I consider them FRIENDS... not just a drum shop. I'm back in Arizona again... but I'll be back... read more

I moved to Los Angeles in February of 1988. The first piece of drum equipment I bought was a Ludwig Hammered Bronze 6.5" X 14" Snare Drum from Pro Drum Shop. Just today I took a broken DW 5000 drum pedal from Venice Church in Venice, CA to see if they had a screw that fit to keep the chain on the base and to pick up some drum sticks. I was hooked up in 15 minutes. While I was waiting I had the joy and opportunity to meet and talk with Marvin "Smitty" Smith who is a drummer's drummer and may be best known as the drummer from Jay Leno's Tonight Show. At the time I knew he looked familiar but wasn't quite sure from where until someone said his name. Then it clicked. I love drummers. There is no ego at this store. Everyone shares this passion and they are happy to share it with their customers. There are good people here selling great gear. Thanks guys! read more

If you are a drummer, or even just a music lover, you definitely have to check this place out. It's like stepping into the past, 1959 to be exact. Coolest old school drum shop in Hollywood, no the world! I can only imagine the drummers who have been through it in the past 60 years. They have several really cool drum kits for sale and ones just to look at, almost like a museum! It's small but full, they have pretty much everything you need drum wise, even a repair area, and they are super helpful. Also tons of parking in the back, you don't find that in Hollywood. read more

Such an awesome place to come as a drummer. I've had at least 2 issues with drum hardware that they fixed in no time for cheap. They're always happy to help and talk shop and get you whatever you need. I teach drums at 2 schools in Los Angeles and I always recommend students to come here for all their drum needs. Such a cool place with great history, stories and great clients. read more

This is the place to go for Drums. They're celebrating 50 years this year, and though I've only been twice, it's proven to be memorable and awesome. I really tested them this time: Brought in two youngish kids who have an interest in drumming. Nothing more concrete than that. I was determined to buy no set whatsoever. MAYBE a practice pad and sticks but that's IT. The kids played a lot, and this was not completely shunned, but they weren't bad. LOL. Really, they let 'em go awhile until we got the hook. We still squandered another hour just poking around and investigating/observing. It was fun. The kids had fun. I got some great video to boot. Stan is one of the owners and is nice, cool and of course knowledgeable. If the kids practice and start taking lessons, we will be back for some implements of loud percussion. read more

Whether you're a seasoned pro, beginner, or anywhere in-between, Pro Drum is your shop. Jerry, Stan, and all the staff are fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Their prices are competitive with the giants and Internet retailers. Added bonus: 51 years in business, have their own service and mod department, and they carry pretty much every line in the drum universe. Even if you don't live in SoCal, you should still shop at Pro Drum. read more

This a great and one of the few shops that specializes in anything drums. Unlike larger cooperate music stores, Pro Drum Shop actually knows their products and don't sell anything you don't need. They carry small company brands to well known brands. As an artist, I'm glad to see that they stocked up on companies outside the U.S. like, Los Cabos Drumsticks. A wonderful high quality Canadian drumstick company. Which I picked up some specialty drumstick brushes at the store. Anything drum related, you can find here. read more

Best drum shop ever! Been coming here for over 10 years Jerry always takes care of you and treats you nice. It's a great place with an awesome selection of stuff you can't find other places! For example, they typically have these square SKB snare cases I love, you can't find them anywhere else! I've literally never seen one any place in the world in the last 20 years except Professional Drum Shop! Thanks for being around we're lucky to have a drum shop like this in Hollywood! Especially on the fly when you need something quick, you end up finding more than you needed. This place is like a candy store for drummers! read more

I live in San Diego and will cheerfully make the 2 1/2 hour drive - no, pilgrimage - to the Drummer's Holy Ground. It's where I go to renew, rejoice, and maybe find some small percussion I don't already have. Professional Drum Shop has what you need. They have it right *there*, they have it in 12 sizes. And it's been waiting just for YOU for ages. I went there in the 70's with a buddy from LA Phil who needed a small triangle. When I asked where the triangles were, I was told, "They're in the top three drawers of that cabinet over there". Drum heads from Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Harvey Mason ... you name it, this isn't just a mere store, it's a cultural record! read more
