This past weekend I participated in a private hunt with Scavenger Hunt DC as part of a bachelorette party and it was awesome! Pricing was also very reasonable for our party of 9. We all downloaded the app used for the hunt prior to arrival and brought back-up phone chargers (great idea!). It was arranged for us to meet with our guide (Aaron) in one of the museums on the national mall. Once there, he took a picture of our group and we split into teams. Each team elected a captain and Aaron gave us instructions (e.g. no cheating, teams must stay together, etc.). The hunt is entirely picture based, so instead of one clue leading to another, the goal is to take pictures of as many items on the list as possible. There were over 200 items and 2 hours for the hunt, so it would have been impossible to get them all, which kept the hunt exciting. The required pictures were a mix of items (e.g. something purple, or a particular statue in a museum) and activities (take a picture of a team member sitting on a picnic blanket with strangers). A fun bonus, Aaron sent out a few time-sensitive challenges throughout the game. Meaning, the team to complete the challenge and send him a picture first would be awarded 250 points and the second team would lose 100 points. This definitely kept us on our toes! The app also allowed teams to check in on the progress of the rival team and see their pictures/points. At the end of the two hours, both teams reconvened at the same museum where we started. Aaron met us and asked us questions about some of our more impressive (high point value) photos. He also tallied the points and announced the winning team. Aaron was professional, explained everything thoroughly, and had a good sense of humor. The next day, he emailed us a link to a google drive folder of pictures and each was individually named for the clue that was captured in the picture. Nothing more stressful than arranging an event for a group of attorneys but this was the perfect event. We had a mix of attorneys and their families, and everyone seemed to have a blast. We had lunch following our hunt and throughout lunch people were talking about the event. After lunch we did a hunt at the Spy Museum, which was horrible compared to the one we did in the morning with this group. I highly recommend any group looking for something fun to do as a group book a hunt. Aaron was our guide. He was awesome before, during, and after the event. He also was able to answer all our questions before arriving in DC. read more

HIGHLY recommend! Aaron and team do their homework and know their stuff. The hunt is done digitally and the app is super easy to use. Start out will instructions being clearly explained, photos taken (after the event as well), and on our way. They will make the hunt as short or long as you'd like. Our group of 12 (split into two teams of six) spent 2.5-3 hours traversing Old Town Alexandria on a hot and beautiful day. I actually could have kept on going it was so much fun! They are happy to tailor the hunt to a location of your choosing (thus ours being in Old Town). All the clues have specific instructions, e.g., two team members need to be in the shot, or asking strangers to be part of the picture, finding innocent things like a baby stroller or a pet, etc. and points are awarded anywhere from (I believe) 10-300. I will definitely recommend to anyone looking for a scavenger hunt activity, and will definitely use when we plan an event again! read more

This hunt was loads of fun. If you want to be silly, have fun, dance, go to places you've never been, get strangers to participate and basically embarass yourself in public, you've come to the right place! Using an app to load up all your pics and videos makes it easy to work as a group. Aaron was a great monitor, giving us extra points for extra effort and deducting where we missed the mark. Our group had a total of 13 players and 3 teams. While you can do this with just 4 or 5 people, its fun to compete against teams of friends. read more

We used Scavenger Hunt DC for the Association of Maternal & Child Health all staff retreat day and it was so much fun! We had a large group of 27 staff participate in the scavenger hunt. Everything from contracting to reasonable pricing to great guidance the day of the event went flawlessly. This was our first scavenger hunt together and I wasn't sure what to expect. Aaron & company made the process so easy, all we had to do was show up and have a great time! The app was easy to use for all staff. We also had a number of special circumstances (like staff who needed light activity, nursing mothers, etc.) and the hunt could easily be modified for those situations. We have so many great photos and videos of staff that we'll be using in the future as well. Scavenger Hunt DC was also perfect for a staff retreat, with a healthy mix of team building, problem solving, lots of laughter, and team competition. I highly recommend Aaron and Scavenger Hunt DC. We had a fantastic time. We took a group of 25 people but I can see how this could scale well up or down. The hunt was very well organized and the instructions and rules were very clear. Afterward everyone was talking about what fun it was, that it was "awesome". Having the pictures afterwards was a great way to capture the event naturally and we had a lot of fun looking back through the pictures as well. read more
