This is one of my favorite donut combinations. And these at Scarlet's were by far the absolute best I have ever had. No one comes close. Shoot! I'd drive back to Tupelo for a box of them. :-). I also found the shop to be very clean and neat. The service was very good. They were well staffed and ready to quickly handle the rush of customers at 7 o'clock in the morning. I am so glad we shared the dish because it was a lot and very filling. Now the restaurants famous sauce that is made fresh every day is worth its weight in gold. Our server has been there a very long time and she said she is the gal who makes it daily. I can't really explain the taste but it is very, very tasty.
