    Overload Burger - no tomatoes!
    Scott B.

Visited Scaleburgers for the very first time today (7/6/24) with some friends. Ordered the Overload burger which was absolutely delicious. I expressed my gratitude to the young ladies who prepared my meal in sweltering conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. My burger was moist and the condiments were fresh and added a nice touch to my sandwich. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for good food at a reasonable price (I paid $15 for the burger and a medium drink). Scott D. Blount Covington, WA

This place is fine - I pass through this area every week and stop by infrequently. For a better drive-in spot I prefer HUFF 'N' PUFF on Highway 12. At Scale Burgers you order at the window of the shack and the service is usually pretty quick but there can be a wait depending on when you catch them. Once you receive your meal you can sit at the picnic tables they have around or take to your car. The Classic Burger is a backyard style burger, it's tasty but there's nothing too special about it. It's overpriced for what it is and given how casual this place is. They're only open during the summer, so I guess they have to make their money on the tourists to/from Mt. Rainier during the summer to last them throughout the year. If you're passing by, it's a serviceable burger but don't go out of your way to get it.

I have to say that this place is incredible. I was so happy to see a family hamburger stand. I was really happy with my double burger with bacon and cheese. The ladies working there were great too. Your order is a card out of a normal deck of playing cards and they yell it out when it is ready. Take the time to go to this place and have some great food, served by real people !!!

Right near Rainier national park. Overall just OK, but still hit the spot after a day of hiking in the rain. Outdoor seating only.

We did take some time to wait before seated, to get our food and to get our bill, I guess it was understandable since it was a holiday weekend, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had the train wreck burger, at least I could say it's worth the wait. It was loaded with meat. The pulled pork was really flavorful with tangy BBQ sauce. Highly recommend to meat lovers. I also love my ginger ale, it was definitely the most spicy ginger ale (in a good way) I've had. The only thing I want to complain is the tip option actually starts from 20%, in this economy? Restaurant owners, stop being pity and pay your staff a decent basic salary.

Food was so greasy and bad, no flavor in the pulled pork, and putting lettuce and tomato on a pulled pork sandwich just shows you don't understand the concept. The fries were cold and limp, completely inedible. And they are WAY understaffed, which means you wait a really long time for the terrible food. And then they are running a bar and a pizza place, along with rooms for rent. Maybe pick one thing and do it better? I get that you're a family business with a legacy, and I hate to knock you, but you gotta make some adjustments.

But first, let's make like Marty McFly and go back in time. My bud says let's go meet up for burgers and brew. I'm like, "Sure, don't gotta ask me twice." And off we went. My mind was blown by all the things in such close proximity of each other... I mean like a parking lot closeness. We got some serious grub burgers, with a brewery next door to enjoy said tasty meat patties. With a distillery in the back/front, and a wine or tea bar on the other side. You don't have to go far to stumble or crawl. Ok... moving forward... back to Burger Buds! I had no idea this was the original truck or location. I live out in the Maple Valley area, and we frequent that burger buds often. However, every time I go, I always want to try a new burger. And the Wenatchee was calling my name. Something about crisp Washington apples and cheese just sounded good with some candied bacon. C'mon son! Not to mention their fries! We ordered our food, found a place to sit down inside the brewery, ordered some cider, and once the food was ready, we just sat and hung out and enjoyed conversation. This is a perfect location! So hats off to the owners of Burger Buds and Headworks Brewery for their joint adventure! Thank you for the experience and as always, enjoy and found a new Happy Place!

First, the girl who helped me was incredibly kind, helpful, and just effortlessly welcoming (also--stunning, which matched the whole vibe of the place). The food? Genuinely top tier. The mushroom Alfredo was hands down the best I've had in my life. I've actually tried recreating it since I got home and... humbling experience. Not even close. The macarons were perfect, the stump cake is ideal if you want dessert without it being overly sweet, and the cheese Danish tasted way more authentic than the usual overly sugary versions (definitely not your typical Starbucks situation). Everything was hearty, filling, and just really, really good. One of those places you randomly stop at and then think about later like... wait, why was that so good? Would absolutely go back.

Great flavors and textures, the meats were all nicely done (tender and flavorful), and the soup was delicious. So if you could just get the food to go, I'd recommend this place...but definitely not for dining in. First off, I've worked in a restaurant and in retail, so I really value and respect great customer service. I also understand that summer is a busy season here -- and with two servers and one hostess, everyone was working hard. That said, you could still have good service while being busy. In our case, the servers just never seemed friendly. One of their first comments was that our tip would automatically be included given our party size -- which, in our case, was $50 that they didn't deserve. Receiving "service" from the staff is a generous comment. Doing the bare minimum for us seemed to be painful for them. Most of our food (minus two dishes) came out at the same time, and then we had to ask for napkins and silverware. We didn't want to keep asking our server for things since she was so busy, so we held off from asking for the last two dishes. But when the rest of us were close to finishing our meals, we finally brought it up -- to three people. One person said she'd check since she was heading to the kitchen; she came back out a minute later and walked right past our table. Finally the third person we asked said the kitchen was JUST starting to make the dishes, "because the restaurant has been so busy," she said. Odd, given that we got all our other dishes 30-40 minutes prior, and other people who came later were being served. There was no apology at all. One dish came out and 15 minutes later, our server asked if we still wanted the last dish. We said no. Meanwhile, we also needed more water. I watched a server giving refills at each table around ours. She made eye contact with me and then walked past our table to refill other tables. Same kind of treatment when we asked for the bill. I'm just appalled by the poor customer service, which was mentioned in a few other reviews. That experience overshadowed the good food and beautiful setting.

It's a really tiny little trailer, so I understand they're working with limited space, but having cars loop around in what feels like a figure-eight can be chaotic. People get impatient, start honking, and it's easy to accidentally cut someone off without realizing it. They're just burgers, people--everyone needs to relax a little! That said, despite how busy it was, the line moved surprisingly fast. I ordered a double cheeseburger with everything, a side of onion rings, and a black raspberry shake. The shake was fantastic--definitely a highlight of the meal. The burger was also really good: flavorful, fresh, and exactly what I was hoping for. The only disappointment was the onion rings. They were incredibly greasy--so much so that they actually upset my stomach. I'm not sure if that's typical, but I probably wouldn't order them again. Next time I'd give the fries a try instead. One thing that really stood out was the pricing. It's refreshing to find a place that still offers fair prices when it feels like everything else costs an arm and a leg these days. Overall, I'd definitely come back. The burger and shake were worth it, and as long as I skip the onion rings, I think it'll be a solid meal.
