We ordered almost half the menu due to coming with a large party. Good thing they have plenty of parking! While waiting, I noticed there's actually stuff to do and look at. I ventured off to the fruit stand to buy some cheap baskets of surprisingly amazing quality fruit. The food came out reasonably fast for what we ordered. ​I can't say much about the service, as it's a walk up window style establishment that doesn't have indoor dining. It's actually pretty small, with barely enough room for the workers and all their supplies. Hats off to those people for making it happen! So yeah, not much customer service besides the ordering and pickup. They all seemed fairly professional and pleasant, in my opinion. ​Was the food worth it? Yes. The prices were okay not cheap, but not pricey either. I got a decent amount of food for what I paid. My burger wasn't very pretty, but it had a nice balance of simple flavors. I devoured it about as fast as I could. The fries were super salty, crunchy, and mushy all at the same time, and I loved it. I expressed my gratitude to the young ladies who prepared my meal in sweltering conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. This place is fine - I pass through this area every week and stop by infrequently. For a better drive-in spot I prefer HUFF 'N' PUFF on Highway 12. At Scale Burgers you order at the window of the shack and the service is usually pretty quick but there can be a wait depending on when you catch them. Once you receive your meal you can sit at the picnic tables they have around or take to your car. The Classic Burger is a backyard style burger, it's tasty but there's nothing too special about it. It's overpriced for what it is and given how casual this place is. They're only open during the summer, so I guess they have to make their money on the tourists to/from Mt. Rainier during the summer to last them throughout the year. If you're passing by, it's a serviceable burger but don't go out of your way to get it. read more

Left Mt. Rainier and saw this little spot on the way in wanted to stop as the railroad dinning was a little slower and short staffed! The sauce on the burger is their fry sauce, which is a lightly seasoned mayo and matched well with the burger and onion rings (breaded not battered, very good). We rode motorcycles there and got there at 11:50. Everybody went to different places to eat and agreed to meet back at the rally point at 1pm to leave. About 6 of us tried Scale Burgers. I ordered a deluxe burger and strawberry shake it it took 75 minutes to get it!!! It was 1:10 when I got my food and it was mediocre at best. I've NEVER had to wait that long for food! It was the only place in Elbe I've never tried before and it's the last time I'll go there. $13 for a burger and shake and the wait was miserable! read more

My grandfather told me this was his favorite place to eat burgers with his friends when he was young and in the area. He especially hyped up the fries. Staff was very friendly and recognized that we were Germans and switched immediately to German language (she is coming from Darmstadt). Small but nice menue. We stopped here on the way out of Mt Rainier because the last time we came, the food and service were great and it's a cute little spot. This time was none of those things. We were quoted a 25 minute wait for our food. When we got it, the fries were cold. The burgers are not worth the money paid. They are small and don't taste amazing. The redeeming factor was the shakes. The workers continually told people it was a 45 minute wait even after several people left due to the quoted wait. My grandparents had been bringing their friends here for years and we finally were able to stop and experience Scaleburger coming back from Mount Rainier. Cash only so be prepared and picnic tables all around with umbrellas. We were not disappointed at all! Yes the prices are high but they are a small business and it is expensive to run a small business these days in the middle of nowhere. First off, the prices. It's my thought that maybe they're capitalizing off of being the only burger joint for miles. Either way, it's not justified in the food. It's condiments tasted old and did nothing to improve the burger itself.
