We ended up purchasing a new Sealy Posturepedic Elite Hybrid. We verified they would ship to our house in Illinois. No issues or so we thought..... The shipment arrived and the order had to be returned due to multiple items being damaged and filthy. The store manager reached out to corporate and the regional manager to check policies on resolving the issue. Corporate said refund them and tell them to buy it somewhere else. The regional manager said they would only reship the mattress and they didn't know when they would ship it. We purchased the bed as a mattress, box springs and mattress cover and the corporate and regionals managers responses were basically we don't care about your business. We had the entire order refunded and we will never return to a Big Sandy Superstore again. The only reason this review is getting a two star is because Tim (salesmen) and the store manager (Eric) were understanding to our issue and frustration. However, I had an exceptionally terrible experience there this morning. I mean -5 stars awful. I was looking around for something that I have previously purchased here maybe 2 months ago. A girl named Melody was sitting at the desk kind of in the middle of the store and kindly asked if I was looking for something. I explained to her what I was looking for and that I remembered it being around these aisles on the very bottom right hand side. I wasn't able to explain the product as well as I wanted to because I couldn't remember the name of it. So, I pulled it up and showed her a photo of the box. To preface, I have been in customer service for 22 years so I have an understanding of what is acceptable/not acceptable when helping guests, ESPECIALLY polite and kind guests like I was. I showed her the photo and she abruptly said "Yeah, we don't have that here. I said, "Really? I just bought maybe 5 or 6 boxes from here" And this is how the rest of the conversation went.. "You didn't get it here." "I know for sure I got it here. I purchased it myself" "Maybe you had it shipped to store" "No, I didn't. I just happened upon them and picked some up" "When?" "Maybe 2 months ago" "I've been here since August and I'm telling you we've never had that. Here, I'll just look it up" "Oh, it looks like we do have it. It's in aisle 20whatever she said. We actually have 2 in stock" I was completely silent and we walked to the aisle and I started grabbing what I needed. I asked her for her name and she said Melody. Then I went silent again and she started *really* overcompensating awkwardly with attempting kindness after I asked her name. Saying things like, "Well, I'm so happy I know we have this now, this isn't my department, I have never seen these before, you might wanna grab all 3 boxes (instead of the 2 I needed)." Just really uncomfortably rambling because she knew how rude she just was to me. We are walking back and she is very insistent on helping me further. I asked for wood filler because I too feel uncomfortable now. She shows me, I thank her, and she asked if she could find anything else for me. I responded with "Absolutely not." and walked off, genuinely upset about being talked to with such poor attitude and accusatory behavior. Just rude as all get out. I've never called a manager to complain but I think I will. I was super dissatisfied with my entire trip except for the lady at the checkout line. Do better, Melody.

Best Buy has completely outsourced appliance delivery and installation to a third party called Install Inc., and the result is an absolute disaster. We scheduled a dishwasher delivery and install for Monday, July 6th, with an 8:45am-11:45am window. NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP. NO CALL. NO TEXT. NOTHING. When we contacted Best Buy afterward, the phone rep could not get in touch with anyone at Install Inc. despite numerous attempts. I asked to escalate and was promised a callback with a new delivery time. THAT CALLBACK NEVER CAME -- FROM ANYONE AT BEST BUY. We called back hours later. Same result -- still no contact with Install Inc. The rep gave us a "super secret" direct number to try ourselves. After 45 MINUTES ON HOLD, I finally reached someone -- who HUNG UP ON ME FIVE MINUTES IN, presumably because they had no answers to give. Back to Best Buy we went, only to be told the best they could do was reschedule TWO WEEKS OUT. TWO WEEKS! We had already waited over 10 DAYS for an appointment no one honored, and instead of being prioritized, we were PUT BACK AT THE END OF THE LINE. To add insult to injury, THERE IS NO WAY TO EVER REACH ANYONE AT THE ACTUAL STORE BY PHONE -- your only option is to physically walk in. We did. The manager was sympathetic and admitted this has been an ONGOING, KNOWN issue with Install Inc., one they claim to have flagged to "leadership" repeatedly. Yet nothing has changed. In the end, we hired someone through Thumbtack to pick up, deliver, and install the dishwasher ourselves -- at a HIGHER COST than the $180 Best Buy was charging. We requested a $120 CREDIT to cover the difference, plus compensation for the enormous waste of time and frustration. WE ARE STILL WAITING! BOTTOM LINE: DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR -- DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BEST BUY THAT NEEDS A DELIVERY/INSTALL.
