Our neighbor had us use SC Fence to replace our old wood fence with vinyl. After they were done, we had horrible water leaking from them completely destroying the irrigation lines and the pouring concrete right through the bend. I spoke to them at that point and their response was belittling. Now two years later, I have a sprinkler head that finally popped up (we bought our house four years ago, so not all certain where our sprinkle heads were). They completely buried the head in concrete for the post of the gate. The concrete has never been able to dry properly as the head has just leaked water underground until it finally came up this week. This is infuriating. How do you not see a sprinkler head that you dug a hole out for? How do you just pour concrete over it? read more

I can't give any stars to the company that can't even make to an appointment give a quote. From the beginning, Michelle and I played phone tag for a couple days before we spoke and set an appointment. They missed their first Friday 4:30 appointment. Not good, but maybe something happened. I called Monday and here is what Michelle told me: "I told the guy that one of his appointments cancelled. He cancelled the wrong one." Yep. That's what she said. See the problem? Michelle was nice and apologetic and I still needed the quote, so we rescheduled for the next Friday at 4:30. I did not participate in an afterschool event to make sure I would be home. SC Fence was a no show again. No phone call, nothing. I called at 4:33. No answer. I waited 45 minutes. Nothing. I called Exclusive Fence that Friday, at 4:45. They showed up the next day and gave me a good bid on the spot. I also got a bid from Riverside Fence who made their appointment time as well. If you are the owner of SC Fence you missed out on a bid to replace 280 feet of chain link with wood fence. There was a section of low wall needed too. read more

They get two stars because the wood fence they installed looks good. Unfortunately that is where the good work ends. We purchased redwood fencing and not all of the wood is redwood, to be honest that is not even what upsets me. The fact that they destroyed a lot of my yard, threw their trash (food and beverage trash) into my yard and left it, didn't clean up the construction mess, and completely destroyed my whole house (front and back) irrigation system. When we called the company to come repair our water pipes (as they initially agreed too) the front office was very combative and belittling. Every point that they dug new holes for the posts they both ran right threw all the water lines completely destroying them and then poured cement over it. Two of the lines are so deep I can't understand how this happened. We had to pay for three new lines at 82 feet long- each. We also had to pay for the repair of all the damage they did to our yard. Add that to the cost of the fence and we paid way too much. And the fact we had to clean up their food mess is very annoying. Months later the gap between each slat is at least a half inch wide, obviously we can see straight throw into our neighbors yard. I am not sure they used quality wood. Although I do expect some gapping to occur I didn't expect it to happen so fast and so wide. We once again pulled out our wallets to pay for more wood to ensure our neighbors have privacy. I am still confused as to why they would see an irrigation system and choose to pour cement over it. I don't understand why they didn't speak to use about it first. read more

I am disappointed in SC Fence for complete lack of follow through on a repeat customer opportunity. We received a refreshed quote, increased in price, for the last side of our vinyl fence & coordinated the project with our adjoining neighbor. Michelle told us, via e-mail, that she was waiting for our neighbor to confirm, yet our neighbor had already spoken to SC Fence directly. I have lost track of the # of times I have left unreturned voice mail & e-mail messages in the past 2 1/2 weeks trying to get our project status confirmed. I wouldn't recommend this company. They are basically done with you once they collect their money. We are a corner house and have a pool. I asked them how it works when they do new fencing around the entire yard. Michelle was uncertain. I explained that I felt it was important to do the street side first as we would be totally exposed to all neighbors and traffic. We have a lot of patio items that could be stolen. Also with us having a pool it could potentially be dangerous. She stated when that was the case they put up temporary fencing. That didnt happen. They tore down all fencing on all sides of the house. They left all the old fencing on the lawn and sidewalk on the street side overnight (nails and all). They left our yard completely exposed and a mess. All the new fencing wood was left right on the patio (street side) where anyone could see it and steal it. They left tools everywhere. They left their wheel barrels full of wet cement. I phoned and texted and got no response. When I asked one of the workers where the temporary fence was, he told me Michelle didn't say anything about it. We had to move all patio items into our garage. Then we wrapped caution tape over the metal rods in hopes it would prevent anyone from coming into our backyard and falling into our pool. Once they finished the job, they again, left a mess. We found tons of nails in the grass. We found cement in the plant beds. There was nails missing from several fencing boards. They ruined part of our concrete on our patio by spilling some cement on it and never washing it off. I spoke to Michelle when she asked to come collect their money and asked her if she would send John out to look at all the issues. She said he normally doesn't do this. I said it was necessary. When he came over he said he didnt know about the temporary fencing. He also said while they are in the process of doing fences even when they go home everything stays a mess. He offered to have some of his guys come out ans clean the plant beds but I just said it wasn't necessary. I showed him several areas of concern with the fence boards and he just said thats how it is. Before he left he did say some boards may warp or get weird, he said it happens but to just let them know abut any problems and they'd come fix them. We have found several pieces of bad wood. Some have huge knot holes that have fallen out. We have boards that have cracked. I contacted Michelle about the first hole. She asked me to send a picture so I did. I sent it on June 8th. I sent a few texts since and I've gotten no responses. i was nothing but kind to them. I always figure best to be nice even when you feel you're being treated wrong. I try to give people the opportunity to fix issues. They took their money and are done. So, if you decide to hire them know this, make sure you get everything you want repaired done before you pay them and get in writing whatever John and Michelle tell you they'll do. They don't answer their calls and dont reply to text messages once they consider the job done. Extremely poor customer service. I should've looked at their reviews and 3.5 stars before I hired them. read more

I hired this company to install several hundred feet of fencing plus several gates. They can out as scheduled and did all the work agreed upon. After a few weeks, the gates they built from PVC split rail rails and posts began to warp. After several contacts plus photos sent, a crew came out to inspect. They verified that all gates had same issue, and repaired one. Their explanation for not repairing the others was that they want to see if their fix was successful after a couple weeks in the sun, etc. Plus they didn't have the necessary materials to do the others. Since that time, which has been several months now, I've left message multiple times with no response. These guys build decent fences but unfortunately don't stand by their work if anything goes wrong. read more

He knew his stuff! After talking with him, I was very happy with the type of vinyl fencing they use and their reasons for using it. Their work was immaculate, building within my current fence on two sides because I couldn't get neighbor approval (within an HOA). These guys are the BEST! I looked at several fences around the neighborhood before choosing SC Fence. They use the best materials. Not the cheap crap that you get a the big box stores. They source their material from industrial suppliers and it shows. The SC Fence crew showed up on time at our home and got right to work. As a matter of fact they had the old fence torn down and removed so fast, I wasn't able to recover some of the scrap lumber to use for a few of my projects. Oh well. They installed about 100 lineal ft of fence and a 4' wide gate in the front of my house in 1 day! WOW! They were clean and courteous and left the yard clean and neat. I can't overstate how phenomenal Domingo and his crew were on installation day. From Michele in the office and John the estimator, we received nothing but the best communication and customer experience. I am an older lady, a window, and very careful about the companies I choose to do work around my home. This company provided the most professional and exceptional fencing at a very reasonable price. They removed my old rotten fencing, installed a beautiful new PVC fence and even removed my rotten trees for me in less than 4 hours! They cleaned up every scrap of old wood, trees,leaves, everything and didn't leave a trace of their ever being there except for the beautiful new fence!
