Got 3 bids from different companies but because of the estimator, David, who made me feel comfortable while talking and explained each step of the process so, I went with Ross Fence Inc. The crew was here sharp had the old fencing down and installed the posts. After thier lunch break, they busted thier tails to get done. They even used a magnet deal to make sure all nails and screws were picked up so that no one would get hurt. They will be back on Monday to replace the gate to the back yard and remove all the old fence. Very great work, prompt and accurate and also very level. I reached out to this company to request an estimate for a fence project. They initially responded, but after that I never received a follow-up call or scheduling information. I waited and tried to give it time, but no one ever contacted me to come out for the estimate. I understand companies get busy, but basic communication goes a long way. We needed new gates and since we had used Ross about 10 years ago to replace my fence, we called them. David came out the next day and gave us an estimate and a time frame for installation. There was a unavoidable delay in the original install date, but David and the Ross office team communicated with us every step of the way, so that we weren't left wondering what was going on. When the crew came out to remove the old gates and prep the site for the new gates, they noticed that a stretch of our fence was also in need of replacement. So they added that to the estimate and the work order. The crew worked effciently and respected not only our property but that of the neighbors. The gates and new stretch of fence look great. I am appalled at the craftsmanship and the attitude of this company. The day they were supposed to work on the fence they had to reschedule- fine. But they weren't professional about it. When they did show up- not only did they do poor work but they accidentally drilled a hole into our kitchen, an issue my dad fixed himself. They did give us a discount afterward - but only because my family called to complain. With all the obviously shoddy aspects of the fence, my dad called to complain a third time. The owner of the company said to my dad "what are you, a fence genius?" Actually yes, my dad is a great craftsman and knows perfectly how to build a fence - he wanted to pay the hefty price because he wanted professionals to do it quickly and efficiently. Ross Fence replaced a small section of cap & trim redwood fence that had been ravaged by termites. It did take a few weeks of going back and forth to get a bid and the job scheduled, but that's par for the course during this time of Covid19. I've dealt with a lot of contractors the last few months and they're all very busy & scheduled weeks/months out. The worst customer service I have every experienced and they do not deserve my business or anyone else's!! I called a few times to schedule an appointment for an estimate on my fence that was damaged. I never got a call back. Rude and unprofessional. Said the Owner (Glen?) needed a lot more information other than the address. He only works a few hours. When I called again the young lady told me they didn't call back because the owner said I didn't give them enough information. What! Terrible customer service. I scheduled for someone to come to our house and provide an estimate and they never showed. I called to inquire about what happened and was brushed off by the elderly lady who answered the phones, possibly the receptionist or owner not sure. Also they do not accept any credit card payments. do not listen to these reviews. I just had Ross Fence come to install my vinyl fencing on the side of our house. I had them come first thing in the morning; they were on time. David, the owners son came, waited for the workers to arrive. I talked with him first; he is very nice, and listens to your questions. His worker, Antonio was excellent, and did a wonderful job being sure that the fencing fit just right. The owner, Glenn, of the company was very nice when I had called him in the first place to tell him I wanted to have a side fence put in. They had previously put in our fencing on the other side of the house 3 or 4 years ago, and I was pleased when that work had been completed. My Ross fence experienced sucked. I came in on June 30 to purchase a wall mount butterfly chain length fence latch. I was sold a used latch, which I didn't realize until I got home. I was afraid it was too wide, which it is, they didn't have the proper size. They told me it would probably work. I tried to return it and was told all sales are final. I would have rated a zero star, but not because of the workmanship... as the actual workers did a good job. It is the owner/company that I have an issue with. We have done a lot of fencing with this company and have been satisfied for the most part. Our last project was a pool code fence and owner/company did not know current pool code. Bottom line, we did not get the fence we wanted because we were told that it "was not code." During inspection, we learned from the code enforcer that we COULD have had our fence the way we wanted/needed. Because of this, we had to take down our fence ourselves to get our BBQ back in, and Ross owner did acknowledge his error and promised to fix it. They did, after many weeks of waiting, and then sent us an invoice! After disputing the invoice, I was sent the most unprofessional email I have ever received from a contractor or someone whom I have hired and paid to do a job. I was stunned by bad quality of their work and by their utter lack of respect for customers. I chose them not because their offer was the best, but because I wanted to give my business to a local company and because they promised me the job done within a time frame that was a must for me. I was very WRONG! There is an entire list of what they did wrong (a rude guy spitting all over my property, breaking a pipe then leaving me without water almost all day, leaving a mess behind them, not pouring at all or not pouring needed amount of concrete for the posts, leaving crooked boards, excessive wobbling, etc.). The guy in charge (Glen?), when I called him to complain simply told me he was going to spend weekend camping and that there is nothing he could do for me ????!!!!!????
