I cannot speak highly enough about Melton. We took multiple bids to have a remodel done to our…read moresmall business and Melton was the only company willing to work outside our business hours in such a way as to avoid us having to shut down. Erik Carver led the bid process and was professional, detailed and communicative. He was extremely thorough and receptive throughout the entire bidding process and really took the time to understand what we were after. Once the project began Matt Fitzrandolph took over the on-site management and was incredible throughout the process taking the time to tend to every detail and keep us informed. Both he and Erik were incredibly responsive to questions throughout the entire project and it was clear that they had thoroughly vetted their subcontractors, all of whom did exceptional work and were equally professional. The final product of the remodel was everything we could have hoped for and has positioned our business for our next chapter. We couldn't be happier! I offer Melton Design Build my highest accolades and would eagerly recommend them to anyone looking for custom design and build for their business or home.

Very, very poor experience with this firm. I spent 30 minutes speaking with the owner and…read moredetailing some of the projects that I wanted to tackle with moving back into our primary residence which had been rented out. He seemed attentive and the next steps were to have him go to the house to measure and preview things. I never heard from him again. His office did call to let me know that they were going to go to the house and after they had been there to measure I never heard back from them in any shape or form. Totally ghosted me and I had several large projects on my list that I thought would be right up their alley. No worries. I found another company and things went smoothly and I have several projects scheduled and materials already secured and purchased. Silver lining that they never called back, but totally unprofessional. I found it really odd that the owner of the company would not email, or text me after a 30 minute project review but have the company rep communicate with me instead. That is a first for me and I have done dozens of jobs on multiple rentals and primary residences over the years.

Jeremy does INCREDIBLE work! I want to tell everybody I know about how thorough he is and what a great job he does! We've had a few others before we found him and the work they did was definitely not that good, but Jeremy and @Longmont Handyman Services LLC is the real deal! He is so meticulous with his work and everything looks beautiful! He wasn't afraid to tackle the mold and gross stuff in both our tubs to remove every bit of old caulk and then re-caulk them beautifully! He even researched our one tub to find out that it actually SHOULDN'T have been caulked previously in the first place, so he removed all of it and saved us from making the mistake of having it caulked again! He is so good at educating us about stuff around our rental house, which we really appreciated and needed to hear! He fixed our front door that used to SLAM shut and now it shuts so gently! He was mindful of our indoor-only cats and made sure to never let them out. He's very friendly, too, and we had some really cool conversations. He communicates via text very well and is VERY good about working around my constantly-changing schedule! We would trust him with anything we need done. I'm saving Jeremy's number for any and all future tasks we might need him for and now our landlord has a really good, dependable, and local handyman for his property for future tasks. Thanks so much, Jeremy!!!

Having experienced a homeowner's worst nightmare by one contractor, I contacted Jim DeCuzzi to…read morerectify things based solely upon meeting him just one month earlier when he actually recommended against undertaking several minor/moderate sized projects in our home - believing the timing wasn't right (i.e., He was more interested in us rather than just collecting a paycheck - a rare trait in his field). Based on this experience I was impressed with both his technical competence to tackle our current large scale "rehab" project (he's a walking "construction/building encyclopedia"), and even more importantly, the sense of INTEGRITY we were looking for in a contractor (never realizing I'd be calling him one month later). Having just completed 2 1/2 months of renovations D&K proved to be everything a service company should be - professional, efficient, reasonable and most importantly - trustworthy ... a company that respects its customers and places their interests first. Equally impressive was Jim's partner Steve Kessler ... every bit as technically competent and with the same sense of CHARACTER to match. As the onsite supervisor, we couldn't have hoped for a more forward thinking or forward leaning individual to address the countless day-to-day decisions and activities inherent in coordinating all the efforts associated with restoring our home (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, etc...) As with any project this scale, it was not without its share of unanticipated problems. Jim and Steve were quick to diagnosis the issues, recommend a solution and employee the necessary resources to rectify the situation (i.e., no wasted time "evaluating" the situation while racking up unnecessary labor charges). Both were especially empathetic to our situation keeping us current on all developments which was a huge relief in alleviating the stress of trying to manage all the unknowns from a distance (we live in Boston). In sum, Jim and Steve are a one-of-a-kind TEAM. They are exceptionally polite, personable, competent and knowledgeable - with the energy, enthusiasm and "esprit de corps" to tackle anything thrown at them. As a Marine I especially appreciated their professionalism, sense of urgency and attention to detail. It is also obvious they approach their work not so much as a job... but as a profession... a refreshing change from the norm, which makes a huge difference in the end result/product. I only wish we could find more contractors with the same work ethic and sense of service to their clients. We'll obviously be engaging their services in the future, and if you're starting the search process to evaluate contractors, you'll save yourself a lot of time and energy starting with Jim or Steve - great guys dedicated to their customers and with a truly remarkable gift for doing things right.
