Old West Construction just wrapped up our basement and we couldn't be happier with it. Right from…read morethe start, we had a good feeling about working with Armando as they took the time to really think about our basement, and listen to what we wanted from the space, and to then draw up multiple options for us to look at. They put together an estimate and then contract that were both clear and gave us a good understanding of what we were looking at from a cost standpoint, including the places where its common to upgrade and where that could impact the price along the way. We had to wait a few weeks for the job to start since they were already working on another job, but Armando was always very communicative about how that project was going and the expected start date. After we got started everything was very smooth and we were kept in the loop all along the way. They had a port-a-potty on site and went in and out through the basement window so we only saw them when there were questions, or when there were large items they needed to bring in down the stairs like the drywall, granite, etc. We've worked with some companies where the "sales" person you see at the beginning is never seen or heard from again, but Armando was there, on-site and on the phone with us the whole time. There were a few things that were sub-contracted, but it was clear that Armando was the one running the job, and worked with us directly throughout the entire project. Along the way, a number of choices came up and Old West Construction was very helpful in providing us with options, including additions to the original scope of work (we ended up using them to replace our 20 year old furnace and AC as a part of the project, decided to add extra soundproofing, etc). They were never pushy but still willing to make recommendations when we wanted one, which was very helpful. It's easy to be happy with the company you picked when everything is going great, but the real sign of a great company is how they are when things go sideways. We ended up changing direction on a fireplace addition after getting pretty close to picking one out, and Armando and team had no problem reacting to our change of heart. Later in the project, we noticed that a stain color was wrong, and they immediately confirmed that it was the wrong color, and sanded, and re-stained everything the next day, no further questions or discussion needed. The quality of the basement is fantastic throughout, from a custom sump-pump knock out, to a custom wood wrap covering a steel beam, to the bedrooms and bathroom and everything else. Every detail is perfect. Aside from the house itself, this was our single biggest purchase / projects ever, and we could not be any happier that we chose to go with Old West Construction. If you're considering finishing or remodeling your basement, do yourself a favor, and go with Armando and Old West Construction, you'll be glad you did.

Matt came over and measured everything out and gave us an estimate. Very fair! No need to negotiate. Everything was done in a very timely manner and Matt's team of guys did a great job cleaning up after themselves. During the demo of the back patio it was brought to our attention that there was a very large extended hole/cave, for lack of a better word, underneath our sunroom. Matt said no worries he could take care of it and fill it in with more concrete. Of course it changed the price but I felt very confident that if this happened with another company it would have really bumped up the price or I would have had to call another company, like one of those companies that lift the foundation and have them come in and fix it before work could be completed. Matt also used fiberglass rebar which my husband and I really liked. Absolutely excellent job. We highly recommend Matt and his crew. We will definitely use him again for our driveway

The level of craftsmanship required was extraordinary, and Steel's absolutely delivered. What truly set them apart was their ability to make the new work look as though it had always been part of the home. The color matching, grain matching, and overall finish were flawless. You genuinely cannot tell where the original floors end and the new work begins. Josh, in particular, was exceptional from start to finish. He managed the project with an attention to detail, aesthetic eye, and commitment to perfection that surpassed every other vendor we worked with throughout our remodel. He cared deeply about getting every detail right and consistently went above and beyond to ensure the final product was exceptional. It's rare these days to find a company that combines true craftsmanship, technical expertise, professionalism, and follow-through at this level. Josh and the Steel's team reminded us that there are still skilled craftsmen out there who take immense pride in doing difficult work the right way. We could not recommend Steel's more highly.

Since quite a few of my neighbors have been having their roofs replaced in my 20+ year old neighborhood due to hail damage, I called Colorado Roof Toppers to see if they could check my roof. Scott, the owner, answered the phone and was able to stop by late in the afternoon and told me that the good news is that there are just a couple of minor dings in a few of the shingles and the gutters look fine. He figured my roof should be good for another 5 years and that I should call them back then for another assessment. He told me that the bad news is that he won't be replacing my roof so he won't have my business at this time, but he's now made a customer out of me for being so honest! Scott is a veteran and has been in the roofing business for 40 years working locally out of Mead. He's got a great website outlining the awards and certifications they have earned and have had zero complaints filed with the BBB. That BBB distinction alone is amazing, especially in the roofing business. If you've been wondering about the condition of your roof and would like the peace of mind in knowing what's going on up there, you might consider giving Scott a call for his expert opinion. Besides, his inspections are FREE! And who doesn't love FREE?

The 20mil poly was now serving as a pool liner to the deluge of water that had occurred. In order to help move the water out, that liner had to be cut out and then the ground had to dry out before figuring out how to replace it. After contacting a few other companies, I met with Sebastian from HomeStrong. He walked through our crawl space (5' high) and determined how to best repair and get the place back to its original condition. We chose HomeStrong because Sebastian made us feel comfortable, showed us what we could expect and gave us a team who could get the job done the following week. And the pricing was very competitive. Also, it is a family owned company - having our own family business, we really like supporting other families with businesses too. We could not be happier with the results. The project took a little more than 3 days. The team - Daniel & Christian - took such great pride in their work that once the poly was installed, they took their shoes off every time to keep the ground clean! And the encapsulation is even BETTER than it was before. The products they use are top notch. AND the color is WHITE which makes everything look so clean!! A side note here: Not having had exposed ground under our home before, the difference in the humidity and coolness in the house was directly impacted by that exposed ground, even after drying it out for a month prior to reinstalling the encapsulation system. We had a difficult time getting the house to cool less than 73º. Once poly was replaced, the house immediately cooled down and was much more comfortable. Had no idea the impact the encapsulation had been providing! A big shout out and thank you to Sebastian, Daniel & Christian for helping us get our crawl space even better than before! Cannot say enough good things about HomeStrong - highly recommended!! (tried to add photos but it is not allowing it!)
