After getting about 5 different quotes we decided to go with SBC Pools because they were local and only contracted out the concrete. They did come in with the lowest bid, but after working with them, even if they were the highest we would chose them over and over again. Our project was completed in under 60 days. They listened to our ideas and gave suggestions as the project moved along. The crew worked through the hottest days of summer (poor planning on our part) to complete the project before the deadline. We were in constant contact with the office (Veronica) and project (Peter) managers. Our backyard went from a boring dirt yard to a beautiful, fun home paradise in the desert. After meeting will these company's getting the bids I felt very comfortable with the team at SBC Pools, Veronica Sergio and Peter all went out of there way to help me. I switch things around decided last min to add other things and they were always helpful. I especially like how there billing style is set up. Once they finish a job your billed for that job. Exs they demo pool, you pay for the demo part, they do coping you pay for copping. This company and its owner Pedro Nunez is allowing a non licensed man named Fernando Chavez Guillen to work under his company. This is a scam!!! Beware. Fernando goes around and finds people who wants there home to be remodeled, like myself. He will give you smartbuild construction license info so when you verify , it will show a vaild and current license for this company. Fenando will pay Pedro Nunez to get any permits needed, and then he will attempt to work on your home. He will get as much money from you as possible, then rob you. He will come into your home, steal all the material you have purchased, and other personal items, change his number and dissapear. When you call the company smartbuild constuction and speak to the owener, Pedro Nunez, he will claim to know Fernando, but say he doesnt work for his company, therefore he is not resonsbile for any damages done. They tried the same thing on my cowroker, who was getting his garage remodeled, and fernando gave the insurance company all of smartbuild info, so when the heck for 20,000 came in the company name, of course they wanted to pick it up. However i warned my cowroker of what they did to me, so he was able to prevent any loss of money. Please be aware of both indivuals involved. DONT BE SCAMED!!! read more

I had several pool companies come out to give an estimate on replastering pool. They were quick to give an estimate with out even measuring the pool saying they have been in the business for years it looks like its a 95 perimeter pool the going is 4k.Luckily i found an ad from sbc special of 79 ft perimeter pool plastering for 2960 i made the call expecting gimicks or upsells but no they came out to measure the pool perimeter was just enough to qualify for special for plaster and with the savings i chose replace the worn out tile.pete broke down the payment schedule as work got done. I took the week off of work when work started on pool to observe the job and was impressed by the workmanship and cleanliness from start to finish.Pool came out awesome and recieves compliments all the time as well as referals from me thanks pete. read more

I am an Agent and was selling a property in Adelanto. The Seller's pool was cracked and we needed to replaster the pool prior to closing Escrow. I called a lot of pool companies but many of them were not able to meet our schedule. However, when I called SBC Pool and spoke to Veronica, she made it work even though her team was was working on several other projects in the area. SBC Pool's pricing was the cheapest and their service was excellent. They didn't crack any tiles during demo which saved the Seller a lot of money. They also fixed the light and pool equipment at a very reasonable price. Veronica texted me on a regular basis to update me on status. Company told me they had someone available to clean my pool on wednesdays, either in the morning or late afternoon. My tenants didn't want to leave the gate unlocked so I told this company I would meet them at the property at 9am or in the late afternoon time slot. They text me at 5am and tell me there guy will be there at 6am, I let them know that too early so they just respond with sorry we won't be able to clean your pool then. I have used Smart Build for over 5 years. We originally had Peter doing our pool while we went through a remodel with another contractor. Our pool by the way still looks fabulous. Unfortunately our remodel was a disaster. The plumber hired by the contractor couldn't finish the job and irritated the inspector. The electrician crossed wires and again could not pass the inspection. The costs were piling up and our deadlines had long passed. Thank God for Peter! He stepped in and took over the plumbing, electrical, bathroom remodel, patio remodel, and the inspectors loved him. He took an ugly space and created a beautiful patio where our family could relax and meditate. He finished our pool on time even with the added extra work load. I have nothing but POSITIVE remarks about Peter and SBC Pool. I am incredibly impressed by their professionalism, timeliness and honesty when it came to our entire backyard remodel. I wish I could say the same about our general contractor. Nevertheless, SBC Pool made up for all the short-comings of the general contractor. Our pool was huge and really deep before - Peter shortened the pool and made it shallow how we wanted, added new plumbing and drains and today his crew showed up prepared and ready to work early in the morning - we were so excited!
