Started with the Fried trio and the mozzarella was the best part. Excellent marinara. The veal Amici was tender and flavorful with the pappardelle perfectly cooked. Husband had the fruitti de mar made "dumbed down" (less spicy) was nice. What topped the whole experience was John, our server. It was his first night working at Amici's but clearly not his first night making guest experiences special. The perfect blend of attentiveness and charm. As a fellow patron of the restaurant, each of his recommendations were on point.

The atmosphere has real charm--checked tablecloths and an old-school vibe that feels cozy and inviting. My server Abby, was fantastic! She was friendly, funny, and clearly knew the menu well. Her recommendation to start with the fresh bread was spot-on! Hot from the oven and melt-in-your-mouth good. I tried the "Godfather Fashion" from the drink menu. A little sweet for my taste, but a creative twist on the classic that many will enjoy. Dinner was the Chicken Amici's: breaded chicken with provolone and mushrooms in a sweet Marsala sauce over pappardelle pasta. Rich, flavorful, and very filling. I also upgraded to a Caesar salad--worth every penny. Amici's delivered great food, great service, and a memorable experience. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

They sat our party of 10 in the furthest single room. It was like we were in trouble and sent to exile island! All other customers were two sections away from us! Service was great and is not an issue. My stars dropped because of the down grade in menu options and overall food quality. They were also out of seafood (not shrimp) broccoli and asparagus. There was no specials menu this time excepts for one side of Brussels. The food I had was just ok. The croutons on the Caesar were solid rocks. No one should be using boxed croutons anymore. They should cut up and toast the bread they make and serve when you're seated as their croutons. Those would be amazing! My arancini's were fine. The sauce with them is still good. That's why I'm updating to A-OK from 5-stars.

I try to ignore reviews and try places at least once to form my own opinions and since I haven't been in that long of a time, I decided to swing by. I got chicken Alfredo because I was craving it (sure, sue me). It was fine. Tasted like...chicken Alfredo. I've actually never been to Olive garden in my life but I wouldn't be surprised if it tastes similar. It came with a side salad--upcharges for certain dressings like caesar dressing. I just grabbed a simple vinaigrette. Salad was something you could toss together at home in 2 seconds. Chopped greens, cherry tomatoes, and drowned in sauce. I didn't really complain since I'm usually heavy on the dressing anyway. Bread came out first and it was a bit sad. Heavily buttered and a bit soggy. The oil/garlic dip was pretty standard, on the garlicky side. Maybe it's my preference, but would've liked it to be a bit crispier. I ordered a Manhattan which was fine but it took like 10 mins to come out. I had some time to kill so it didn't bother me too much, but I expected it to at least come out at the same time as the salad. Wasn't sure if the bar was slammed or not, but it was a pretty cozy weeknight so it didn't seem all too busy. Vibe inside was cute and dark. Felt cozy. Service was just okay--the server was very friendly and nice but the food and drink took a while to hit the table. Overall, probably a 5/10~. I don't remember Gennaros from 2011 when I last ate there but I still think it's quite cute inside, but wasn't impressed by the meal overall. That might've been on me, ordering Alfredo that I could just make at home. Sometimes you do be cravin Alfredo tho so don't judge me.

He was so attentive, friendly, and genuinely funny. I was visiting from San Diego, and he made the whole experience that much better. We ordered the whipped bone marrow, the lamb ragù, and the Taleggio pizza. Jimmy suggested adding sausage to the pizza, and I'm so glad we listened because it was the perfect addition. Every single thing we ordered was incredible. I can honestly say this was the best meal I had during my entire trip to Charleston. I was also excited to see a Super Tuscan on the wine list since it's my favorite red wine and not something you find everywhere. And one thing I really appreciated that probably sounds random, but if you've been to Charleston in the summer, you'll understand...it was actually nice and cool inside. It was such a relief after being out in the heat and humidity all day and made it so much more enjoyable to sit down and have a great meal. Between the amazing food, the atmosphere, and Jimmy's outstanding service, this was easily one of the highlights of my trip. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in Charleston.

We ordered bottled water which we haven't had to do ever dining out. The server recommended a salad that was just awful, bland, plain, tasteless, underwhelming. And very small for the price. The pizza we ordered was markedly smaller than before and the crust was different and looked like it was premade and frozen. It had the taste and look of DiGiorno pizza. Previously, the pizza was a standout but now Indaco and La Tela in Kiawah are making much better pizza pies. The service was friendly and they prepared a specialty cocktail that I like which was outstanding. To the team there, you have been going downhill for several years. Turn it around!
