The atmosphere is welcoming and warm. Upon entering, you'll see the restaurant right away. There is also a private party room incase you have a large party or reserve it for you and your golf buddies. BUT the restaurant isn't hard to miss. Service was quick and friendly. There wasn't a lot of people so it wasn't busy enough to halt or stall services. Our order arrived and at first, the food looked dry. As soon as I bit into the fish, ohhh it was so NOT dry. lol! Juicy. I was glued to the garlic fries. This is one thing I highly recommend getting. If you're into garlic, of course. I'm a garlic person. Fresh diced garlic cloves, along with other herbs... mmmmmm...my mouth waters just thinking of it. And I'd make the trip back there just for the fries. The cheesecake was enough for two people to share. Although, that's what my son and I did. I just gotta say, give them a try if you're in town and around. It sure beats the heavy traffic of the buffets.

Our experience wasn't that bad, but maybe my expectations were already set low. The wings were very good. The mini tacos came across like frozen store-bought tacos that were elevated by a restaurant-quality deep fryer. Other guests seem to rave about the pizza. Seriously, you guys need to get out more. The pizza reminded me of a late-night college drunk meal where your roommate swears he can make a good pizza. That said, the pizza is clearly designed for drunk people, and after way too many drinks, I could absolutely see myself smashing 7 or 8 slices. Service was okay, but a little slow. Ben reminded me we were one of only two tables and it was not ok, so fair enough. This was our second dinner in Mesquite, and I'm noticing a common theme: the bar comes first, and dinner guests who aren't drinking copious amounts of alcohol come second. I got dirctions from the Yelp app and was soon at the golf club. The restaurant is quite nice. There is patio dining and great views of the fairway(s). After looking over hte menu, I ordered the chili verde omelette. The omelette has Pork chile verde, pepperjack cheese, sour cream, guacamole, topped with pepperjack cheese and chile verde. The sour cream and guacamole are in small cups so you can use what you want. You have a choice of toast. I got rye toast. Butter for the toast is served separately in small plastic containers for those who want dry toast. The omelette also comes with some hash browns. I was served coffee shortly after I was seated and it was refilled once and I was asked about a second refill. It was a wonderful breakfast and made my drive to Mesquite a tasty place. The Grille gets 5 stars especially for the service. My server, Jessica, was delightful and so pleasant. I'm not in Mesquite often, but I would stop here another time for a meal.

A little disappointed, we decided to give it a try since the lunch items had just been put out fresh. Unfortunately, the hot food was a letdown. Most of the dishes were under-seasoned and surprisingly not very hot, even though they had just been brought out. The mac and cheese was watery, the fried fish was lukewarm, and the country gravy was basically flavorless. Thankfully, the salad bar and fresh fruit did not disappoint and were definitely the highlights of the meal. Overall, we were disappointed with the quality of the hot items and expected more from a buffet. Hopefully, this was just an off day.
