    NY XL Pepperoni Pizza
    Lou H.

As far as Sbarro goes, this is one of the better ones I've been to. After my experience at The Oaks Mall, I almost gave up on Sbarro until I happened upon this food court at the Camarillo Outlets while hangry. I liked Sbarro's ultra thin pizza, not their new thicker XL crust which is more like cardboard. So I asked the cook if he could make it thinner. He advised it wouldn't be as level, may have too much flop to it, etc. but I was good with it. So he tried to thin out the pizza he made fresh for me. The large pepperoni pizza for $25 brought back memories of going to the mall as a kid and getting a slice of Sbarro's. The mall wasn't just for shopping, it was for dining, killing time, and just hanging out. Sbarro's was my go-to at any mall and this place was spot on with that memorable flavor. There wasn't too much grease (though my childhood pizza left a plate of grease), the pizza had decent flavor, and I knew I would be coming back. This time I went with the XL, no special instructions. What irritated me was the 3% credit surcharge they snuck in at checkout. Yes it's allowed now but the customer must be notified, and I'm not sure a receipt after the fact counts as being notified of a credit card surcharge. Anyway, I had the thicker crust and it was still pretty decent, but it was a little stiffer, staler and not enough flop and foldability. As for the ambiance, well it's an outlet food court with half the court closed. I'll be coming back but only to order a whole pizza a little thinned out. Well that's this critics review, until next time, I'll be eating.

Not good. Pizza was sitting there for a long time. Do t recommend

There were a couple people already waiting in line when we arrived, but no one at the register. After a few more minutes the people ahead of us got tired of waiting and left. We had already had our minds set on a few menu items to try so we waited. The team member who took our order was very nice but a bit slow at the register. We weren't in a rush, so it didn't really bother us. The husband was quite hungry, so we ended up over-ordering -- House Chips & Cheese, Potato Bacon Pizza, Short-Rib Melt and Pastrami. It all came our pretty fast and it was ALOT (lol)! The House Chips were generous, fresh and tasty. The Potato Bacon pizza was delicious! The sandwiches, although flavorful, were kinda skimpy. We felt that we were biting into mostly bread. The fries were hot and super crispy. Service was great overall. There's a flat screen TV in the middle of the dining room that was showing college football. I liked that takeout boxes for leftovers were easily accessible to everyone. There's ample seating inside and several picnic tables at the shared area outside. The layout is nice with three connected establishments -- Freda's, Rori's and Topa Topa. Something for the entire family! :)

Menu includes pizzas, burgers, salads, fries...wrapped in a wonderful assortment of flavors and delightful options. Their employee Christian took our order immediately and was very patient and efficiently accommodated our requests for adding basil and cooking it well done. While waiting we were able to explore the menus of the ice cream vendor and beer promoter as there are no walls separating each business. Wonderful idea that accommodates groups with more options when visiting the establishment. After about 10 minutes Christian came out to inform us they had run out of mushrooms...then asked if we'd like to try their highly requested potato and bacon...we welcomed the possibility. He then very kindly brought us out delicious restaurant made potato chips and cheese dip, on the house, since he felt we had waited so long for our pizza. He immediately struck me as a very kindly brought and considerate young man...something that seems rare these days...especially when viewing society as a senior citizen. I highly recommend the quality of the pizza and enjoyed the service provided as well.

The place has several different seating areas, which gives it a relaxed and flexible atmosphere depending on where you prefer to sit. The pizza was surprisingly very good. I tried the Hawaiian pizza, which was flavorful, and the bread itself was delicious. The beer was pretty good, I had a couple of different varieties and they were all very tasty. The letdown was the pizza, I was kind of expecting close to the quality of Fluid State but nope, not even in the same league. It was actually bad, the crust kinda reminded me of when the kids were little and we took them to Chuck E Cheese. Regardless, the beer was good and even though it was packed Saturday night, we didn't have any issues finding a table.

Being in the Conejo Valley today, I had to get this place a shot. And I'm stoked I did! The service is impeccable, and the selection is amazing! Devyn was extremely helpful and let me know about some of the selections that were available. Some were pretty difficult to choose from because they all looked so amazing! Seriously, you guys - keep it up. Thank you for being amazing and thank you for providing so much quality! Looking forward to having you guys open up in Ventura as well! #onpoint

It was late in the evening and we stopped by. The interior was very smoky and the building has very poor ventilation. This place was PACKED. I looked at the various options and decided to split a pizza with my brother. It had all the good stuff tomatoes, onions, meat, etc. I took a bite and it wasn't anything special and definitely not worth the price. I know it's all fresh, good quality stuff but something was missing. I don't see myself coming back simply because of the prices and what I ended up getting. Of course it felt like a moderate step up from a chain place like Dominos or Pizza Hut, but for me it didn't live up to what it claims to be.
