I scored a good deal on Groupon, picked up a bottle of wine, and we headed to the studio on a Friday night. We got to use the airbrush and even spray paint on our master pieces this time. And, as always, Alex made the night fun, engaging, and creative, and we all ended up with a great painting of happy little trees to take home and brag about. Now, can I remember everything we did? Paint, scavenger hunt, paint, view a couple short videos of Alex's work (amazing), paint, roof view of Boise and foothills, paint, and adding a layer to the splatter paint room. Bring plenty of wine because it's going to be a long, fun evening.

There are easy projects and harder ones. The easy ones are trays and coasters, or little dishes. Medium are dogs, horses, etc. Harder are lazy Susans, 3D objects, etc. I think it can take one hour, or 3+ for the harder ones (if you are particular!) They also have wood painting for smaller kids who you want to bring along but don't trust handling glass!

Having recently rekindled my desire for photography, I've taken Heidi's Photo 1 and Photo 2 courses. The one on one or classroom learning experience just can't be beat. Questions can be answered right away for any confusion you may have. Heidi does an excellent job of clearly explaining the process of photography. I've a much better understanding of how to correctly use my new camera, and I keep practicing to put my new knowledge to better use. I hope to one day take the analog course and delve back into actual film! But wait, there is more. Not only can you do photography here, you can also take art painting lessons, and summer camps for kids are also available. Heidi also does an introductory course using Adobe's Lightroom for editing your digital photos. Unfortunately, I had more days when I had to console a crying daughter whose art class was cancelled that day (with no notice), than I had at the studio. All because the business owner is too absent minded to be able to keep a schedule. When I complained, the girl at the front desk looked down at her feet and just mumbled some excuse. I would give this place a zero star if I could. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. The business owner is rude and inconsiderate.
