Beyond satisfied with our bathroom remodel completed by Jenney Construction. If you're looking for…read morea reliable bathroom remodeling contractor, I highly recommend them. From the start of our bathroom renovation project, expectations were clearly explained and the team communicated every step of the process. Noel and Samantha both went above and beyond throughout the entire home remodeling project. During demolition, the scope of our bathroom renovation increased due to underlying issues. Instead of doing quick patchwork, the team made sure everything was restored properly and to a high standard. They replaced the subfloor, handled structural improvements, and ensured the foundation of the bathroom was solid before moving forward. The tile installation and tile work turned out absolutely stunning - same with the flooring. Noel also pointed out several design details that made the finished custom bathroom remodel look intentional and high-end rather than like an afterthought. From start to finish, the quality, communication, and professionalism exceeded our expectations. If you need a trustworthy bathroom remodeling company that truly cares about the final result, Jenney Construction is an excellent choice.

Since we bought our house in March, we have dealt with many contractors. Jose & Angela are by far…read morethe most professional and honest among all of them. They took care of a drywall+door installation and a bathroom fan replacement. Among the 4 contractors we contacted for this, they were the only ones showing up in person to provide a quote. The others only asked for pictures and provided quotes based on those. The quote from Jose & Angela was very reasonable. A couple of times, as it is often the case, the project required some extra costs due to the unforseen conditions of the door and the fan we purchased. Jose was very transparent in describing the reasons of the additional costs and updated our contract immediately both times. At each step we knew what we were paying for why. Based on our experience, this is not something to be taken for granted. The final job was absolutely high quality. Moreover, Jose and his team did all they could to minimize the impact of dust etc on the rest of the house. I am very happy we (somewhat randomly, via Angi) got to connect with them. They will certainly be our first choice for any future work on the house that falls within their expertise.

Very disappointing.

Our expectations, based on our initial meetings, were to use Owner-Built (OBMS)/Jim Rumler's…read moreexpertise as a second set of eyes to help with the many details - unknown to us - involved with the remodeling project and to save "25% or more" based on viewing his website. First, we did not recognize 25% savings for our project. Our biggest ticket items were our flooring, countertop, cabinets, and electrical. The flooring was purchased using OBMS' manufacturer's discount. The discount brought the flooring to the same price we could have purchased it at using a local flooring dealer. The countertop was market rate. The cabinets were custom-made and one of the only areas we saw savings. The electrical was market rate. Second, OBMS received payment of 25% of the total costs. That included items we secured, researched, and where he offered no value or discount (e.g. light fixtures, appliances, plumbing fixtures, paint). Finally, Jim made *ONE* trip to the site during the two plus months of construction. What he provided was a list of vetted contractors, and a plug-in timeline and budget worksheet for our project. He made a few phone calls, sent a few emails, and texts providing very little useful counseling or expertise. His coaching at one point was to chastise us for not letting him know there were issues with the drywall work. We were also told asking for estimates from a few contractors was "frowned upon" in the industry. We would not recommend OBMS based on our experience.

We hired Owner Built to remodel our first floor - our kitchen and dining room. Prior to our…read moreremodel these rooms were separate and felt like different rooms. We live in an older house where rooms are more separate and we wanted a more modern open floor plan. We worked with Owner Built to bring these rooms together. We gutted both spaces and were able to create an open floor plan. We loved Owner Built's designer and the options they provided. Most importantly we liked the transparency of their process. We knew exactly what the contractors were making and what Owner Built was being paid for their services. Our overall spend was 25% less than our best full contractor bid. Our project is on their Facebook page and it speaks for itself. The process was easy, we had daily control of the project and when we needed help Jim (the owner of the company) was always there. We didn't find it harder to "be our own contractor" and actually preferred knowing where our money was going and having more say that prior remodels we have done.

A slow drip (about one drip every 15 seconds) over the course of a few month just soaked the ceiling below. I was to the saturation point where the water dripped out of the vent fan so I had no choice but to call in the professionals to make the repair after I have to cut a hole in the ceiling to fix the problem and dry out the ceiling. Schroeder's Drywall was great from the minute I called them. They were not able to make it out for two days to give me an estimate but he did talk to me about what I needed to do to dry out the ceiling so he could complete the repairs the week after. This was a great help because he gave me good advice. Once he was able to make it out to give me a free quote he was upfront, let me know what to expect if I hired him and how long it would take. The job would include patching the spot, floating the entire ceiling and doing the knock down texturing not he whole bathroom ceiling so it looked like new and matched. Quote: $425 for the ceiling repair. While he was here I also asked him to quote the taping and muddying of two walls in my three car garage. I only wanted the first 6 feet tapped and muddled because they have 12 foot ceilings. I was told it would be just as easy and no extra cost to have him tape and mud the entire two walls vs. just the lower 6 feet. Cost on this was $375. So for $800 I had both thing completed and they did it in three days!!! Professional work that is grade 1 seamless!!!! Great communication and very recommendable to anyone looking at Sheetrock or drywall work.

Not only was Nick timely, charming, and attractive, but his team showed a level of professionalism I didn't expect to see from a "drywall crew". I've had painters and other contractors in before and they've typically been OK with going in and out of my residence without regard for the dirt they're brining in, have had a tendency to leave trash around, and the bathroom a complete mess. NOT the case with this crew. I think they actually left the place in better shape than when they arrived. I got a quote from Schroder Drywall for about a ~600 sq ft. job in my basement and he came in well under in time and cost compared to three other well reviewed contractors. I was a little hesitant based on the quoted price, but he assured me of the quality by providing references. They were all more than pleased with the work that was done. If you need any drywall work (or a BF - I hear this stud is single), I strongly consider giving Schroder Drywall a call.
