The owner is moody and rude! The fabric collection is great, the price is decent, but man, the owner? Never come back to this place.

AVOID BUYING HERE!!!! Avoid at all costs! I ordered online. Order never arrived. Rude owner did not care -- will not credit my order. Had to get my bank involved. Their shipping was problem -- they didn't put enough postage on package although they charged me for shipping. You can tell by wording on their website this is an ongoing problem with them. The store owners do not care about servicing their customers to make things right. AVOID THIS BUSINESS. I reordered from another site and received what I wanted in 2 days! I used to live in Williamsburg and the Savvy Swatch was a great place to shop for upholstery fabrics. I was visiting the area last month and decided to stop by. I was shocked at the shop. There are so many bolts of fabric and remnants piled high one can barely navigate the aisles. It is a safety hazard for customers and staff. But sent out in some low cost method. Almost three weeks , no package!! PayPal reversed the charges. This Debora chick would here and there respond. She was telling me "it's coming, blaming the post office because someone retired from the post office. My husband recently passed away. Thought I would paint a table but never received my order. They were totally rude never offering a solution. How about resend my order or refund it???? Then she had the nerve to tell me to refuse the package if it was delivered. Please come to my door!!! Let's start with this: the previous reviews said the staff was taking the pandemic seriously....which they are not. They are not wearing masks, and one of the associates was obviously sick. This is a SMALL store, and probably filled with germs. While the selection may be wonderful, the haphazard, "make it up as we go" attitude and way of doing business is not ideal. I have been in here a few times, and every time the price is not labeled and a number (always LARGE) is just thrown out without any rationale. Some remnant bolts must be purchased in whole, others not. But again, nothing is labeled and it is an of-the-moment decision. I keep thinking I might get lucky and have the right price on the right bold end up being in my favor, but it has yet to happen. Seems to be more of a large project place -- if you aren't buying many many yards and therefore spending $$$$, you simply are not welcome to do anything other than browse. Which again, should be made clear. I realize that large projects bring in more money for the business, but in a small town, it might be wise to serve the larger needs of the area. Who knows? What might be a couple of yards for a small project now might turn into a repeat consumer and piece of furniture later. But again, it doesn't seem that way. read more

I made a trip to the store for a small project, found one I thought would work but didn't purchase before bringing a photo home to be sure. Returned the next day, not a short drive. Asked for half a yard and was told I had to buy a whole yard. I have no need for the other half of costly fabric. Gave in, since I'd made two trips, then was told there was a charge for credit purchase. Fortunately I had some cash and was able to not give them anything more than I had to! The store is very hard to navigate, so many bolts not even accessible. I would like to have browsed the "remnant" table but it was impossible. Won't return. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would! I placed an online order and I know what I bought. They can try to say I ordered the wrong thing but I did not. Their website worked terribly so I should have known something would go "wrong". What ever happened to the customer is always right? They have TERRIBLE people skills and were not only rude, but condescending and facetious in their email responses (go take some CS skillset courses Debora, seriously). It took over a week to get the wrong item to boot. I have contacted their supplier about their behavior as well. Conveniently, they do not accept returns not even at my cost to return, the answer is no. They can try to say it was me until they are blue in the face (and I'm sure they will in response to this rating), but when you have nothing at risk (no returns) why would they care? I and my wife visit this place while on vacation on Feb 20th during morning hour, my wife wanted to purchase fabric for her business we as Blacks from maryland, picked this place online to get some fabric while on vacation, we were very surprise how we were treated in this store. We were not waited on, and the staff act as if we were not there. We left out.
