The selection of the latest Apple devices from iPhone to iPad, from MacBook Pro to AirPods is extensive as one would expect, and the store's exposed brick wall adds a rustic charm and a juxtaposition between the modern technology and old building which houses Apple Glasgow. There are fewer open spaces to sit and relax compared to other Apple Stores - there are still some areas where you can sit, play around with the latest devices and charge your phone though, even if it isn't the most spacious and comfortable. The staff seemed friendly enough, but again not overly welcoming and engaging. The store does generally close at 7 pm, which is a little early for my liking but is amongst the latest in the city centre anyway so I can't complain too much there. 4*

Extremely unprofessional manager (short blonde hair) in the store today. No interpersonal skills,…read moreterrible communication skills, very immature and childish behaviour with a horrific attitude that clearly shouldn't be working in a customer based service environment! His unprofessionalism is a bad reflection on the Apple brand and clearly brings the Apple brand into disrepute. Apple need to pay more attention to their management selection process and the customer service/management training that they are giving these people. In this case, Apple have got it majorly wrong promoting this person as they're not management material in anyway!

Went in here the other week to check if i could get my phone fixed on warranty as the gyroscope had messed up. Went through the costs if it was physical dropping damage, water damage and the like and they also told me they would have to erase my phone and that if it was anything outside of warranty i would incur a £25 charge. All above board and transparent which is excellent. They also advised me how to back up my phone using something called samsung switch which backs up the settings of your phone. Having done this i went in a couple of weeks later and completed putting in my phone with another gentleman who went through the same details with me ensuring i understood what would happen. Signed the tablet to put my phone in and he did a test to prove that the gyroscope wasn't working and showed me this as well. After erasing the phone he tested a little again in the back and got it working. Asked me to come back in around half an hour so he could test and ensure that it was fully fixed. Had myself a wee meander about town and came back. Again the man behind the till showed me the gyroscope working and reinstalled my sim card and advised some further care to prevent this happening in future and narrowed down the problem to an app malfunction. Cue a happy me tinkering with my phone on the way back home! Even without this simple fix the lead times were next day if they had the parts or 2 days if they had to order them in if needed. To me this is a fantastic repair time and this coupled with the transparency of the employees is excellent.

First occasion was to replace a cracked screen (cost was £150), phone was 'repaired' and returned to my daughter with the microphone now broken. She returned to the store and was told it would be 2 weeks to fix the problem they caused. I went to the shop the following day and advised them on no uncertain terms it would not be 2 weeks, microphone was replaced in 2 hours while they constantly mentioned they would do this for free as if this was some kind of grand gesture. I asked about what they would offer as they had broken the phone while 'repairing' it, I was offered a screen protector. Which I can buy for 99p. Screen stopped working 2 months later, returned to store. Staff member looked at the phone for around 3 seconds and said the screen was loose, it would not be repaired under warranty. Phone had not been dropped, I suspect the screen was not secured in the first place when 'repaired'. Disgusted at the careless attitude, the lack of responsibility, the clear attempt to avoid repairing the phone under warranty, and the manager constantly telling people to phone Samsung if they were not happy. I did and they were extremely sympathetic and helpful. Phone is being sent to their engineers as under no circumstances would I ever use the store again.

Hangings to good for 'em. I did everything online, so I hadn't yet experienced the woeful customer service that o2 has. There are so many days that go by that wish I had stayed with Giff Gaff and left o2 well enough alone. Since I paid for everything with my bank card online, I was told by a member of this location that I would be unable to make payments with any other card except for the bank card I used and I would have to contact o2 on the phone to switch payment cards. Being American, I have a savings account with my American bank that has a chip and pin that I would like to use, and they flat out told me that they don't accept the American card. That's funny, since it has a Visa logo, and as far as I know, that's accepted basically everywhere. I went online to chat with a service rep about the same thing, and they agreed that I would have to call to have my payment changed, but that they wouldn't be able to accept my American card. Not only that, but I surely miss Apple (my old phone was an iphone) because any little problem I had with my phone, Apple stepped up to the plate and fixed it no questions asked. With o2, I have go through hoops to get anything done and everything that has needed to be done has taken so long to do, it's almost not worth having any sort of communication with them what so ever. Unfortunately, I signed up for a 2 year contract so I'm stuck with o2 for a while. Steer clear of o2, their customer service is rotten both in store and online. They're not worth your time. Fingers crossed, I won't need to be in touch with them any more until my contract is up.

GAMER'S FIX So today…read moreis Him Indoors' birthday...he decided last night he wanted to have "a two-console household"...ooookaaaaay darling!! ;-) He's already got a PS4 and today I got him a Wii U in this Game store. The location is very handy, close to loads of transport and central!! As soon as we asked for assistance, a very friendly girl came over and helped us out. She immediately told us about a bundle deal, where basically you get the console (for the normal price it is everywhere...) and a wee accessories pack free...and there are cheaper games (premium and new titles) should you chose to buy them at that point. The accessory pack had a wee stylus (the Wii U game controller is a huge thing with a touch screen and buttons etc, so this is a great wee bonus for NO MONEY!!) a screen protector for the controller screen and a pouch to keep the controller safe when not in use...FABULOUS wee extra!! The staff member then showed us where the pre-owned games were, there was a good selection! Him Indoors had a rewards card, so she happily put the points on there for us and explained that the points don't register for 24 hours, again, helpful!! He spied another game he liked the look of so asked her to put it aside whilst we went to look for other bday pressie stuff elsewhere (we ended up not going elsewhere, but she had already set it aside for him, so it was available ready to go at the till.) I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone looking for games/consoles/iPads etc...they have a great selection (of new and pre owned games and consoles!) and they take pre orders too for the next Big Thing!!

They have a huge range of video games on all the big consoles including X-Box, Wii and PS3 with different members of staff stating clear preferences for which one is their favourite. It's important to know this when you make big purchases because they will steer you away/towards particular products. They do good trade-ins and bundles and are always bang up to date with the latest releases. It's pretty big inside with plenty of room to move around and they always have playable demos of new releases which is always fun!

It doesn't need to however, as quite amazingy it's the only internet cafe in Glasgow and has saved my bacon on a couple of occasions, so it's best just to grit your teeth and put up with it. Though I've never been sat next to anyone browsing through hardcore porn, the guy next to me once was on a website called "British Spanking". He looked a bit like Manuel from Fawlty Towers as well which made it even funnier.

It isn't right to call it a "cafe" given that the only food or drink availible is from a slow vending machine. I have only really used the place for Internet access and not tried any of the other services on offer, though I don't expect they are much better. The prices - £2 an hour, £5 for an all day pass - are to be expected, but you would also expect at the very least computers that had working mouses and keys that weren't stuck down. Plus the seats are uncomfortable and the computer screens are very far forward - a health and safety disaster. But the very worst thing about this place is the sorts of people who you have to share company with. I've had them all sitting next to me - smelly jakeys, people bellowing down mobile phones, weirdos who talk to themselves, neds listening to very loud rave music through their headphones, you name it. Somebody at work even told me they had to share company with a person who happily surfed through hardcore pornography. I've only used this place because there isn't much of a choice if you urgently require internet access and there's nowhere else to go. Avoid like the plague.
