First and foremost, Cindy and Dan are amazing. They are both so warm and inviting. I've only been here once, but they made me feel like I've lived in the neighborhood all my life. They are the sweetest people. The donuts are amazing and made fresh daily. If you can get a warm one, then wow, melt in your mouth good! They have a great variety to choose from and keep it well stocked. The shop is a small hole in the wall place, but easy to find on your maps app. Honestly I can recommend this place enough. I was craving donuts , so earlier this morning went to Savoy Donuts and waited 15 minutes to pick up these! It was so worth the wait. Some are still warm & are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I had the chocolate glazed and it was near perfect in taste and freshness. My husband had the cherry cake donut, it was very flavorful and nothing like I've ever tasted before. This is by far my favorite donut shop in Escondido! It's a family owned shop and Cindy, the owner, is so sweet. Since it is all run by the family, there are random days where they are closed so be aware. I drive by the shop every day and it seems like there are a couple of days every month that they are closed. They are also closed every Sunday. Their yeast donuts are some of the fluffiest and tastiest I've ever had. I always tell people that it's like eating a sugar glazed cloud. And typically when I stop by there at 7 AM, their donuts are freshly made so they're nice and warm. They have a nice variety and service is fantastic. read more

They have the best donuts we've had. Me and my boyfriend religiously come here every Saturday to get our weekly dose of chocolate frosted donuts. I bring some for my family when I see them and they LOVE it too! Very nice & friendly staff, family owned so even better! Whenever they run out of our fave or when they're closed, we definitely get sad since we know other donut places won't come close to Savoy donut. We used to get our choco frosted at Dunkin' Donuts but it got too far when we moved to Escondido. We've tried different donut places every week until we found our favorite and we never looked elsewhere. Their dough is fluffy and airy with a little crisp on the outside and the chocolate frosted melts in your mouth.
