If you've been running on over processed generic sugar bombs from fast food chains for so long that you've forgotten how good a real, fresh donut can be then make your way to Savoy. Great selection, friendly service, and a donut that made me turn to my partner and go "What the actual f@$*" after the first bite. So good. Not pictured is the blueberry glazed I inhaled in the parking lot and an orange glazed with real zest in the frosting. RIP delicious treats. Gone but not forgotten. read more

As a "Husky" child in my youth this was a morning weekend treat. Fluffiest tastiest pastries. . Im sure it's the same recipe from when i was a child. Working at the bank a dozen or 2 would always give the team a good Saturday to the work day. Small shop but huge taste. Coffee and drinks available. The unique twist they have in their recipe really sets them apart. You will remember and will want to go back for more. read more

I think their donuts come from heaven. I seriously have never tasted anything like them. The chocolate. It's somehow better than any chocolate I've ever had on a donut. Quite a mystery. I know Pederson's has always had the crown, but not today. Savoy just might be the death of me. LOL ! read more

First and foremost, Cindy and Dan are amazing. They are both so warm and inviting. I've only been here once, but they made me feel like I've lived in the neighborhood all my life. They are the sweetest people. The donuts are amazing and made fresh daily. If you can get a warm one, then wow, melt in your mouth good! They have a great variety to choose from and keep it well stocked. The shop is a small hole in the wall place, but easy to find on your maps app. Honestly I can recommend this place enough. Yes the donuts are wonderful, but the warmth, love, and sweetness that the owners give to each customer is second to none. I highly recommend this place to family, friends and the likes! Unfortunately, I don't live in Escondido anymore. I stopped there every month to P/U donuts for our church group who picked up trash on the street out church was on. They were delicious! Also, the owners attended my church and provided donuts after every service on Sundays :-) read more

I was craving donuts , so earlier this morning went to Savoy Donuts and waited 15 minutes to pick up these! It was so worth the wait. Some are still warm & are melt-in-your-mouth delicious. I had the chocolate glazed and it was near perfect in taste and freshness. My husband had the cherry cake donut, it was very flavorful and nothing like I've ever tasted before. If you are ever in the area, stop by for a dozen. The donut shop is cute and clean. But try to go somewhat early because they run out. read more

This is by far my favorite donut shop in Escondido! It's a family owned shop and Cindy, the owner, is so sweet. Since it is all run by the family, there are random days where they are closed so be aware. I drive by the shop every day and it seems like there are a couple of days every month that they are closed. They are also closed every Sunday. Their yeast donuts are some of the fluffiest and tastiest I've ever had. I always tell people that it's like eating a sugar glazed cloud. And typically when I stop by there at 7 AM, their donuts are freshly made so they're nice and warm. They have a nice variety and service is fantastic. read more

They have the best donuts we've had. Me and my boyfriend religiously come here every Saturday to get our weekly dose of chocolate frosted donuts. I bring some for my family when I see them and they LOVE it too! Very nice & friendly staff, family owned so even better! Whenever they run out of our fave or when they're closed, we definitely get sad since we know other donut places won't come close to Savoy donut. We used to get our choco frosted at Dunkin' Donuts but it got too far when we moved to Escondido. We've tried different donut places every week until we found our favorite and we never looked elsewhere. Their dough is fluffy and airy with a little crisp on the outside and the chocolate frosted melts in your mouth. Even better when you catch them freshly out the oven but just as good even couple hours later. The size of their donuts are very good amount too! read more

Amazing is all I can say. I called the owner on Tuesday to make sure she had Apple Fritters. She asked what day I wanted it and I said for Saturday for my husbands 70th birthday. She put 1 aside for me and I got a glaze twist. My husband said best Apple fritter ever which is his favorite mine was awesome too. She's super nice she even put a few free donut holes in the box. If you want a donut as a meal, this is the place to visit! Holy cow the donuts are enormous. The dozen is $16 so that's a bit more than a usual place but this is no usual place. Savoy serves up the tastiest and freshest donuts in town. Period. Their donuts make other shops look stingy and just sad. The ham and cheese Croissant is also a behemoth of a pastry. It's a meal no doubt. Fresh coffee, a friendly hello every time you walk in and after a couple of visits, they know your name. What more can you ask for at a donut shop? Visit once and be convinced. These guys deserve 5 more stars. I went into this place on a whim to pick up some donuts for my team. And I was not ready for how good they are! The best cake donut I have ever had lives here .. my mind is blown. The outside is crispy like it was just fried and the inside is so light and fluffy. Good donuts, nice people. They do cater to an early crowd and seem to sell out around 11. I say good for them, I'd like to be off work by noon too. My favorite is the croissants, hands down the best around! read more

Best freaking donuts in town. I've been getting donuts here for a long time. Always fresh and moist. Not greesy and heavy like some other donut place in escondido. They only accept cash so bring it. read more

Always Fresh because they have great turnover. You can tell they have a ton of regulars because the lady has a comment for everyone.
