I did not get hot sauce, but there was a little kick to it. I really only eat mild flavors, but it was good that this had so much sauce because that made it easier for me to eat. My wife had the lamb Gyro platter that came with a plate of their rice with carrots and raisins, and a side dish and pita bread and I had the lamb shank platter. The meat on the lamb shank was to die, for it melted right off the bone. It was perfectly cooked. Tenders can be soft as can be tasty as can be a nice shoe of pink on the inside and the sauce that it was in we were dipping the pita bread in it, as well as some of the pieces for my wife's platter, which was also extremely tender very unexpected. Service was pretty basic. I don't know that it was bad but it certainly wasn't extraordinary. My Mom and Aunt both got salads. I got a hot dog plate and a side salad. My Aunt enjoyed her large house salad. My Mom really didn't like her Greek salad. I ended up eating most of it. They were VERY generous with the feta. Maybe too generous. I thought it was fine. I enjoyed my side salad. The hot dog was interesting. As described on the menu, it is two hot dogs, cut in half lengthwise, then griddled, then put on a hoagie roll. It was unusual. Not bad, just different. The hoagie roll was a bit chewier than a standard hot dog bun. The sauerkraut was good. I had asked for mustard too and they brough it on the side. Overall, an OK experience. I don't know that we'll be back if we are in the area again.

We had never been to Killarney's before, so we decided to give it a try for dinner last evening…read more When we arrived, the staff seemed friendly, and we were looking forward to having a nice evening. Unfortunately, that wasn't how things turned out. It took our waitress at least 10-15 minutes to come to our table to see if we wanted drinks. When she did arrive, she was very nice. I ordered a Moscato, and my husband ordered a Michelob Ultra. Since we had already had plenty of time to look over the menu, we placed our dinner order at the same time. A few minutes later, our waitress returned to tell me that they were out of Moscato. I have to admit, I found that pretty surprising. This was a Saturday evening, and I would expect a restaurant and bar to be well stocked heading into a busy weekend night. My husband had also ordered soup before his meal. Interestingly enough, his soup arrived before his beer did. I'm still not quite sure how a bowl of soup made it to the table faster than a draft beer. When our entrées finally arrived, neither of us was particularly impressed. The food wasn't terrible, but it was average at best and certainly didn't make up for the rest of the experience. We finished our meals, paid our bill, and left. Between the slow service, the bar not being properly stocked, the unusual delay in getting a simple drink, and food that was nothing more than average, there simply wasn't anything about our experience that would give us a reason to return. Unfortunately, Killarney's will not be a place we revisit.

Pumpkin spice is for pumpkin pie and that's it, no matter what these dizzy suburban women say. So the decision to visit Johnny Longhots today was based entirely on poor reviews. The guy who ordered a sandwich to the hospital and found a cheesesteak to be "greasy" deserves to contract MRSA during his stay. The dope who complained his fries were soggy ordered his shit off Door Dash. He's lucky the driver didn't eat all of his fries. The folks who called out the teenagers who are getting their first experience working can all get bent. You weren't perfect when you had your first job. Don't forget people like you willingly locked kids in their homes during covid. It's no wonder some of them struggle with social skills and working under pressure. Have a little grace, then eat a bag of dicks for not being patient to them. Don't get me started on that dipshit from Brooklyn. That person who rated the place a one for the soda? I already know who you vote for. Onto the food - the menu is huge. There are a ton of choices with something for just about everyone. There's even gluten free options for those fucking people. There were four or five sandwiches in the running, but it was the Gritty Cheesesteak that ultimately won out on my first visit. And that's a strange decision for me because the Flyers stink and their fans are even worse. They're the worst organization in hockey. Maybe I just wanted fries on my sandwich. Yea - that's it. So the Gritty is a good amount of beef, fries tossed in Old Bay and topped with white cheddar cheese sauce atop a seeded roll. I added fried onions. The sandwich scores higher than the Flyers. I was a fan of the seeded roll which was super fresh. The cheese sauce was tasty and complemented the fries really well. They were super crispy, well seasoned and plentiful. The beef wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was tender and cooked well. All-in-all a good sandwich. The gals up front were attentive and friendly. They took my order quickly. Hats off to the kitchen for getting my food out promptly among the online orders. The place was pretty clean and had a ton of Philly Sports pics on the wall. The take out only shop may have a very small footprint, but it offers a very large, freshly fried chicken sammy, in contradistinction to those contenders from all the other fast food franchises. These tasty guys are cut thin and nicely breaded; and cooked only when ordered, so nothing sits around losing their edge. Upon unwrapping, the roll cannot contain the dimensions of the filet, as it sticks out beyond the bun in all directions. Yet, the bread holds together well, and is a firm grip to the last bite, even with the cheese, bacon, mayo and other garnishment that come with it. We sampled the Spicy Chicken, Chicken Club, Garlic Chicken and Original; two as combos with fries and macaroni & cheese, and soda; and two straight up sandwiches. They were all fairly similar, so unless you object to certain finishes, you can't go wrong with any of them. On the other hand, there was no point to reaching up for the combos, as the fries were limp and unimpressive, and the mac/cheese, strictly from an industrial mix and forgettable. The individual sandwich was $7.49 and the combo $11.99. There was no rationality to the $4.50 bump up, and in fact it approached rip off territory. Maybe, $2.50 could be justified, but they need to reconsider their value proposition. So, really liked the place, enjoyed the chicken and sandwich, but question the need for the exorbitant inferior combos. 3.5 STARS
