Bookplate is a well stocked bookstore, with a blend of new and pre-owned books, some paper products, hand made journals, and cloth bags for re-usable shopping. It was such a joy spending an hour, maybe more, checking out all the books they had, everything from children's books to elder books, how-to, reference, etc. The staff were lovely, friendly and also unobtrusive. Their pricing was very reasonable for new books and for pre-owned books, and the hand-made products I'd say were slightly under-priced. I picked up some postcards, a small journal and a couple of 'beach read' books. I would absolutely stop here again the next time we're visiting.

They suggested several new series for us to try. The books are in excellent condition, and the store is clean and well-kept. Prices are reasonable, and there were even free advance publisher copies at the entrance! Other customers were friendly too. We left with a big stack of new books and are excited to enjoy a nice Sunday reading them. Next time, we plan to sell our used books in good condition to make space on our shelves. What a fun idea!

Also, would like to highlight that the book buyback program is one factor that features great value. My daughter and I had a great time visiting 2-3 weeks back. Staff were super helpful and along with getting some used copies in great condition, we were also able to receive a discount (trip was within 30 days after the date of my birthday). The main street leading up to the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk is filled with stores and restaurants…read more So many that it can feel overwhelming. So many that you may miss a gem amongst them. Sometimes, you also just need to pop in to get away from the crowd outside. I was walking for a while and came upon the storefront. The windows drew me in, plus I was in need of a good, new book to read. I came in and had no idea how large this place really was from the outside. I wandered around inside until I found the sections I wanted to be in. I browsed for a bit, jumping from section to section. I had one book in mind and was out to find it. Unfortunately, the book was not yet released. I had to ask where it was. That's when the staff were super nice and told me the date. I thanked them for the information, and was about to leave. That is until I saw an amazing tote behind the counter that had a print from the my favorite book when I was little. 'The Monster at the End of the Book' I thought the tote was just one sided, having Grover saying 'You turned the page.' Only to come and discover that when you turned it to the other side it has him saying 'You turned ANOTHER page.' Quickly became my new favorite tote to take with me.

Next door is a small book shop where they occasional have events - such as the one I attended where they collaborated with a local shelter to have a kitten adoption event!
